Oh, if you censor yourself with the * that's still fine. Flat out beating the censors tho... And thanks mate. She's in good spirits, but being as old as she is with as many health problems as she has, it's tough as this is an ever increasing happening in the last few years. Is this another one of those things where your folks are just incongruously old to have a kid your age, or are my parents just abnormally young? My friend's mom had his little brother when she was 52.

Are you like, the youngest of a brood, or are you an only child and they just up and decided later on in life "hey, know what might be a laugh?"

Both had a couple of bouts with cancer after he came back from 'Nam, so they just kept trying till they were positive nothing was ever gonna happen. Then, an accident. **waves**

My parents aren't the only ones to have shared the story of my siring with me. Oh, my mom loves that tale. It works when being inspirational to someone who's infertile, but not as a common story to the kid who's heard it a billion times.

Well damn, my parents are just a few years older than your parents but I've got what, two and half decades on you? My parents got married right out of high school and had two kids almost immediately. They've never confirmed it but I've check the timing and all signs point to my brother having been somewhat unexpected. I was planned but I still found a way to surprise them. They wanted a girl to complete the picture perfect white picket fence family but I came out a boy. Hope your Mom feels better and can come home soon.

My parents married each other because of the families they both came from. Typical old money stuff. After the lady got her "Mrs" degree, they got hitched and started popping out kids, 3 by 30 then stopped. It is a boring story.

My parents were married at 26 and 27, and moved to California the next day. That was October 13. I was born on July 17.
I'm not good at math, but that one solves itself.

Sounds like some Game of Thrones arranged marriage business. Hardly boring.

My grandfather was an elitist, a trait he picked up from his father and passed to mine. My dad wasn't about to marry anyone who didn't have a pedigree. My parents were always up front about not marrying for love but for security and privilege. My sister followed suit and married some guy who made millions in the tech world. My brother knocked up some piece of trash from Tacoma and got banished for almost a decade. And I moved 2800 miles away from Seattle to go to college in the confederacy and escape that life.

Only thing really unique about my extended family is that I'm probably the only one who will complete college in a few years. Everyone else doesn't know how to use birth control nor condoms and maintain a stable income so there's that too.

Welp, good news is my mom can come home Friday barring any setbacks. Bad news, I've been home once since Friday and that was to change to go to work. WELP. I'M ED.

TFW you start writing your RP again at 8:50pm the night before the deadline and it turns out to be the tightest, most concise draft you've put together in two months.
