Rollins injured Sting, and then himself. Don't let anyone tell you that Karma ain't a bitch. apparently you missed Sting saying it was his fault because he didn't tuck his chin. Or did Bret tell you Seth screwed Sting? Sting is way too much of a class act to throw someone under the bus for a mistake they made. It was a mistake, there's no doubting that. But the mistake was absolutely made by the guy who threw the other guy so he landed on the wrong part of his body... TWICE. Rollins is at fault. It's a stupidly dangerous move and it was bound to happen to someone eventually. If Sting is at fault here, then every single person who has ever been injured in a car accident is at fault too.

Also, to everyone saying WWE booked him horribly, look at his age and physical shape. Do you remember how WWE booked the Hogan at Summerslam in 2005 and 2006? Do you remember how it was received? Mind you, Hogan was also 2-3 years younger than Sting at the time and was still around the physical size he was in in WCW. Had Sting looked like he had at BFG 2006, it would have been more believable. Let's also breakdown his opponents.
Triple H: - Better physique then when he semi-retired in 2011. - Beat former MMA fighter Brock Lesnar at WM 29. The same Brock Lesnar that broke the Undertaker's streak and decimated John Cena the following year.
Seth Rollins: - An up-and-comer. - 26 years younger. - In great shape. - One of the best wrestlers in the world today. - Despite whatever the original finish was, Sting was evidently injured during the match and even collapsed, Seth had to win at that point.

I dunno how anyone could say it was good other than his wrestling. Sheamus' was short and sweet, plus he actually put on some entertaining promos and matches. Mic work is not Rollins' strong suit. I got sick of the same formulaic stuff he did every single week, and he was booked so pathetically that I started caring more about the US title. Legitimately one of the least entertaining title runs ever..to me at least. Not to derail the thread cause this should be about Sting.

Things happen in the ring and I'm 100% sure Seth was honored to be able to wrestle Sting and I'm 100% sure Seth had no intentions of hurting him. Sting could've said "Hey, I don't feel comfortable with this spot." And it would've never happened. Just like Sting could've said, "Hey, I'd like to win my first and likely only WrestleMania match." And Triple H wouldn't have beaten him. I seriously don't see how anyone could blame this on Seth and be serious in doing so. It's asinine.

Liar is a strong word. I prefer class act. Not only did Sting say he himself was at fault, but also that Seth was the greatest worker he has dealt with. I assumed the latter is exaggerated, but I doubt Sting would have put him over that much if Seth was at fault.

White Ranger Sensual Seth ing Metal Seth himself is good, everything they gave him was not. He only had good matches because he wrestled like a babyface. He's a natural babyface, and should be booked as such. I didn't want to hate his title run, but I just couldn't force myself to enjoy it. All in all, it was horrible and the viewers agreed as ratings declined rapidly. Anyways, super glad I went to NOC to see his last match.

Rollins did it completely accidently, and Sting is too much of a class act to make trouble for him over a mistake when he was towards the end of his career anyway. Owen Hart didn't intend to injure Austin. Goldberg didn't intend to injure Bret. Doesn't mean those things didn't happen and weren't the fault of the people executing those moves.

This news is bittersweet as a fan of Sting's for ages; hindsight being 20/20 his WWE 'run' was weak at best but for him - at his age, to have the career he's had, to have had a moment in the 'big time' which is what he wanted - I respect that.
Thank you Sting.

I think everyone knew from the start Sting wasnt coming in to be a full time long term wrestler. He was basically brought in to be a "legend" type figure. The only big time match that couldve happened was Sting/Taker but i feel like that match is 10+ years too late.

how ing amazing must Seth Rollins be feeling right now? he got to be Sting's last opponent. in Sting's last match, for the WWE title. To which afterwards Sting said Rollins was the best he ever worked with. Pretty good for a former ROH superstar.
