I was trying to costumize an elite Andre the Giant and removed the blue paint off his torso from the Heenan Family 4 pack and it made a very sticky glue like mixture. It actually ended up gluing the torso and waist together. I used nail polish remover and a magic eraser why did this problem occur and how do I avoid this in the future? Was it the magic eraser or the glue coming out of the figure itself? Any help would be appreciated.

Glue and remover eat at the plastic if rubbed to hard or left on to long good night. The nail polish is very very challenging to work with

It sounds like you used too much acetone, it seeped into the cracks and fused the plastic. In the future, don't splash the acetone on a figure, dip a sponge or lint-free rag into it then swipe at the figure with it.
If I remember right, Magic Eraser is basically fine sandpaper, so that isn't a problem. Also, nothing ever "comes out" of the figure, don't worry about it.
