Both attires of Steamboat and Savage have been made in the basic line (Savage was in the BattlePack with tribute CM Punk) and Steamboat was in the "World Champions" basic wave with Mankind and orange Miz But elites if them is ABSOLUTELY necessary Savage was in purple. He wore pink against Steamboat

Otherwise known as the 33rd anniversary of Wrestlemania, I reckon...

Or 32nd anniversary of Wrestlemania, since the first anniversary of something takes place one year later?

I know budget is always the biggest factor when formulating the line-ups but there must've been significant investment in head-sculpt molds and I can't see why MTD doesn't take more advantage of big names like Sting, Flair, Rude, Steamboat etc. to produce more of their colourful looks. Granted they probably feel burned by DM Steamboats's poor sales, but there's so many easy classic looks that require a mere colour dye change in the factory machines... while I love the DM Steamboat, and it was a necessary piece to my Hasbro-inspired Mattel collection....it was a bad choice. A "blink and you'll miss it" look from his shortest run in any company. should've been the white tights with white kimono robe, removable rubber headband, and Classic IC Belt.

i really want a fully outfitted Macho Man Randy Savage from his pre " cowboy" era and pre " macho king" era... i'm talking the extravagant robe, headband not bandana, wild ski - like shades, the trunks tall boots , i do not care which color gear or from what event.. obviously WrestleMania 3 is an awesome choice, although i loved his WM 5 robe more.. i just thought we never really every got a complete savage elite, always missing something.. as much as i loved the DM from WrestleMania 7, it was missing the shirt / top .. but awesome jacket.. similiar with the WrestleMania 8 from his personal battle with Flair ( MACHO FLAIR AFFAIR!) we got the shirt / top but no jacket or hat which would have been perfect with that newer headscan... his hof target excl. is truly awesome great color tights sceptar crown but a matching shirt / top and jacket with the trademark long ( at loss of words to describe.. oh yea TASSELS!!) my favorite figure by mattel is the Legends wave 5 Macho Man, we got his trademark classic tee shirt, those wild sunglasses and his always iconic bandana, most famous trunks boot kneepad color scheme... i just hope the next two randy savage figures are a perfectly complete 1992 macho man cowboy hat, jacket with tassels, shirt tights boots with laces in front and back... and a perfectly complete pre macho king 86, 87,88, macho man randy savage trunks with 3 stars, robe, glasses, headband... some ideas: so what do you guys think? i know we've gotten a good amount of Macho Man figures, i'll never forget how excited i was when his first mattel came out in stores i saw the DM b4 the legends one, and if i remember correctly i bought 4 of the dms from kmart then had to put them in gym locker cause i intended on buyin workout gloves and it was the first Randy Savage figure i bought from a store since his hasbro figs in 89-93 ish..actually my first ever figure was the hasbro savage that came with the blue ring and hogan for christmas 1990 or maybe it was 89... but anywhoo... what do you guys wanna see for future SAVAGE figures from mattel.. of course i would love to see more and complete macho king and then of course nWo savage and his final wcw attire.. but i think its vital to First get those two i mentioned not specific color schemes just those two era classics but i cant say enough COMPLETE i would pay retail $40 if i had to, would prefer $15 ish but what say you?

I agree.. I'm more partial to the IC/HC WWF era Savage looks before Macho King and Cowboy because that's the era a grew up with and when he became my favorite so naturally I'd want all the colored star tights versions along with a robe. My favorite matches are his first 3 MSG matches with Hogan where he wore purple for all and the WM3 match so a great DM would be WM3 with robe and extras. I'd also like a 85-86 era Elizabeth look. and macho in this t-shirt would be a bonus!

Love to see it but its not happening. Stewmboat legends was a horrible shelf warmer and only way savage w.m. 3 is made is a defining moments.
My guess for next year is HBK in your house and Undertaker W.M. 14

that would be a shame if they didn't do anything from that era given the anniversary of WM3

Before I even thought about collecting any figures, I saw Ricky Steamboat and Randy Savage figures in stores. I felt I had to purchase them for the kid in me who fell in love with wrestling because of their match at WM 3. It was the single greatest match of my lifetime and I needed to do all I could to recapture that -- even if the figures didn't look exactly like they did in the match.
MDT, if you and the team were to mass produce Wrestlemania 3 inspired Ricky Steamboat and Randy Savage elite style figures, throw a price on it and I guarantee I will purchase these figures twice over and then some. I need this in my life.

While i have enjoyed all the figures (both basic and elite) mattel have made us for Savage, i think they have yet to make a definitive Macho from any era of his apperances. E23 was closest, as it had a better ,and never resused for some reason, headsculpt and to date is the only figure to feature his top. Although since he wore it during his match with Flair, it counts as ring gear, so realistically its in the same league as many of his ring gear basics. Just with a better head. The DM macho is close, but in order for it to be accurate it would have needed the top. Although if memory serves, i believe it was stated at the time that his jacket wouldn't fit right with the top. E38 didn't really NEED the top, but jacket and glasses would have fleshed that one out totally as Savage often just wore a jacket on top without the shirt during his early WCW days. Ultimately, the best shot at a truly definitive version of a complete Randy would be WM3. Hopefully that one will happen sooner or later. Although if that leaked list of Walmart inventory comes to fruition, we may see a pretty good rendition of Ultimate Maniacs Savage if the budget allows.
As for Steamboat, I'm thrilled with his last basic, so no complaints there. I'm hoping for the green tights version and the black "karate"version to get produced someday for him.

I wish they give Steamboat a new head sculpt without bandana. Even though it's accurate, the mold is now 6 years old. Perhaps a removable headband like Hogan minus the big gaps in the head albeit it won't be as noticeable. Savage should come with the works. Maybe give Savage smaller arms and Dolph Ziggler thighs, and make the white thigh socks a little lower. Also, I would like Savage's boots a darker but shinier yellow.

I want both and would buy both. Make Macho a DM and clear the Elite budget to make room for Ricky's white top.

Due to budget that Savage I would think would have to be a DM which is fine with me. I think Steamboat you could put in the Elite line. I would love to have both of these figures. I needed a Savage with a robe!!!!

Only problem w complete cowboy Mach is the shirt and jacket would probably both be plastic, making for a very bulky looking fig. Even if both were cloth or one of each, it would look weird. Like DM Cena.
