Wrestlemania 2 is my least favorite. Outside of the Dream Team vs. British Bulldogs and the Battle Royal, I didn't enjoy any other match I would have to agree

I really wish there was a cutoff on this thread at about wm27/28, because I really don't consider the last five WrestleManias part of the discussions on the classic board. Thay're still to modern to me.

Anything after Wrestlemania 10 with the exception of Wrestlemania 20. Somewhere along the way Vince/WWE forgot that Wrestlemania was suppose to be a grand event showcasing the best of the best in great matches and not a "how many people can we fit into a huge stadium before the Super Bowl does"

Also the Super Bowl was only held in the Silverdome once and that was 5 years before in '82. That and Wrestlemania III was built up to be the grand daddy of them all and it was booked that way. The very next year (2 years to be exact) they went in had their shows in front of 18k people.

And 4 especially sucked. I understand the mentality you're talking about but Wrestlemania has never been about wrestling. It's been about mainstream exposure. And that hasn't changed. Sometimes it was with celebrities i.e. Mr. T, Alice Cooper, or Lawrence Taylor. Sometimes it was the real life issues they tried to glom onto like using the first Iraqi war for the backstory of their main event. Sometimes it's the moment, i.e. The fact that Hogan vs. Andre is lame ass match expect the moment we all know and remember. And now the mainstream exposure is the fact that Wrestemania is essentially a week live event now.
Only hardcore fans care about the matches themselves before all of the pomp and circumstance. WWE has our money already. They are trying to get new fans invested and they aren't gonna do that by holding Wrestlemania in a small venue.
With that said I would agree. I was at this years show and the experience was amazing but even with a decent seat I was so disconnected with the ring because I was watching TV the whole time with no commentary. I wish they did kept it to an arena but just ain't happening.

I have not seen every one. Out of the ones I did see, it's 29 for me.

I find it funny how people crap all over the wm 9 ending today, when everyone I knew back then was beyond excited that hogan was back as the champ. As far as the worst wm goes, XI comes to mind as awful.
