I got this set for Christmas in 2003 and absolutely loved it. But I always had a problem with the roof, I could never get it to stay on. The parts would not connect properly and would just cave in to the ring so I had to just play without a roof. I had a friend in my class in school who returned his because of the same problem. Did anyone else have this issue? Attachment Deleted

Mine was fine, loved that set, closing both sets of doors would usually help the roofs stability I found.

I adored this set. In fact from when I got I in 2003 until I went away to college and stopped figure fedding in 2006 I used the ring as my main one. I know that probably sounds weird to the people who like to keep their Feds on the more realistic side, but I loved using the side panels as part of the wrong and built an entrance ramp that matched them in height. I did have the same issue its the roof of the chamber though. It would always collapse in the middle.

I used a glue gun to stick my roof together but it didn't hold very long.

I had the same problem, mine always caved in at the centre as well.

I had the same problem and was never able to get the roof on or the doors to snap. The playset I had was the TRU Exclusive version that came with Shawn Michaels and HHH. I ended up selling it a few years ago.

Yes, I had that issue. My brother bought me one for Christmas, and it was the flimsiest playset ever. I ended up using the base parts as a commentary table.

Does anyone know if the real scale version is just as flimsy. Ive been debating buying one. I already have 3 rsr's so i don't know if i wanna make more room.

The only problem is that it's so big it takes a terrible amount of space.

Far from flawless. It didnt come with the steps and the chambers were in the wrong places and didnt have breakaway glass.

The prototype never had steps and the chambers both have breakaway glass... unless you have a different one. For the Real Scale one the promo pictures did indeed have steps, and the pictures on the box show them too. I was miffed because they weren't in there. The pods on it also did not have breakaway glass. But they slide better than the smaller ring ones. The ring didn't have ringskirts either so you couldn't really have it be a normal ring unless you had some to hand. That was around the time I started making my own so I was set. But must have bothered some. It's a brilliant set, very big so I can't have mine set up all the time. I only get it out about once every couple of years, debating whether I should sell it (got the box too), but don't want to part with the real scale ring. The smaller first one was awesome. I got it for my birthday in August 2003, and had much fun with it. Sold it in 2008 when I got the RSR version. It was very small and cramped to play in there, but at least it's not humongous and easier to store than the RSR. Got some good memories off it.

Yes, I could never get the roof to properly close on mine either. I bought the Hardcore Elimination Chamber playset at Toys"R"Us on Halloween Day 2004 and I used mine until I got my first Real Scale Ring in April 2005. I can't even begin to tell you how much this ring means to me and how it kick-started not only my Jakks RA figure collection, but also the Jakks RA figure fed I ran until I went away for college in August 2006. I know how you feel, crush. Last October, I dug mine out of storage and took pics of it all set up again, minus the roof pieces, on the 11th anniversary. Here are the pics: Even with its wonky ring post and inaccurate number/placement of pods, I wouldn't dare sell it. I would often use the pieces of the chamber later for my entrance stages, so it still came in handy even after I moved on to bigger and better rings.

Wow I never knew they made an RA HBK in black heart tights!

I had the same issues with my roof. I never understood either why they only made 2 pods when there should have been 4 but it was somewhat acceptable.
