Maybe they couldn't get KVE. It's possible he might not even have wanted to do it.

It doesn't make any sense to have current roster guys to induct somebody in the HOF. It should be reserved for a Legend or a WWE alumni I disagree. Christian inducted Edge, Cody inducted Dusty, HHH inducted Billy Graham, Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair, multiple active guys inducted Eddie, Del Rio and Natalya among others have also inducted people. There's nothing wrong with active roster members inducting people. Most of the people you listed have some sort of relation to the inductee. New day has nothing to do with the freebirds. Lots of long time fans won't like it. Especially if they followed the freebirds.

Let's also not forget that New Day are the current tag team champions. At least in that regard beside the Freebird rule they have a connection of the current champions inducting the legendary champs.

There was no real connection between Natalya and Alundra Blayze from what I recall, just that Nattie felt influenced by her. Same with New Day. Long time fans could just get over it and enjoy that the Freebirds are going into the HOF.

As much as I like New Day, this makes no sense at all. It doesn't make any sense to have current roster guys to induct somebody in the HOF. It should be reserved for a Legend or a WWE alumni My thoughts exactly! The inductees should have some sort of relation with the person/people going in. Everyone knows New Day is going to get a monster pop when they come out just to induct. I think it'll kill the Freebirds' momentum.

The only people who should be anywhere near the induction of the freebirds are Kerry von Erich or Steve Austin.
I suggest Austin because he was so adamant about them going in this year. Plus they heavily influenced his career.(and actually worked with him)

How is it not obvious for DDP to not induct them. Kevin Von Eric would be a top choice obviously but he may or may not have wanted to do that (he's very meh with public speaking) but DDP would be an obvious choice for it.

Or, as noted earlier, maybe they couldn't get anyone else to do it so why not have a team that was probably influenced by them do it? They're the only team to use the Freebird rule in forever as well. It just seems like a petty thing for fans to get mad about.

Hell, it could even just be WWE ribbing Hayes. Not exactly the right time to do it but I wouldn't put it past them.

Some people just don't understand. You wouldn't put undertaker in without someone like Kane doing the honors and vice versa..

I really don't see how this is a big deal. Like...at all. I've been trying not to believe it; you know, give people the benefit of the doubt and whatnot, but some people really do take the Hall of Fame way too seriously. Or rather, some people take it too seriously over certain things while others take other parts of it too seriously. I try not to be one of those people that blindly lumps everyone together.

To all the people who say it makes no sense: New Day constantly uses and talks about the Freebird rule. It's a present day trio paying homage to a classic trio who's foundation has lead to New Day's success. It moreso doesn't make sense because Hayes is a well known racist lol Well this should be interesting...

Kevin Von Erich was never a good promo, so I don't mind him not being the one to induct the 'Birds. New Day makes sense in that they are kinda, sorta this gen's 3-man team of note. I'd rather have Ted DiBiase do their induction. He had a great feud with P.S. Hayes back in the UWF days that led to great, hot matches with the 'Birds facing off against Ted and a variety of tag partners (Dr. Death, Terry Taylor, Duggan, etc.)

It's the WWE HOF... I'm never going to understand why people still to this day continue to get this upset by who's inducting who or really anything relating to the HOF.
