TMZ has an article on Jim Ross' recent appearance on "The Gunz Show," where Ross said his good friend Bret Hart has defeated prostate cancer. Ross said he was recently exchanging text messages with Bret, who had surgery just a few weeks back. Ross said, "They removed the cancer by removing his prostate... His cancer is a non-issue now, thank God. This is excellent news.
I hope he remains in remission. My mom was just diagnosed as cancer free in November and it's already resurfaced so she's back to doing chemo starting next week. It's a very brutal thing so I pull for anyone with this crushing illness. It can come back at anytime...

Bash text me to say that Bret hit cancer with the atomic drop, second rope elbow, backbreaker, Russian leg sweep and Sharpshooter to win. He made sure to work the leg for 10 minutes until submission.
