PYRO! THE WFWF LOGO! PROBABLY SOME KIND OF VIGNETTE VIDEO! A PANNING SHOT OF THE PACKED OUT BARCLAYS CENTRE IN NYC!Alecia Matthews: Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to Nowhere to Run! Daniel Knight: It's a night where emotions are running high, most notably in our main event of the evening. It's also a night underlined by sadness and commemoration of the passing of former WFWF World Heavyweight Champion Shawn Malakai. Alecia Matthews: Samael Ahriman will no doubt be fighting in honour of his long time friend this evening as well as for a chance at redemption. A win here tonight is his last chance at completing his goal of a Grand Slam before his scheduled retirement after Superbrawl. Daniel Knight: Don't forget as well we've also got Cam Nitta taking on the new kid on the block Brandon Bison as well as David James vs. Zoe Schafer. But before we get into that ladies and gents, we have a very compelling fourway match coming up - the stakes are high for the competitors here tonight - what do you think, Alecia?' Alecia Matthews: 'It's fair to say that out of all of these athletes, Mike Jette has the most pressure on him, as he makes his anticipated debut. Seiryu Shimizu obviously looking to build on his win from No Remorse, while both Shapiro and Trevor Wolf will be motivated to win after both men were winless at No Remorse.' Daniel Knight: 'I imagine everyone is looking forward to this one with much anticipation, Alecia. We go to Christina Adina for the ring announcements.' Christina Adina: 'Ladies and gentlemen, the following is a 'Fatal Fourway' match, scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from 'None Of Your Damn "Buisness" (sic) Creek, and weighing 150lbs, this is Trevor Wolf!' Wolf entered to 'edge of a revolution' (sic) by "nickle back" (sic).Daniel Knight: 'He's a bit of an odd sight, but he looks more than capable here. Alecia?' Alecia Matthews: 'I don't understand what change he's actually after especially with the backstory we've read about him. Regardless, he looks ready, Daniel.' Wolf walked onto the stage, lowed his head, put his arms behind him and looked up. He threw his hands forward and pointed toward the ring. Ostensibly to encourage anyone who is 'willing to fight for change', Wolf shrugged when it was clear no one revealed themselves. He wore a cocky smirk with the belief that he was the only one unafraid to stand up to 'the boss'. Wolf walked to the ring, slid in, and jumped up, before slinking back to a corner to await the bell.Christina Adina: '…and introducing participant number two, from Hartford, Connecticut, and weighing in at 245lbs, this is…Mike 'The Fireman' Jette!' Jette made his entrance to CFO$'s 'Fire Away'.Jette stepped onto the ramp, as diagonal pyro shot into an 'X' motif, leading him to run under them. He made his way down to the ring, high-fiving fans on the way. Jetter entered the ring by jumping over the ropes, and scaling the turnbuckle as more pyro went off, with a loud 'BOOM!' sounding shortly after.Daniel Knight: 'This is the debut for the good-looking American youngster - 'The Fireman'; seems like a very nice kid here, Alecia.' Alecia Matthews: 'Nothing wrong with that at all - but does he have the wherewithal to dig deep where it counts? Time will tell.' Christina Adina: '… introducing participant number three, from Odessa, Texas, and weighing in at 200lbs, this is…Shapiro!' Shapiro made his entrance to Newsted's 'Heroic Dose'. Shapiro emerged through the curtain with his trademark white shirt, which read "The Hope Dealer" in blue letters. He stopped on the stage, bouncing from left to right, and switching feet to 'get loose'. As he started down the ramp, he gladly gave high-fives to kids and all who would receive them. He slid under the bottom rope, and walked across the ring. He stopped to take a look out at the crowd with amazement. Shapiro continued to climb to the second turnbuckle, looking out at the crowd as he raised both hands high into the air.Christina Adina: '…and now, introducing participant number four…from Himitsu-No Shima in Osaka, Japan, and weighing 210lbs - he is accompanied by Kaori Oyama…this is…Seiryu Shimizu!' 'Lotus' by Dir En Grey played, with strobe light effects shining around the arena, which eased up before the vocals kicked in. Seiryu made his way onto the ramp, intently staring at all who caught his gaze with a cold, calculated look. Kaori accompanied him, smiling wryly at the fans. Seiryu's garb was entirely white and pristine.
He slowly walked to the ring with Kaori, the two surveying everything with resolute aloofness. Kaori ascended the steps first, and held the ropes for Seiryu to enter. Clad in a sleek white motorcycle jacket, he stood in the middle of the ring, and bowed his head. He gripped the lapels of his jacket as white streamers fell around him, thrown by a growing number of intrigued fans, eager to see what he would bring to the table in a Fatal Fourway match.Daniel Knight: 'As was the case with Seiryu's debut at No Remorse, truer words were not more prescient, eh Alecia? Seiryu impressing once more with his stunning entrance! Alecia?' Alecia Matthews: 'Absolutely, Daniel, such a unique and enigmatic individual, is Seiryu. Can he continue to ride the wave of momentum here?' The referee performed his check for foreign objects on all competitors, before gesturing for the bell.
The bell sounded, signalling the start of the match.Alecia Matthews: 'And here we go!' All four competitors circled one another, moving from corner to corner. Seiryu and Wolf snapped into action first, seeking each other out and exchanging Chops. As they hammered one another, Shapiro took advantage of the melee by attacking Mike Jette, who had looked on at the ferocity of the exchanges from Seiryu and Wolf. Jette composed himself and fired back at Shapiro.Daniel Knight: 'What intensity to start off us off here early from all four men, Alecia!' Alecia Matthews: 'Each man really looking to cement themselves here at Nowhere To Run.' Seiryu lit up the chest of Wolf with several stiff and heavy-handed Knife Edge Chops, wearing away the painted words 'We Want Change' on the chest of the curious 'wolf man'. Wolf cringed in pain, and crumpled as Seiryu followed up the Chops with a Spinning Back Kick to the liver. As Wolf doubled over, Seiryu adjusted his position, threading Wolf's arm through his legs, and hurling him backwards in a Wrist Clutch Suplex!
As Wolf sat upright from the pain, Seiryu unloaded brutally stiff Spinal Tap kicks to the spine of Wolf, before unleashing a Short Front Foot Dropkick to the face.
Seiryu raised his right foot and drove it into the abdomen of Wolf, slapping his own knee and applying untold pain to the wildman.
He scoffed at his body paint, telling him in broken English that he spelled 'can't' incorrectly. He turned his attention to the other competitors.
Meanwhile, Jette exchanged sharp kick combos with a fired-up Shapiro, who egged him on, feeding off the intensity of the match.
Both men were felled as Seiryu charged at them, knocking them down with a stiff Double Clothesline.Daniel Knight: 'Very opportunistic there from Seiryu, Alecia!' Alecia Matthews: 'Absolutely! Though he better watch out for an angered Trevor Wolf!' Wolf recovered from the assaults from Seiryu and clambered toward him, pummeling him from behind with a Double Axe Handle Smash.
As Seiryu writhed in pain, Wolf was himself stopped by Jette, who rose from the earlier knockdown, and grappled Wolf in a Belly-to-Back Suplex.
Before he could wrench him backwards, Shapiro nailed Wolf with a Spinning Heel Kick, the momentum of which caused Jette to complete the Suplex, driving Wolf to the mat with impact!Daniel Knight: 'What an amazing unintentional double team there!' With Wolf felled, and Jette yet to rise to his feet after the Suplex, Seiryu blasted Shapiro with a deft Spinning Back Kick to the gut, doubling him over.
Seiryu snatched Shapiro's head in a Front Chancery and hooked him in a sharp Snap Suplex, leaving Shapiro grunting as he gripped his lower back in pain.
Seiryu capped it off with a stiff Spinal Tap Kick which garnered a rush of energy from the crowd.
His triumph was shortlived as Jette rolled him up from behind in a tight Schoolboy!Alecia Matthews: 'First pinfall attempt of the match!' '1…' '2…' Seiryu wriggled free. Jette gathered himself and aimed a kick at Seiryu as he rose.
Amazingly, Seiryu caught the kick with his right hand, passed Jette's foot to his other hand and skirted under him - before nailing him with a Leg Capture Powerbomb!Daniel Knight: 'Wow, what a move! He's sitting out with it!' '1…' '2…'Both Wolf and Shapiro broke up the pin attempt with zeal.
Wolf tried to mount Seiryu, to pummel him with errant right hands. Seiryu used his background in mixed martial arts and catch wrestling to fight off his back, and nullified Wolf's frenzied assaults.
Jette was continually hounded by a persistent Shapiro, who dragged him away from the other two competitors, attempting to suplex him.
He nailed the suplex and went to follow up with an aerial move, landing an Elbow Drop flush.'1…' '2…'Jette powered out, leaving Shapiro nodding at the fortitude shown by 'The Fireman'.
Meanwhile, Wolf, in Seiryu's guard, relied too heavily on the only thing he knew - savagery. Seiryu's patience came to the fore when he fought through primal strikes to throw his legs up around Wolf's neck in a tight Triangle Choke!Daniel Knight: 'Oh my God Alecia - Seiryu's got Wolf in tight with a Triangle Choke! Could he win by submission here?' Alecia Matthews: 'He could if Shapiro is unable to break it up!' Shapiro raced into position and broke up the submission attempt from Seiryu, and stomped him repeatedly.
Wolf caught his breath, unable to fathom that his narrow-minded style could be thwarted so easily. He brokered a truce with Shapiro, and the two worked together to punish both Jette and Seiryu.Jette played the underdog well, surviving attacks from both Shapiro and Wolf, while Seiryu could not regain the momentum he originally started with due to the double-team moves from Wolf and Shapiro - the two joining forces out of necessitation.
With no recourse but to weather the storm and look for an opening, Seiryu and Jette turned the tables on their foes, using resourceful tactics to catch them unawares. Shapiro had taken too long to execute a stomp on Jette, giving him a scan second to catch it and push him backwards!Daniel Knight: 'Both Seiryu and Jette have been on the receiving end of some punishment here Alecia - could they turn it around now?' Alecia Matthews: 'I think so - what a nice counter from Jette!' The counter had momentarily stunned Wolf from unloading more punishment to Seiryu; he used the time afforded to him to sweep Wolf's legs out from under him!
Both Jette and Seiryu nodded at each other, and went after their foes - Jette attempting a Jacknife Rollthrough Pin on Shapiro while Seiryu followed up the sweep on Wolf with an impactful Double Foot Stomp to the chest!
With Jette pinning Shapiro, the crowd counted along -'1…' '2…'Shapiro was able to kick out, giving Jette a chance to regather. Daniel Knight: 'Wow - such intensity from all four men - which one of them will be triumphant here at "Nowhere To Run"?' Alecia Matthews: 'So much at stake for all four men, Daniel - what a great match so far.' The match continued at a fever pitch, with every competitor continuing to showcase their talents, despite no one being able to edge ahead as a decisive winner.
The match spilled out into the ringside area as well, with the intensity never dropping.Seiryu drove his right knee into the abdomen of Wolf, and followed up with a sterling Axe Kick.
With Jette and Shapiro tied up on the outside, Seiryu continued his assault on Wolf, stomping him ferociously, while signalling to the crowd that he was more than satisfied with the pain inflicted.
As Wolf tried to rise, Seiryu dropped a pinpoint Elbow Drop to the spine of a pained Wolf.
He screamed as Seiryu growled a guttural shriek in Japanese, and trapped Wolf's legs, setting up for the 'Nightside Eclipse'.Daniel Knight: 'This could be it Alecia - this is Seiryu's submission hold, "The Nightside Eclipse"! Will Wolf be forced to tap out?' Alecia Matthews: 'Oh God, I'm not sure if he can hold on!' Seiryu synched in the hold tighter, leaving Wolf no choice but to tap out.Christina Adina: 'Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner by submission, Seiryu Shimizu!' Daniel Knight: 'Shimizu has done it, and done it with unbelievable tenacity. Alecia, he's gotta be one to look out for here.' 'Lotus' by Dir En Grey played as the referee raised Seiryu's hand, his icy stare sweeping across the arena. Kaori smiled from ringside as Seiryu roared in triumph after the referee left.Daniel Knight: Coming up fans, we have a bout between two competitors at very different crossroads in their careers. Alecia Matthews: That's right Daniel, and their success levels are a direct result of those diverging paths. A little more than a year ago, David James was on top of the world as International Champion before a highly publicized fall from grace that left "The Juggernaut" behind bars and out of a job. Daniel Knight: It has been a difficult road back for the man formerly known as Dave Demento, and he's looking to put that and a unsuccessful outing at No Remorse behind him as he takes on the upstart Zoe Schafer. Alecia Matthews: Zoe herself has seen mixed success in her short WFWF tenure, but she looks to ride the momentum of a big win in tag team action alongside the highly touted newcomer Seiryu Shimizu tonight. Daniel Knight: And a win over a two time WFWF International Champion and former Tag Team Champion will certainly skyrocket Zoe from prospect to contender in a hurry. So, let's send it up to Christa Adina to get us started! In The Stars by Icona Pop hits and the crowd rises to their feet. Blue lights flashes throughout the arena. Zoe comes out with a smile on her face.Christa Adina: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Cleveland, Ohio, weighing in at 140 pounds. Zoe Schafer! She walks quickly to the ring while blowing kisses to the crowd. She enters the ring, gets on the turnbuckle and bows to the crowd.Ain't No Sunshine by DMX starts playing throughout the arena as the lights dim down. From out behind the curtain walks David James wearing a hoodie. As the spotlight shines down upon him, he flips back the hood to expose his face to the crowd. James takes a moment to breath in the tension before jumping up and down just a tad bit to get the blood flowing.Christa Adina: And her opponent, representing the Saviors of Salvation, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at 260 pounds. He is "The Juggernaut" David James! Once he's ready, he slowly walks down the ramp and stares directly into the ring. As he reaches the bottom, he surveys the capacity crowd before letting out a brief smile. David unzips his hoodie and takes it off, much to the delight of the women in the crowd. After pausing for a minute, James rolls into the ring and ascends the turnbuckle and throws his arms in the air, signaling that he is ready for the match.
DING DING!
A quick handshake by the two and they circle the ring. Collar and elbow tie up and Dave muscles Zoe back to the corner easily. They stay locked up and the ref steps in. Clean break and Zoe charges in. An aggressive collar and elbow tie up and Zoe manages to push the much larger Dave back a couple steps before Dave spins her into the corner again. Once again a clean break and Dave motions for Zoe to lock up. They lock up and Zoe seizes control of an arm wringer. Dave steps under and seizes control of the arm wringer. A roll to her feet and Zoe uses a stiff elbow to break Dave's hold, following up with a drop toe hold. Zoe spins and grabs a front headlock. Dave works to his feet and powers Zoe off the ground. Zoe slides down the back and rolls Dave up, sunset flip style. Dave rolls through as Zoe rolls back. Zoe charges in and Dave elevates her, press slam style!Alecia Matthews: Look at the power Daniel! Daniel Knight: David James is certainly one of the strongest superstars on the roster and, look at this! Dave looks to toss Zoe up with a high press drop, but Zoe switches positions and catches Dave on the way down with a Crucifix pin,

Kickout by Dave!
Up to the feet they go and Zoe is able to snap off a deep arm drag. Dave is back up and Zoe meets him with another slick arm drag. Dave is up and Zoe crashes into him with a big running dropkick that sends Dave back into the corner. Zoe charges in and Dave elevates her up and over. Zoe holds onto the top rope and lands on her feet on the apron. A shoulder block to the gut and Zoe slides between Dave's legs. She's up and charges the ropes. Dave's waiting on the rebound for a Zoe Wheelbarrow before dumping her with a massive release German Suplex! SH*T!Daniel Knight: What explosion! Alecia Matthews: And a bad landing for Zoe Schafer! Dave sits up and sees Zoe rolling out of the ring. He shrugs his shoulders and rolls to the outside. He grabs Zoe and pulls her up the feet. A scoop and Dave body slams Zoe back first on the apron! Zoe arches her back as Dave spins to where her head sticks out under the bottom rope. He grabs a hold of the head and SPIKES ZOE INTO THE MAT ON THE OUTSIDE! Zoe is a heap on the mat as Dave lifts her lifeless body up and tosses her in the ring. He slides in and has the cover,

Zoe gets the shoulder up!
Dave is back to the attack, pulling Zoe up with a Gutwrench before powering her over with a big release suplex. Zoe writhes around the mat as Dave sets up in the corner. He charges out, Viking Spear coming. Zoe manages to sidestep, sending Dave face first into the corner. Zoe stumbles to her hands and knees, trying to will herself back into the match. Dave is back up and Zoe scores with a desperation enziguri! Dave is on skates as Zoe charges in and smashes Dave in the corner with a big Flying Forearm Smash! Front face lock applied and Zoe runs up the ropes. STARMAKER (TORNADO DDT) CONNECTS!Daniel Knight: Zoe has a chance off the Starmaker! Here's the cover, 1...2...and Dave just gets the shoulder up! Zoe looks shocked and gets back to her feet, motioning for the former International Champion to get up. Dave gets up holding his head as Zoe charges forward. Big headbutt lands and Dave stumbles back to the ropes. Zoe follows up with stiff roundhouse kicks to the chest. Dave slumps into the ropes as Zoe backs up. She charges in and ducks a Dave counter clothesline. Off the ropes on the rebound and she snaps off a huge headscissors! Dave flies head over feet and Zoe hits the adjacent ropes. Schafer Special (Roaring Elbow) coming, but Dave ducks under and behind. BREAKING BAD (HALF NELSON BACKBREAKER)! Daniel Knight: And David James scores with a huge counter! Zoe holds her back in pain as Dave crouches in the corner. Zoe gets up and Dave gives her no time to breathe before barreling into her with a huge Viking Spear (Gore)! Alecia Matthews: And there's the Viking Spear! He broke Zoe in half! Dave drops down, hooking the legs,

3!Christa Adina Here is your winner, "The Juggernaut" David James. "Ain't No Sunshine" hits and Dave stands up, with the ref raising his hand in victory.Alecia Matthews: And David James picks up an important win, his first since returning to WFWF. In the back, Josh Dean is walking through the corridor. The former World Champion stops as the camera pans out, with National Champion Lucas Crowe warming up while keeping his eyes glued to the National Championship.Josh Dean: Looking sharp, big man. Lucas continues to warm up, not taking his stare off his title.Josh Dean: Listen, I know you got a big title match coming up later and you need to know that even though Sam announced an allegiance with me, I won't get involved. Lucas Crowe: Is that right? Josh Dean: It is. Look, you're a talented guy, and you deserve a fair chance to see how well you match up with a veteran of Sam's caliber. But you need to understand that he's going to see Drakz in there. Lucas Crowe: I don't know why that should matter to me. Josh Dean: People are their most dangerous when their back's against the wall. Fact is, he's hungry and you stand in the way of what he wants. You've worked hard for that belt and beat someone I personally trained for it, but I just don't want to see you get caught looking past Sam just because you have size and youth. Lucas looks over at Josh for the first time, smirking. Lucas Crowe: By the way, tell Nikki I said hi. Josh is clearly not impressed by the National Champion's dig. The Architect walks by Lucas, smirking as he stops.Josh Dean: It'd sure be tragic if your promising career got derailed because you trusted the wrong people. He pats Lucas on the shoulder before walking away. Josh Dean: Anyway, break a leg out there champ. Josh walks out of sight. Lucas stops moving and a big smile crosses his face.Lucas Crowe: Yeah, I'll keep that in mind.

"Running Free" by Iron Maiden blasts out throughout the arena, bringing the crowd to their feet in anticipation for the start of the next match.
Christa Adina: The following contest is a SPECIAL SINGLES MATCH, and it is scheduled for one fall!
Brandon Bison steps out from behind the curtain, stopping as he comes into clear view and turns to the right, snaps his fingers, then to the left, snapping his fingers once more.
Christa Adina: Introducing first, from Hollywood, Florida - weighing in at two hundred and thirty pounds - Brandon Bison!!!
The crowd erupts in vocal favor of the relative newcomer as he strides off, making his way down the ramp toward the ring, donned in his signature floral knit shirt. Bison slides into the ring and makes for the furthest side of the ring, climbing the ropes and raising his fist. He stretches and turns to face back toward the stage as he jogs in place, his theme coming to a fade.
Alecia Matthews: The WFWF fans are evidently coming around to this bright new prospect, Daniel.
Daniel Knight: That much is clear, but Bison is going to have his hands full tonight with a tenured name who has shown a lot of promise over the years.
"If you're sick, if you're sick, if you're sick, if you're sick of it. If you're sick, if you're sick, if you're SICK OF IT!"
Cam Nitta bursts out from behind the curtains, cloaked in a black hood and jacket.
Christa Adina: ...and his opponent - from Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at one hundred and eighty five pounds - Cam Nitta!!!
Cam extends his hands towards the fans as he makes his way down the entrance ramp, but he doesn't seem to care much for their high-fiving. Arriving at ringside, he sheds his coat as the chorus swells, igniting the pyro on the stage, which in turn, brings the audience to a rise once more.
Daniel Knight: The fans here tonight have not lost sight of the promise Cam Nitta once showed as a bright young rookie several years back.
Alecia Matthews: Any way you slice it, this match here tonight is a solid win for anyone who counts themselves a part of the WFWF Multiverse!
Cam enters the ring in the corner opposite Brandon Bison, tugging at the ropes, his eyes locked across the ring upon Bison who bounces in place, loosening his wrists and neck as the referee checks both men in for foreign objects.
Daniel Knight: An interesting dynamic here, this evening - while it's not unheard of for stars in the WFWF to have some sort of academic foundation, it is considerably rare for either competitor on opposite sides of the ring to boast such an educated background.
Alecia Matthews: Are you thinking we're in for a match equal parts athletic and psycholo - and we're off...
DING! DING! DING!
The bell sounds, and both men readily eject from their corners, arms at the ready as they circle one another, each looking for the opportunity to initiate the first blow. Bison is the first to call for the lock up, egging Nitta on into taking his hand. Cam pauses to look out upon his audience, almost as if questioning their opinion on the matter, which in turn draws the impatient ire of Bison, who responds with a fierce kick to the midsection.
Alecia Matthews: That's how it's done! Bison is in no mood to sleep on this opportunity here tonight!
Seizing the self created moment of opportunity, Bison grabs Nitta by the arm, and with a great heave, launches his opponent into the ropes. His early momentum, however, is short lived, as Nitta comes flying back with a flying shoulder block, the full projectile of his entire body weight sending Bison tumbling down to the mat.
Daniel Knight: ...and yet, neither is Cam Nitta, who just showed this sold out crowd why you never count out an Abe Vigoda Memorial Cup winner until the ref has counted three!
Nitta springboards back to his feet, throwing a fighting stance at Bison before pausing to throw a fist up to the adoring crowd. Learning from his earlier indiscretions, he quickly turns his attention back to Bison, laying into him with a series of fast paced stomps to the upper torso. Content with the fact that Bison has been thoroughly softened, the young veteran drags his opponent to a sitting position, taking to the ropes once more, returning with a missile dropkick to Bison's face.
Alecia Matthews: Brandon Bison may be considering the idea that he's bitten off more than he can chew at this point.
Riding the wave of fast paced momentum, Cam now takes to the opposite side of the ring, leaping to the top and immediately launching himself into an elegantly executed lionsault. The move seems all but guaranteed to drive an early point home, when Bison takes the last glimmer of opportunity to roll safely out of the way, sending Nitta crashing unguarded to the mat.
Daniel Knight: Brandon Bison at the last possible moment!
Alecia Matthews: That mat isn't exactly forgiving when you miss a maneuver like that.
Daniel Knight: ...and it looks like he's going to try and capitalize!
Bison turns the fallen Nitta over on to his back, covering him for an early grab at the fall.
One...
...two...
Nitta throws a shoulder, stalling the count while still reeling from his misplaced assault moments earlier. Bison drags Nitta to his feet, winds up, and begins laying into him with a series of steady fists. One after another, he continues calculatedly until Cam has to focus to simply stagger in place, at which point Bison hits the ropes, leveling Cam with a devastating clothesline sending him flat to the mat once more. Seizing the opportunity, Brandon once more makes for the cover.
One...
...two...
Alecia Matthews: Not a chan - wait just a second here!!
Nitta rolls out of the cover, dragging Bison over with him and answering the count with his own cover.
One...
...two...
Bison handily launches Nitta off of him, though the opportunity for recovery is short lived, as the agile former National Champion lands deftly on his feet, charging at Bison as he struggles to climb to his feet with a series of blows that find both men engaged in a brief brawl.
Daniel Knight: Yeesh! It would appear the pressure is getting to each of these men here! The ref is struggling to maintain control here!
Each man is able to land several more blows before the referee is able to get in between them, driving each competitor back into opposite corners. Allowing each man to regain composure, he signals the opening for them to proceed, leading each to charge at one another, colliding in a lock up as each struggles to find the upper hand.
Alecia Matthews: Get a load of Kreskin over here.
Daniel Knight: Kres...kin...?
Alecia Matthews: It's a compliment, d-bag. You called it - these guys are trying just as hard to psyche one anther out as they are trying to beat one another.
Back in the ring, it's Bison who ambles past the outreached arms of Cam Nitta, working his way into an advantageous edge over the spry competitor. Wrapping his arms around Nitta in a bear hug, he collides heads with him, staggering him with the point blank headbutt before lifting him cleanly off his feet and slamming him to the mat with a belly to belly suplex.
Alecia Matthews: Call it what you will, but this crowd is getting louder and louder for Brandon Bison every time we step out here.
The crowd roars in approval as Bison energetically climbs the ropes, signaling the start of something big. The crowd secured at his back, he makes his way to a corner, climbing to the top turnbuckle with ease, and pauses, signaling to the crowd to continue their raucous approval, before posturing himself and diving off the top toward the fallen Nitta, his elbow at the ready to drive into his opponents chest.
Daniel Knight: This could be it. Perhaps it's time to call it a night for Cam- OH!!!
Cam returns the earlier favor by thrusting his knees upward, catching Bison's midsection and cutting short his aerial momentum. Still staggered from the one-two impact of Bisons headbutt/Suplex combo, Nitta crawls toward Bison, slinging an a across his chest lazily and coming to a collapse as the ref runs in for the count.
One...
...two...
Alecia Matthews: No!
Bison throws the shoulder, escaping the count and rolls to his side, using the leverage of the ropes to pull himself up to a standing position.
Daniel Knight: As classic a 'back and forth' as there ever was here in the WFWF. Both men have taken their share of lumps and there's still no telling who will come out victorious.
Bison is first to his feet, and is quick to approach the still kneeling Cam with a driven boot to the midsection. The first connects, however, as Brandon comes forth with a second, Nitta counters with an elbow to the midsection. Temporarily staggered, Bison connects with another boot, but it's not enough to take down the now doubled over, yet upright Nitta, who responds with another elbow. Cam seizes his chance, dashing for the ropes and coming back at Bison with a flying cross body. It's enough to take the larger competitor down, but only just - Nitta rolls his momentum back to his feet, only to find himself starting back and the once more upright Brandon Bison.
Alecia Matthews: Neither one of these men can take the other down! It's going to come down to opportunity at this point, if they're to keep this up.
Bison charges now, arm outstretched for a running clothesline which Nitta ducks. Each man hits the opposite set of ropes, and is sent flying back toward the other at full speed. They collide, hitting one another like a sack of bricks, but it's Brandon Bison's weight advantage that topples Nitta into a heap in the center of the mat, allowing Bison to climb back to his feet. Signaling to the crowd, he grabs Nitta by the hair, keeping him doubled over as he pulls his head down between his legs.
Daniel Knight: There's that opportunity, Alecia. It looks to be all over here for Cam Nitta.
Hoisting Nitta above his shoulders, Bison falls back with him, driving his knees into the much smaller man's back, laying him unquestionably out as Bison quickly heads over for the count.
One...
...two...
...THREE!!!
DING! DING! DING!
Bison tosses his head back as the bell rings, remaining hunched on his knees as he decompresses from the trying bout.
Christa Adina: Ladies and gentlemen - your winner, Brandon Bison!!!
Daniel Knight: Impeccable call, Alecia. A hard fought bout between two very able competitors came right down the line to a moment of shining opportunity.
Bison smiles as he makes his way, deflated but victorious, back up the ramp, turning to acknowledge the sold out crowd once more as Nitta slowly makes his dejected way back to his feet down at the ring.
The words “I’m a mother f*cking BEAST!” blares through the arena as Beast by Rob Bailey and the Hustle Standard hits.
Christa Adina: he following match is scheduled for one fall and it is for the WFWF National Championship. First, making his way to the ring, from Detroit, Michigan he is the WFWF National Champion, Lucas CRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Alecia Matthews: Well here we go. Showtime, part two, it seems. This match is do or die for one man, the other, an opportunity to prove himself to be worthy of top notice.
Daniel Knight: Is it odd that the way you phrased that can refer to both combatants in this main event?
Alecia Matthews: Not really. The WFWF's serious sh*t. Lucas Crowe has strung together an impressive amount of good, quality and noteworthy wins over the last few weeks, and he's the man with the plan, walking around the WFWF wearing his WFWF National Championship. This behemoth is ready for a fight.
Lucas Crowe makes his way from behind the curtain. There are small smatterings of boos and a couple cheers that come from the crowd as the big man saunters his way down the ramp. However he stops halfway through the ramp walking process and from behind the curtain comes former WFWF superstar and cohort to a lot of bad sh*t, Justin Tyme. Now it's just boos from the fans.
Alecia Matthews: Really? Justin Tyme's coming out here? Come on. As if this sh*t wasn't rigged enough as it is. No way Drakz wants to put his title on the line at Black Hole Sun against Crowe's opponent tonight.
Crowe gets to the ring and climbs up and over the top rope. He paces inside the ring a bit before facing the camera side and raises his fist, his title held within, the crowd booing intensely. Tyme is at the apron applauding his champion.
"Long ago, just like the hearse you died to get in again, we are...so far...from...you..."
The fans know. They just know.
Up on their feet they are as the lights go out, with flashes of Shawn Malaklai's most memorable moments are shown on the titantron. Throwing David Williams off of the top of the cage. Spearing himself and ZMaster off of the titantron. Having Thunder pinned to the mat, dousing his linen wrapped hand in ligher fluid and lighting it on fire, Malakai winning the International Championship that night. The countless times he's swanton bombed off of the tron in his career. Winning the WFWF Championship, standing tall in the ring that one last time.
Then the photo seen on WFWF.com earlier this week. Shawn Malakai, dead at 39.
"Helena" by My Chemical Romance begins BLASTING through the PA system as the arena gets a little lighter, a figure making his way to the stage. But it's not the figure they expected. Or so they thought.
For the first time since he began wrestling, the challenger is not in his bushido that's made him famous. Wearing a Malakai shirt, multi colored baggy wrestling shorts, a protective cover for his hand and kickpads...
Alecia Matthews: He's wearing Malakai's attitre. Holy sh*t.
The lights kick on and it is, in fact, Samael Ahriman. He throws a couple of kicks on the stage with a flying back hook kick, falling to the stage, and kipping up from his stomach to his feet...flashy. In the ring, Crowe is inviting Sam to join him, and on the outside leaning against the stairs is Justin Tyme, smirking. Sam asks for a microphone from one of the guys at the sound booth who obliges.
Samael Ahriman: Thank you all for being here tonight, and being so supportive. I see the Malakai signs throughout the arena, the shirts and merch for Malakai, Horror...hell I saw some Indy guy wearing a Jimpy shirt...he didn't like talking about those days much. Probably the name.
The crowd laughs.
Samael Ahriman: I was there when he passed. Anyone who knows me knows how close Shawn and I were, and had been for years. He was my brother. not in blood like David is to him, but about as close as you can get. I want you all to know that he went quietly. He went in his sleep, which was what he wanted. He's with his daughter now. Don't fret.
The crowd is hanging on his every word.
Samael Ahriman: He's going to be buried in a few days. After this match, regardless the outcome, I'm hopping a flight back to Pittsburgh to handle some affairs he asked of me. But first, I have some business to take care of here...oddly enough, something he asked of me also. And before you get a big head down there, Justin, no his wish wasn't for me to simply beat your meat head in the ring. He's asked me to rip apart the entire establishment. Burn the corruption in the WFWF and salt the earth where it once stood. And that only starts tonight. My road to SuperBrawl, and the end of the Unholy Trifecta begins tonight by kicking out one of its legs whether it likes it or not.
Tyme is jawing at Sam from the steps.
Samael Ahriman: But I'm a smart man. This is essentially a four on one battle. Crowe, playing the role of lackey, Tyme, playing the role of desperate greedy bastard, Trace Demon the mastermind and Drakz, Demon's b*tch. Actually, you're all his b*tches and whipping boys. Meanwhile what do I have to fight on my side? Well I've got Josh Dean, but he's got his own issues at the moment. So how do I ensure I don't get outnumbered tonight? Well, with a little help from my friend.
“Edge of a Revolution” by Nickelback hits the PA system and the fans rise to their feet as from behind the curtain comes Trevor Wolf, coming up just short earlier this evening, his body paint somewhat smeared, but ready for a fight. He stands on Ahriman’s left. He hands Ahriman the Sakabato, the Lost Samurai wielding his weapon of choice before handing it back to Wolf, for safe keeping.
Christa Adina: And the challenger, being accompanied to the ring by Trevor Wolf, from Ira, Vermont, he is Samael AHRIMAAAAAAAN!
POP! Justin Tyme is still mouthing off on the outside as “Make You Mine” by Modestep, Sam’s normal theme, starts playing from the middle. Sam and Wolf storm the ramp, Sam sliding into the ring and Wolf pulling out the sword and waving it at Tyme, who’s unafraid but gets the message and gets into his corner. Before the bell can ring, Sam leaps onto the much bigger Crowe and WE’RE OFF TO THE RACES!
DING DING DING!
Alecia Matthews: Genius idea to bring someone out here to watch his back. Knowing this lot, they’ll try something.
Daniel Knight: But why Wolf of all people?
Alecia Matthews: Wolf’s got a bone to pick with Trace and Drakz, common enemy. And I get the feeling there’s a bit of unspoken respect between Sam and Trevor.
Daniel Knight: Kind of like what was between Shawn and Sam when Sam first got here?
Alecia Matthews: Look at you, you’ve done your homework.
Ahriman is pounding away at the head of Crowe, trying to inflict as much damage as possible as quickly as possible. He’s not used to being outsized. However after about a dozen or so punches, Ahriman is tossed off of Crowe, almost to the other side of the ring. Ahriman hops to his feet and throws a couple of stiff kicks to Crowe’s shins, backing away before the champ can land a shot.
Alecia Matthews: Ahriman using a style not often utilized, hit and run tactics. But I still have to ask myself, why is TYME out here? I get Wolf, what’s Tyme doing? I know he’s tied with Crowe at the hip, but he rarely joins Crowe at ringside.
Daniel Knight: Plan B. He and Crowe were entrusted with one simple task. Stop Ahriman from getting a shot at the WFWF Championship at Black Hole Sun. No matter the cost. Numbers game.
Sam throws a wild punch, but it’s caught by Crowe, who hauls back and delivers a chop to the bare chest of Ahriman. Suddenly, not wearing the bushido seems like a bad idea. And another knife edge chop. And another. And another. Sam tries to get his other hand up to block but it’s his lame hand and as a result, Crowe continues his assault of chops, backing Sam into the corner. The champ now throws a couple of hooks into the gut of Ahriman and pulls him up sideways, showing his immense strength by keeping Sam in place while he ascends the turnbuckle.
Alecia Matthews: This is very, very bad. Very bad.
Daniel Knight: Well it’s not good.
Crowe is standing on the middle rope, Sam sideways to the champ’s chest and Tyme is applauding his protégé’s ability as Crowe straight up launches Ahriman up in the air and to the mat with a disgusting thud, hitting the avalanche fallaway slam. Crowe methodically walks to the body of Ahriman, placing a boot on his chest, flipping off Wolf on the outside. This does, in fact, constitute as a cover.
… 1 …
… 2 …
…
Ahriman gets his shoulder up, a look of relief on the face of Wolf and a sigh of relief from the WFWF fans. Crowe picks Sam up by his hair, ragdoll tossing him across the ring. After the last toss, Crowe gets a tuft of Ahriman’s hair in his hand. He wants more. He wants blood. Lucas pulls Sam to his feet and throws a couple of European uppercuts before hooking Sam in a Euro stance but snapmaring him to his ass and trying to lock in the Motor City Blackout!
Daniel Knight: He gets this, end of Sam’s hopes.
Alecia Matthews: COME ON SAM.
Sam tries fighting his way out of the lock of certain doom, able to get a hand in between Crowe’s arm and his own throat able to relieve some pressure but Crowe is just too strong for Sam to fight off. He drops the arm. He’s fading. He ref grabs his arm, up, down.
… 1 …
Up, down.
… 2 …
Up….and it stays up, the ref waves off the out, Ahriman is still in this! Wolf is pounding on the steps and chanting Sam’s name, the crowd getting behind him full force. Ahriman, in a last ditch effort, pulls his arms up above his head and claps Crowe’s ears, causing Crowe to release the hold and stagger. Sam now starts to mount a comeback. He starts throwing haymakers and kicks and chops, he’s throwing everything but the kitchen sink at the WFWF National Champion.
Tyme gets up onto the apron to ry to distract the ref so Crowe can get back into it, but it backfires mightily as while the ref’s back is turned, Wolf slides the Sakabato under the ropes and Ahriman picks it up and bashes the sheathe into Crowe’s head repeatedly. As Tyme gives up to get the ref back into it, Ahriman tosses the weapon over the rope and Wolf kicks it under the ring.
Daniel Knight: That’s not legal.
Alecia Matthews: The deck’s so stacked against Samael, I don’t blame him! He’s desperate and the fans are loving the show. He might actually do this.
With this all out assault, Samael has Crowe backed up into the corner. Tyme has hopped up onto the apron again, trying to get the ref to break up what he believes is an illegal maneuver (well he isn’t entirely wrong but hey) and before Tyme can fully make his case, from out of no where comes Trevor Wolf with a drive by dropkick onto the apron into Time’s hip. Tyme and the ref bump heads and the ref goes down as Tyme and Wolf scuffle on the outside. Crowe takes advantage of the downed ref and goes low on Sam. Crowe gets Sam locked into The Motor City Blackout, and Sam IS blacking out.
Alecia Matthews: COME ON S….WHAT?!
“Sounds of Madness” hits the PA system and the fans lose their sh*t! from behind the curtain comes WFWF International Champion Cameron Stone! He’s bolting to the ring, title in hand.
Daniel Knight: What’s he doing here? He hates everyone involved in this match. Probably hates the ref too.
Stone slides under the ropes and before Wolf can get to him, or Crowe can get fully turned around, STONE TAKES DOWN CROWE WITH THE TITLE! The studs on the title cause Crowe’s forehead to bleed a bit. Cam slaps the ref who’s still down. He picks up Sam and leans him against the corner. Stone is jumping up and down, hyped. He looks to the outside of the ring where Justin Tyme’s starting to get the upper hand on Trevor Wolf. He shouts something at Wolf as Stone runs the opposite ropes and PLANCHAS TO THE OUTSIDE OVER THE TOP! WOLF PUSHES TYME INTO STONE’S CROSSHAIRS AND TYME IS OUT. Stone is on his feet, whispers something to Wolf, pats him on the back and grabs his title belt and vanishes through the crowd.
Alecia Matthews: BODIES EVERYWHERE! SAM’S UP TOP!
Sam, groggy, has made his way to the top rope, kisses his hand and raises it to the sky and drops a killer Phoenix Splash onto Crowe. Wolf rolls in and drags the ref next to the cover. Wolf Stands guard behind him to make sure Tyme doesn’t try anything. The ref, slightly alive, counts.
…………. 1 …………….
…………… 2 ………………
…………….. 3 ………….
DING DING DING!
Alecia Matthews: HE DID IT! SAM! DRAKZ! WFWF CHAMPIONSHIP! IT’S ON!
Daniel Knight: But let’s not forget the most important part in all of this…
Christa Adina: Here is your winner and NEEEEEEEW WFWF NATIONAL CHAMPION, SAAAAAAMAEL AHRIIIIIIIMAAAAAAAAAAAAN!
Wolf grabs the belt from the timekeeper and hands it to Sam, wrapping an arm around the man who can’t really stand this moment. You’d think he just won the WFWF Championship the way he’s reacting, the fans are chanting his name, then Shawn’s, then his again and sticking with his through the end. Sam kisses the title and points to the sky, tears in Sam’s eyes.
Alecia Matthews: We all know why he REALLY wanted this match. And it has nothing to do with Drakz’s irreverent Grand Slam reference.
Wolf grabs a mic for Sam, holding it to his mouth for him.
Samael Ahriman: Like I said, I'm gonna do this with a little help from my friends.
“Seizure of Power” rips through the arena and everyone’s eyes are drawn to the stage. Sam is stood with his back to the ramp and his eyes close in dismay as the music plays out signalling the arrival of the WFWF’s sole owner.
Alecia Matthews: What does HE want?
Trace Demon walks out onto the stage with a mic in his hand and a pissed off look on his face.
Daniel Knight: Ahriman realises something amazing here tonight and Trace has to have his say on that. I don’t like this one bit Alecia.
Trace Demon: Cut my f*cking music.
Seizure of Power quickly drops out and the crowd’s previous chorus of cheers has turned to vitriolic boos.
Trace Demon: What the hell was that? What the f*ck was that circus?
Sam slowly, and calmly turns around to face his detractor.
Trace Demon: You think I’m going to let this kind of thing slide Ahriman?
He points at Trevor Wolf.
Trace Demon: And you Wolf, you had better choose yourself some better friends because right now you’ve made it onto my sh*t list and that is a VERY dangerous place to be.
The outstretched finger now aims at Ahriman.
Trace Demon: You might feel smug about what just happened here Sam, but guess what? I’M THE F*CKING BOSS AROUND HERE!
Ahriman leans over the ropes toward Trace, holding his National Championship aloft and spitting venomous words in the owner’s direction.
Alecia Matthews: OH GOD!
Daniel Knight: Not again!
Drakz has slid into the ring behind Ahriman and he’s chomping at the bit motioning for him to turn around. He does and Justin Tyme slides a folded steel chair under the ropes. Drakz with a boot to the gut and he hoists Ahriman up onto his shoulders causing him to drop the National Championship. He then drills Sam down with the Needle Damage right onto the chair!
Alecia Matthews: I can’t look.
Daniel Knight: We all know what’s coming……
The crowd are incensed!
Trace Demon: In lieu of the controversial ending to the main event tonight, I want to make sure you people go away feeling as though you haven’t been cheated.
The boos are deafening!
Trace Demon: I’m ordering an immediate rematch. Samael Ahriman will defend his WFWF National Championship against Lucas Crowe RIGHT NOW!
And that’s it. The crowd start launching rubbish onto the ramp and into the ring. They’ve seen this before and didn’t like it but a second time is just insulting.
Crowe, now on his feet, is patted on the back by Drakz and he lays his entire weight across Sam’s shoulders.
Alecia Matthews: This is disgusting.
Daniel Knight: Where on earth is Joshua Dean while all of this is happening?
The bell rings and referee, looking confused and knowing he’s about to take part in a travesty of justice, hits the mat.
… 1 …
Daniel Knight: It was fun while it lasted.
… 2 …
… 3 …
The ref calls for the bell and “Beast” begins to play.
Christa Adina: Erm….Here is your winner and new(?) WFWF National Champion, Lucas Crowe!
Drakz picks the National Championship up from the mat and hands it to Crowe before spitting on the downed Ahriman. Trace, eyes locked on Wolf as though to warn him not to bother, enters the ring as does Justin Tyme. The ring is really filling up with discarded drinks, food and anything else the fans can get their hands on.
Alecia Matthews: We might have a riot on our hands here. I think we need to leave Daniel.
Daniel Knight: You don’t have to tell me twice.
Drakz and Trace Demon hold Crowe’s hands high and Tyme applauds with a huge grin on his smug face. We fade to black on this image, an image that bodes nothing but fear as it becomes clear that Trace Demon and Drakz are tightening their strangle hold on the WFWF gold.
