Two episodes from resurrection, and Jon Snow is back to being a little bitch. Great. I sort of agree with this. I wasn't a big fan of his interactions with his sister. He was very wishy washy. I would have preferred that he was dead set in his mind one way or another. He's not the BA Snow that he was when he declared he was leaving the watch.

Jon was brutally murdered by his own brothers. He now knows what it's like to die and that there is nothing after life. Of course he's going to be shaken up and hesitant to jump right back into the fight. Death and resurrection really messes people up in this universe. Berric Dondarion was in shambles and started losing his memory. There's also that person in the books. I think it would be boring if Jon was resurrected and was ready to roll as if being murdered was no big deal. This isn't the type of universe where death and resurrection have no consequences.

Ingret or whatever the hell her name is, the ginger Wildling, is slowly becoming my favorite character behind Tyrion, Daenerys and Arya (almost done with season 3).
That means she must be nearing certain death.

They turned a sort of comedic fonder character into a heart wrenching death within a matter of a couple minutes.

Great episode thanks to the last ten minutes. Here are my thoughts overall... 1) I have a bad feeling that Blackfish has no army. Another case of Littlefinger being one step ahead of the game. Whatever the case, something seems off-kilter with Sansa's plan. 2) Soooo happy Arya has eyes again. But I still don't know how to feel about her faceless arc. I don't want her to disregard who she is. Her history is what shaped her and makes her story so intriguing. Nice boobs on that actress... And terrifying penis on the actor. 3) Tyrion's scene was interesting. I really hope there's a central villain behind the Sons of the Harpy. A group of bitter slave owners being the main force behind them is so anticlimactic. Also, the red priestess talking with Varys was very intriguing. I loved the look he had on his face. He went from being skeptical to "whaaaat the faaaaaaaa". Obviously the show is building up to a war between the different gods. But it seems like The Lord of Light is the top dog. It's the only god of the ones mentioned that has some kind of connection to nearly every major arc. Yet the Lord of Light has a lot of evils to accompany him as well, so I'd be conflicted if he is "right one" so to speak. Then again he brought Jon ing Snow back. Sighhhhh, I just don't know. 4) Loved the scene with Jorah and Dany. If this is indeed the end of Jorah, that was a great scene for closure between them. I wish they would kill Daario off. Recasting is by far my biggest pet peeve with movies/TV. The original Daario became my favorite Game of Thrones character after one episode. He just had this charm and confidence about him that can't be put into words. When season 3 ended, I was so freaking excited to see more of that guy. So OF COURSE he was the one to be recasted. Stupid stupid stupid decision by HBO. Not only does the new guy look nothing like him, but his demeanor is completely different. Just awful. Kill that dude off already. He sucks. Old Daario was the best. 5) The White Walkers. Okay this is a big one. I really don't know how I feel about this. Personally, I loved not really knowing the White Walkers' origin because it made them scarier and more mysterious. Finding out that they resulted from some forest kids shoving a fertilizer stick in some dude's chest is kind of deflating. On the other hand, I guess it opens up the opportunity to give them more character development. But still. I just don't know how to feel about it. The fanboy in me is trying to justify it. But the rest of me is just like uhhhhhhhh. 6) HOOOOLD THE DOOOOOOR! Such a sad scene, yet so well written. By the way, did anyone have a "Lost" moment during that final scene? It totally took me back to that show. Powerful flashbacks answering major questions. Well, it was no coincidence. Tonight's episide was directed by Jack Bender, the main director for Lost. Pretty safe to assume that his appointment for director of this episode was very deliberate. And it totally paid off because it couldn't have been executed better. Final Thoughts: I LOVE how this season is the antithesis of The Walking Dead in the sense that it is not dragging anything out. So many arcs that I thought would take the majority or all of the season have been powered through without compromising storytelling. Jon's return, Arya getting her eyes back, Sansa's reunion, Dany's escape, and now Bran leaving the tree. Speaking of Bran, I'm loving his story SO much more than I ever thought I would. I ing love flashbacks and they're killing it with this season. I hope there's many more to come. This season has just been fantastic overall. Can't wait for the second half! TL:DR = Tits

Wow at the last ten minutes of this episode. I never really cared for Hodor but damn it if I wasn't tearing up when the big reveal happened. We are 5 episodes into another amazing season so I hope the show can defend its title at the Emmys this September. EDIT:I almost forgot to say that I love this awkward budding romance! Seriously the memes are already here:

Another great end to an episode. That was so gut wrenching. Count me in the "meh on Hodor" club but what a difficult thing to watch. It really hit me hard when I realized he's known the whole time. His fate was predetermined by design and he's known every step of the way, but then he made the "choice" to hold the door. Casual loop, gut wrenching. As was watching Summer, for the record. Meera with the spear was awesome and I think there was a level of fear factor added when the Walkers walked right over the fire.
I do have to say, I was more confused than clarified by the Children of the Forest creating the White Walkers. Was that supposed to be the Night King or simply a random WW? I hope that wasn't just sweeping back story. I get the gist of creating them to fight mankind and then losing a grip on the reins, but I'm curious if we'll get more specificities of that story.
I don't even know what I want out of Arya's story... I feel like when Jaqen says she will never be one of the faceless that he's being literal. Killing with no regard for right and wrong is counter to everything she knows. I actually thought she showed her maturity by watching the play and not becoming driven by rage towards the actors.
Dany and Jon are now both the Prince that was Promised? Someone has to be wrong, right? The Jorah moment was wonderful. I hope that wasn't his last moment on the show. My guess is it won't be. I like timely returns.
This is starting to become one of the best seasons they've ever done. Totally agree with FB about the pacing. I was for sure they were going to drag so much of this story out and they definitely have avoided doing so to this point.

I was for sure they were going to drag so much of this story out and they definitely have avoided doing so to this point. That was indeed the Night's King who we saw being turned into a White Walker. I'm not sure if the TV Show will go into the war between the Children and the First Men more, the World of Ice and Fire talks about it a bit more but it's the same general thing. But then again that doesn't talk about the Children creating the White Walkers either, so there could be more details to flesh out in the show/in TWOW. I would love to see more, because now I'm super intrigued by the idea of the Children creating the White Walkers. To reply to another part of your post, I definitely think they're gonna go do something with both Dany and Jon being called the Prince(ss) that was Promised. Whether it's because they'll team up or fight each other, I'm not sure, but I think it's very deliberate. Also, I'm glad that the TV Show is starting to play up the whole "who is Azor Ahai/TPTWP" question because it's a lot of fun to debate.

Double post.
Can we talk about Meera killing that White Walker? That was awesome, and now she's one of the only three people (currently alive) to kill a White Walker. I've always really liked Meera and she was great in this episode.

That grin is so priceless, I love this guy! They need to have giant babies already. I bet she punches him in the mouth sometime soon and that only solidifies his love for her There's part of me that wonders what if Bran is the one who screwed everything up. What if he has the ability to time travel and he screwed up Hodors mind forcing him to relive his death for decades only to have him die without a choice finally in the way he always knew was coming. What if he went back to the Mad King and was the one who told him to "burn them all" as the Mad King used to rant on to himself aboit and he actually started the ENTIRE war by trying to prevent the white walkers. This show a getting intense and I love it! By far my favorite series.

All I will say is this...if one more Direwolf is killed I am going to riot! All that is left now is Ghost and possibly Nymeria. I still feel the only death worse than Ned's beheading was the way Grey Wind was treated after his death.

Nymeria has been gone for so long now that part of me thinks they're saving her return for something huge...but I'm really hoping they don't bring her back just to kill her off in a cheap "so everyone can have closure" way.

Eline Powell is the name of the girl in the theater troop. If anyone wanted to know. You know, for research.
