Usually this time of the year everyone says (a lot of threads about) how the year's WrestleMania will, or at least has the potential to be, the best WrestleMania ever. Are you sad that this year it will probably not be the case?
WWE has taken such a blow this year, and I'm not just talking about injuries. Their draws are just not there... we can all agree Lesnar is not the draw he was two or even one year ago. Wyatt has lost his mystique and credibility. Cena, Orton, AJ Lee, Brie Bella, Sting, Bryan, Punk, Rollins, Cesaro, The Rock, Stone Cold, Batista, are all out of action when there was at least a possibility for them. Reigns is still not ready, nor has the support of the crowd. Plus, the predictability of his win will just infuriate amplify the distaste for him.
There are a couple sparkles of attraction, though, this year: Ambrose will be in a credible match; AJ Styles', Kevin Steen's, Neville's, Breeze's, among other's (Diva's match) first WrestleMania. In fact, this year might have more "first-timers" than any previous Mania since WWE acquired WCW talent.

Injuries aside, WWE still has enough great wrestlers to put on a quality WrestleMania, but they suck at utilizing their talent.

I mean, the main event is Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker. That's pretty much all you need to know.
McMahonMania is in a real rough spot this year, yes.

I said last year that it was going to suck. I stand by that.

I'm excited. Just as I have been since WM3. I'll judge the show after it's over, not before.

No. Judge it after. Life isn't pretty when you wake up thinking it's going to suck.

It will be a Mania that far exceeds expectations of most people because they will overbook it out of desperation.
I'm excited moreso for the direction coming out of Mania. As long as they don't try to pull the trigger on Reigns as the main guy, I'll be happy.

I'll watch it and it probably will exceed my expectations, but this year will pretty much be a bust for Vince. There's too much working against it. Lack of star power, not too many draws, tough competition, and lackluster build. On that night Wrestlemania will be competing against (among other things) the Walking Dead season finale and the opener of the Mets vs Royals series (World Series rematch). Walking Dead alone is gonna destroy the viewership. Also, by having Roadblock crowbarred in there, they cut the build to Wrestlemania in half. Reigns hasn't even been on the show in weeks so they could hype Triple H vs Ambrose. They haven't touched on Brock vs Ambrose in weeks. You just don't do that and expect to have a Wrestlemania people are excited about.

I'm excited for Dean/Lesnar and Shane/Taker. I'm hoping they do something good with Zayn/Owens.
The only thing I'm really dreading is Roman/Triple H, but I'm probably just gonna watch the Walking Dead instead at that point.

WWE failed to put together a true Legend vs Icon type of Match up. Goldberg, Batista, Austin, HBK, Rock, Hogan, Sting, and Angle are all guys who I'd like to see face another wrestler of their stature.
Matches like that draw. It started in 1996 when Piper and Hogan drew a HUGE buyrate and they did it again some months later.
Michaels Vs Hogan did 500,000 buys on a fairly weak card.
I could go on.
Now I'm well aware some of the guys I mentioned won't be wrestling for very obvious and unavoidable reasons, but they should have done what was needed to get the guys who could.
The right payoff would even get HBK in there imo, throw Austin an offer he simply can't refuse, bend to Goldberg's demands. Give us something of the magnitude we expect for Mania.

I honestly have zero excitement for WrestleMania this year. But then, WM30 is probably the last one is the past 3-4 years that I have been excited for.
As bleak as last year's main event looked going in, at least there was the wild card of Rollins with MITB to save it, and the rest of the show delivered. There's maybe two matches on the whole card I actually care about this year, and I feel like there's much less chance that it's shockingly good.
I guess we'll see what happens, though.

No I am really not to excited. Wwe could of done some great things to build up a solid card even with what they had. Ambrose and Brock doesn't really appeal to me. I mean Ambrose has been getting his ass beat for the last month and no real reason or real build behind it. Roman and hhh is HORRIBLE. I mean they took Roman out until then just so doesn't get booed and they put Ambrose in there. Shane and undertaker is kind of appealing but i wanna see more from taker. Maybe tease some kind of angle against Vince. Other than that I'm not sure what they are doing

I'm only watching for Shane vs. Undertaker and that's about all I'm excited for WM. I really hope WWE learns big time from this and start building stars, cuz a lot of the guys they needed are out injured.

Its sad when you've got the amount of talent as WWE and you see the two main draws as HHH vs Reigns and Shane vs Taker. All the indy talent they have raided recently should have been on the fast track getting them ready for WM, they presumably see how over these talents are on the indy circuit yet they have failed in implementing them in the same way on WWE TV.

It's Wrestlemania. I'm gonna watch it with a few friends, it'll be an enjoyable show and I'll have a good time watching it regardless of the card.
