Future value/use of collecting

I plan to take the Egyptian burial chamber route and have all my figures and collectibles sealed in a tomb with me. Still working on the arrangements.

I'm your age. I stopped collecting Jakks figs when I was in 5th grade, around that time the product was fine as I was a huge fan of Orton (still am) and I have so say, after WM 26 I wasn't too fond of wrestling, even NJPW, but 3 years later, I youtubed some Jakks reviews and a pop, goes ELITE 20 CM Punk which got me into collecting again. Idk man, I always feel bad after I buy a figure for the 1st day, then the next, I'm like "hell yeah"..
I didnt think my figures were as important until my job required me to start travelling for them for weeks at a time, so I'd actually take a good 12 to 20 with me on the plane to have at the hotel while there. Since 2013, I reached up to 62 figs, then sold about 35 my senior year in high school. But as of now, I finally reached 100 on the money from last week's IRS and DM SCSA purchases.
Even when figures have a bit of smudges or a jacked ankle, I still see a nice figure in each one of them. As you and I,we're pretty young as collectors, we would think in a couple years we wouldn't have these anymore but he'll, I have 2 rings, with a 3rd on its way. My room is crowded with elites and empty elite boxes.
Good luck with your purchases, and if you need to sell them for any reason, I feel as if 6 figure lots sell the best on the Bay, especially if the price is less than 90 bucks.

Just keep them. They don't take up much space. You will love them later. I kept all my old toys in my moms attic for 15+ years and now I've gone back to get them to show my son and let him play with (half the sh*t is ruined because of the attic temps). All my old video games survived and TONS of Lego sets neatly stored Star Wars and gijoe didn't fare as well
It'll make you feel good if that day ever comes and forever because your son will know your favorite wrestler characters.

I have never purchased a figure thinking what it's future value will be. Everything I buy is someone or something I have fond memories of. I look at someone on my CS and Legends shelves and can instantly remember a moment from my youth watching wrestling with my father. When I am dead my wife and daughter can do whatever they want to with my collection although I would hope they will keep them for my grandchildren. Especially my DC/Marvel collections.

Just buy a Kevin Owens figure and have him put them all through tables. It's fun.
