What a waste. Bunch of re-releases. Cheap Mattel. Not to make this a semantics thing, but the only one of these figures that's really a re-release is Steele. |

Mattel has some explaining to do on Jake's torso. The previous version was perfect
Wish Steele still had his cloth shirt instead of flowers since I never saw any of Legends series 4, but I know the deets on soft goods by now since it's been hammered into our heads
Other than that these look great and I'll definitely get Edge, which is definitely the best figure of the set, and Steele. May get Jake and Booker but I'm not sure since I already have both and Jake's a downgrade on accuracy

What a waste. Bunch of re-releases. Cheap Mattel. Not to make this a semantics thing, but the only one of these figures that's really a re-release is Steele. I meant in regards to new characters. Who wants another Steele, Jake and Edge when we have them already. Oh wow Edge in camo gear why cant that wait way down the line until we get characters we havent gotten yet, like a superstar Billy Graham or someone? If you werent around for the Legends figures then tough, I hate all these people getting another chance to catch up. If Mattel want to go down that route then where will it stop? Will a random figure from elite series 42 get another re-release down the line say Finn Balor for example because he sold well? Its b.s Give these spots to characters we havent gotten before. Why not Superstar Billy Graham, Bob Backlund etc? Mattel wait too long and then something happens and they'll end up getting cancelled...they give us a American Made Hogan before NWO Hogan and looks what happened there, yes this is an extreme example but you kinda get my point. |

Mattel can only make figures of guys they have the rights to not whomever the hell they want. They have released several figures of new characters recently (Godfather, I.R.S., Sid, Umaga, Bobby Heenan, Jimmy Hart, Big John Studd, Nasty Boys) with several more rumoured to be coming soon (Jim Neidhart, Koko B. Ware, Tugboat).

Dude, ive been saying that for the past year. Mattel have been cheaping out like crazy and Im not seeing enough complaints from members on here. All I seem to do is complain when I post which I dont like doing but you cant let Mattel get away with the things they have been doing. They have been botching their figures all over the place, Machos with no shirts/vests, re-releases like Mr Perfect in the HOF set with the exact same terrible torso as the legends release. I could go on forever and a day but Ill not repeat myself. Id like to know why these cost cutting measures are in place because its not acceptable. I don't think the majority the customer base for WWE action figures honestly do not care about which torso is being used, or if there are repaints being released, considering a lot of these guys like Steele, Edge, and Roberts haven't been released in a long time. I can understand your frustration as you must be a hardcore collector, but keep in mind that these are essentially TOYS that are being marketed towards CHILDREN to play with. Torso choices are sure to be the last thing on a lot of the consumer bases minds. I am a pretty hardcore collector myself and honestly, I can't even notice a lot of the issues that a lot of you guys complain about. Much like everything else, I think a lot of you guys are really jaded, just like most of the rest of the IWC in general. If you don't like something, then stop collecting. Nobody is making you buy these things. I will slightly disagree with you on just that statement. Whereas most Mattel figures are directed towards children, It would be very hard to convince me that Legends/Flashbacks/HOF line is directed that way. Its clearly a collectors/adult line as very few if any 10yo is going to know who George The Animal Steel is. |

Out of all the figures in the HOF line including the 4 packs, only Windham, Hart, Studd, and Tito are new figures. The rest are retooled repaints. |

Finally someone posting what I have been meaning to everytime I read this comment about these figures being aimed at children. The legends / flashback figures are definitely NOT aimed at children, they are marketed for adult collectors who used to be children when these guys were wrestling back in the day. How many kids can name you 5 wrestlers from the 70s/80s or even early 90s, outside of the big names?!
I still don't know why they are releasing another elite George steele, that figure should be a basic and his spot should be taken by Koko B. Ware (if the rumours are correct and a figure of him is coming).
