I've been pondering the same thing. I have a few hundred boxes and they are a bitch to store. I figure they increase the value of the loose figure as I am the original owner and can prove so with the box. (In theory that's how I keep justifying it.). It is annoying to keep them though.

I just keep the cards mainly to remember who I have or who in the set I don't have. The backs are great for keeping up who was in each series. Sometimes I look through them and see one that I didn't get and go out and try to find him online. Especially during the times where it was hard to find them in stores.

This seems adjacent to hoarding to me, if you opened the figures I mean, and not to mention a major fire hazard. They shouldn't be worth anything once they're opened, unless you put the figure back in and lie about it being MOC. Of course there's always someone willing to pay for stuff, so to each their own, maybe you could get something for them that I'm not realizing. Lol a major fire hazard? So basically anything else in a house minus glass, steel and Sheetrock

I once collected all the backs of my figures but I just ended up with more clutter than I needed so I threw them out.

This thread just reminded me that it's time I threw out some of the empty boxes in my cupboard... Yeah, they're nice, but they do take up space and it's not like I go and admire the art every now and then. So a waste of space.

Every time you post this, a plastic mold of a mattel figure dies. I would have paid you for the Flair DM box.
