..but later turned out to be easy to find?
For example. I was super excited to find the BAF CM Punk, and I bought that one first because it was the only one I had the cash for/thought it would be hard to find. Yet it still sits on shelves to this day.
Another one is the Elite 32 Daniel Bryan, which I got first/was excited to find due to the new headsculpt. Much like Punk, you can go anywhere and still find about five rotting the shelves.
One that I don't regret was the DM Sting. Legit spent like two different days driving all over, and the second day I went out to get a haircut. I was about to give up when I decided to try some crappy Walmart that never had anything. Low and behold, they had one DM Sting left. I hate to admit it, but I practically ran to it lol

Literally the week before Christmas, Target had the Basics on sale for $8. We went into one and found Hideo Itami all by himself. Another Target and Xavier Woods all by himself. I felt lucky to have both at the time- and was really excited for them- but have since seen pegs full of both at Target and Walmart. It kind of takes some of the air out of your sails, thinking you only had one shot to get that figure and then you see thirty more chances to buy it, but Itami is still one of my favorite figures Mattel has made.

I thought E34 Doink was gonna be a real tough one. Found him once, that was it. Months later, E34 gets about a million restocks everywhere, and i could have (and still could) troop build Doinks.

BAF Elite Christian. Was late to the game, snagged him on TRU's ebay page, and saw tons of him in-store a month later. This was at the tale end of that BAF series.
Actually, all the elite BAFs were like that. Took forever to find them, then the shelves ended up clogged with them.
Luger was another.

DM Undertaker #2. None of my local stores had it for a while. Then I snagged it a few months ago. Now it won't leave the shelves...
HoF Slaughter: Checked different stores, found it 20 miles from my area. Now I see him in every other store.

E16 Kevin Nash. It pretty much is what got me addicted to collecting Mattel figures. Did you read the entire opening post? which figure were you excited to find but then it became easy to find...... I haven't seen many on here that said nash was easy to find.

Yeah the first time I saw him in the wild I wad like "this is one of Mattys best figures" and scooped him up. How was I to know he would peg so hard? Cloth good figures usually never peg, let alone any UT.

well, me then. I'll pass, you're not my type. But to answer the real question , though, the biggest case had to be Basic Rosa Mendes with me. I drove all the way to a new target I've never been to to buy her. And she turned out to be the biggest shelf warming diva figure I've seen personally.

I'd say DM Taker. Lol I was the first one to find it at my local Meijer. It had just been announced to retail. Hindsight is 20/20.

Four Horsemen, definitely.
Also, Entrance Greats Undertaker. I ran all over looking for that sucker like crazy for almost 2 months straight, til I finally found one in December 2010. then about a year later Ollie's Discount Store got in about 100 of him for half price...
