Eric Young is one of the most underappreciated wrestlers in the world. I'd love him in NXT.

Young is ok as a comedy character, but never bought into him as a serious heel or even face. And no way that dude is passing a wellness test. I remember seeing him in person and being struck by how odd his muscles looked on his body.
Roode is ok. I've never been huge on him, but he's also only had TNA's garbage to work with. I'd be curious to see him get some more character in WWE/NXT

I think bobby roode will turn up in nxt at least once Eric Young i could see going to GFW or back with TNA in a few months Roode is 39. He may have some stock in him as a trainer for NXT rookies. I doubt they'll use him on tv. If they do, it won't be for long. It's a shame Beer Money has to disband because of this, but I understand he would want to try something new. I've been wanting Eric to come to WWE for the longest time. The man manages to reinvent himself constantly. He's very good at selling, and his charisma was always off the charts to me. He could play a very hilarious comedy wrestler, or switch it up and be this insane heel. He's 36, which is around Balor's age, so he might get a somewhat decent run with the company before he hangs it up for good. He will have to go back to using the Flying Elbow though. No more Spike Piledriver.

Don't move this to the TNA board! Else it won't get read!
Good news for Roode and Young, bad news for TNA. Roode is a natural, I've always wanted to see him get the chance to flourish in WWE. Now, it might just happen!

Roode reminds me so much of (slightly) younger Triple H, that I could see Hunter signing him to a NXT deal. As I said in the TNA board, I think Roode could make a great NXT heel champion. Plus he adds name value to a company that is going to be losing stars to the main roster soon. With rumors of Balor, Joe, Enzo, & Cass all getting called up soon, Roode could help fill that void.
I enjoy some of Young's comedy work. As a angry heel, I'm not sold. And I said in the TNA boards, I think Young will end up with JJ in GFW. I'm not sure if WWE or NXT would be interested in Young.
Both need a fresh change of scenery badly. Their shtick in TNA has grown stale. Same thing I said about Storm & Joe. Storm IMO made a mistake career wise by rejoining TNA. But I understand it from a finical standpoint. Joe has been completely reinvigorated by his time in NXT. I became a fan once again.

Bobby Roode and Eric Young have requested and been granted their releases from TNA Wrestling. They finished up their storylines at tonight’s TV tapings in Orlando. Both men have been with the company since 2004. TNA issued the following statement, saying: “Impact Wrestling has come to terms on the release of veteran wrestlers Bobby Roode and Eric Young (Jeremy Fritz). Bobby and Eric have been valuable members of The Impact Roster since 2004 and we wish them nothing but the best in their careers going forward. Bobby had this to say earlier today, “To the guys and girls I got to work with for the past 12 years, Impact Wrestling, the office and everyone associated with me getting to live this dream, I say thank you. It is time for me to move on to the next chapter in my life. This has been amazing.” Eric Young had this to say. “Thank you. Thank you to everyone who watched me for the past 12 years. Thank you to Impact Wrestling. I wish everyone here nothing but the best going forward.” Executive Vice President of Creative and Television, John Gaburick added, “Bobby and Eric are true professionals. We salute them for the 12 years they gave TNA. With a Superstar roster including EC3, James Storm, Drew Galloway, Jeff and Matt Hardy, “The Destroyer” Bobby Lashley, Gail Kim, The Wolves, Maria Kanellis-Bennett and “The Miracle” Mike Bennett we couldn’t be more excited about showcasing the finest wrestling in the world for the Impact fans.” In the coming weeks be sure to see the final matches of both Bobby Roode and Eric Young on Impact Wrestling at 9PM EST on Pop TV.” ------------------ Don't really care about Eric Young but this is Bobby Roodes chance to come to WWE, he's not getting any younger I didn't move this, but since someone did, I'm gonna merge it with the thread I made last night.

and nothing of value was lost. EY sucked from day 1. Roode is okay in tag teams but otherwise screams "generic mid-card"

I have been friends with Eric Young for well over 30 years, dating back to when we were 5 year old kids. I messaged him on Facebook after I read about him and Bobby leaving TNA. He said it was in fact true, but didn't say if he and Bobby were going to NXT. He just said, "we will see what happens from here."
