My own speculation here...
I was talking with a friend of mine about the next 2 rumored DM's - Warrior and Cena. And we were trying to speculate what they could be. I got to thinking about how we've been getting more repacks of classic/legends style figures over the past 2 years, with either added /different accessories or different paint deco ( Andre, DDP, Arn, Tully, DM Taker, DM Austin, upcoming Kamala). And that even the DM line has now become open for repacks if necessary. Which brings me to Warrior. Truly,he has one defining moment that stands out above the rest, one that cemented him in immortality - beating Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania VI. Now, we already got that figure in Legends Series 6, but it was a beautiful looking figure, and the paint deco was great. But, again, it's not above Mattel to rerelease a figure in the DM line. But,of course, what would be the hook - Taker was it was a reissue of the SDCC exclusive that a lot of people missed out on, Austin was he comes with the rare Big Eagle and Smoking Skull Belts ? .... What was Warrior missing.... The Yellow Strap Classic IC Belt. People would buy it just for that, but I bet they throw in the (proper this time) Black Strap Winged Eagle Belt.
So, there's my theory. 2016 Defining Moments Ultimate Warrior will e the Legends 6 figure repacked with black Winged Eagle and yellow Intercontinental Belts. Any thoughts?

I'm sure they would reuse the plastic Taker coat again like with the Nasty Boys.

I'm bored of the re-packs. I already have L6 warrior. There's enough stuff already coming out that I don't want because of just re-packing and re-painting.

I don't think it'll be a re-release. Preety sure Bill stated that Taker and Austin were both last minute replacements for someone he thought they could make and the Hogan incident.

Firstly I'm not a fan of straight up re-releases. The figure should always be different so as to differentiate it from the original release.
Although i'd prefer something original, i'd be ok with a rerelease of L6 Warrior but i think they should give him the 2 belts as suggested. I also think they should make him 'battle damaged' so have the face & chest paint smudged. For a real DM treatment i think a different headscan/hair & real thread tassels (ala Jakks) wouldn't go amiss.

The DM Undertaker repack was a result of the Hogan situation. The DM Steve Austin repack was most likely a result of the Mick Foley situation, although that was never confirmed. I don't see repacks being a trend in the DM line unless they are last minute replacements.

I guess we all forget last year when all those little leaks said we were getting a Warrior Dm. That didn't happen did it?
The Cena warrior listings we saw in that crazy ass Walmart thing are in no way shape or form confirmed. And more than likely placeholder names no the actual reveal wasn't ruined (or they just straight don't know what they are doing with those yet. They are very far out. )

Has Mattel actually confirmed that these are the DMs? I think "What?" posted it. But maybe they ARE just placeholders to stave off leaks. That would be pretty smart. MattelDesignTeam if you haven't thought of this you should.

If the Warrior DM happens I think it'll be a WM6 post match smudged paint with both title belts Of course id love the RAW return, with duster and mask, but I really can't see me ever getting that figure. If be very pleased with a WM12 though

They definitely should, it doesn't look quite right with perfect, untouched pint with both belts. Jakks did it I'm sure Mattel could

If be very pleased with a WM12 though I think a lot of people would see the smudged paint and think it got messed up in the factory.

Jakks did it I'm sure Mattel could Oh I'm sure they could too I just don't see them doing so. Doing that would basically restrict the sales to hardcore collectors as I don't see many parents buying their kids a figure that looks like it got half painted and smeared on its way into the box. Especially at the DM price. IMO However I could be wrong. That thing would warm just as hard as the DM Taker. Possibly worse.

Post-Match Ultimate Warrior with no paint and both Belts. That way the collector's who want it would get it, and they don't have to worry about it pegwarming all over. It's an iconic look, something that's at least semi-wanted, and sweeten the deal by including the first ever Yellow IC Belt. They just have to make sure to use the original headsculpt rather than the "poofier" hair they use sometimes. His hair was full of sweat and hanging down . use this head: rather than this:
