Watching the year 2000 in order and appears there's a lot of missing smackdown episodes. I was curious if maybe there jusy not appearing for me or are they really not there?

They haven't uploaded a majority of them yet. They'll probably be uploaded soon though.

Since you're on the free trial, check out this Reddit page: www.reddit.com/r/wwe_network/. It shows what's being added daily (for the most part) to the Network. It's not run by the WWE, however, and any questions or whatever can be directed towards them on Twitter.

They released most of the first 30-40 Smackdowns when the Network launched (the only notable one I know is missing is the one where Eddie got hurt - the first one after the Radicals debuted, but there's a couple others, too) and a few others from the year 2000. But unlike the "Attitude Era" update that Raw got, Smackdown never really got fleshed out in that era after day one.
I was watching every Smackdown in order but eventually it got so scattered I just switched to Raw and stopped with Smackdown.

Well to be fair, they only added the RAW's from 200-2001 a few months ago.

They added December of 1997 to January 1999 around the 1st anniversary. Then about 6 months later, February 1999 to November 1999, IIRC.

Why they haven't posted Smackdown episodes from 05-09 is beyond me. It actually really pisses me off.

I'd like a playlist feature where you can just select a year like 1999 or 2002 and it gives you all content from that year in order. Raws, Smackdowns, PPV, and everything in between. They should really be filling in all these gaps in episodes.

Another thing I feel they should add is a recently uploaded section to show what they uploaded recently

Another thing they're missing is the earlier '93/94 Hardcore TV episodes, though it could be a case of the original tapes destroyed

It takes time to upload full episodes I guess two years isn't enough time. Shaking my head! It takes time for the WWE to digitize and make edits to all of the footage they have. This is why it took them a while to get the ECW Hardcore TV episodes from 1995-2000 uploaded. The people in charge of doing so can only do a finite amount per day. For their own footage in the HD Era, it wouldn't need to be digitized. Though they would need to make edits here an there. I have said it since the day the network launched, give the WWE time to upload most of the footage they have. Most people here have very little knowledge on the process of making things look presentable on the network. Another thing they're missing is the earlier '93/94 Hardcore TV episodes, though it could be a case of the original tapes destroyed You can get the missing episodes from RF Video. They have a box set from the first 74 episodes.

They are also trying to keep people subscribed, which is why they are being released periodically. We are quite fortunate they aren't taking things down.
