RAW begins with a video package highlighting The Dudley Boyz assault on The Undertaker at Fast Lane
Mr. McMahon opens Raw, much to everyone’s surprise. Vince says that the Dudley Boyszhave to explain their actions here tonight and we are not going to wait much longer. “Come on out here Dudleys so we can get to the bottom of this.” Brock Lesnar’s song hits.
Brock and Paul Heyman enter the arena. Vince is clearly annoyed. Heyman and Brock get in the ring. Heyman offers to shake Vince’s hand, but Vince stares back at Paulie. An angered Vince then screams into the microphone, “I KNOW YOU HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE DUDLEY BOYZ BEATING THE HELL OUT OF UNDERTAKER AT FAST LANE.” Heyman responds by questioning Vince as to whether or not he really believes that. Heyman begins putting over “The Conqueror” Brock Lesnar when The Authority’s song hits. Triple H & Stephanie come down to ringside. An intense Triple H accuses Heyman & Brock of trying to take over Raw. Heyman says that he has no control of what happens in WWE, but he knows someone who does. Shane McMahon’s song hits. Shane O-Mac comes dancing on down to the ring.
The ring is now divided with Vince, Triple H & Stephanie on one side and Shane, Heyman & Brock on the other. Shane talks about how he has Authority that not even The Authority knows about.
Shane explains: “In 2008, I was the General Manager of Smackdown and Triple H was dominating as the WWE Champion (this happened at the time in my federation). But I had a meeting with you (points to Vince) saying that I wanted to make a stipulation for Triple H. I came up with an idea that if Triple H lost his WWE championship he must retire from active competition. Vince and I had this meeting behind closed doors and he actually considered my idea. Even though he was not a big fan of it, we never cashed in on the idea because I, Shane McMahon decided to leave the WWE. Before I left however, my father agreed to this idea, if I ever came back. So, here I am. Paul Heyman & Brock smile. Triple H & Stephanie look at Vince stunned. Shane announces that effective immediately, the next match Triple H loses, he will no longer be an active superstar. Triple H starts kicking the ropes and screaming at Vince. “Is this true?” Triple H asks. Vince gulps astonished at this information being revealed. Shane then says he is now going to do what is Best For Business. At Road Block, there will be a No. 1 Contenders Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Triple H will face former champion Kane. The winner will face Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania. Good luck Triple H. Your livelihood is on the line. Shane leaves and Brock & Heyman follow behind him. The Authority is livid as we go to break.
Kofi Kingston def. Ryback with Trouble In Paradise when Ryback missed a Meat Hook Clothesline. After Kofi’s win, Xavier Woods grabbed the mic and bragged about how all 3 members of New Day have beaten Ryback in the last week. Woods challenges Ryback, who is still down in the ring to a 3-on-1 handicap match at Wrestlemania.
Backstage after the break – Ryback finally arrives in the back when Mean Gene approaches him. Mean Gene asks Ryback if he accepts New Day’s Wrestlemania challenge. Ryback says “The Big Guy NEVER backs down from a fight. No matter what the odds.” The Usos enter the picture and inform Ryback that they have his back at Wrestlemania. The Usos ask Ryback to make it a 6 man tag at Wrestlemania. Ryback says, “I don’t need anyone’s help. I am Ryback.” Ryback then walks away.
Heath Slater & Bo Dallas def. Wade Barrett & Sheamus when Heath pinned Wade with a rollup
In Shane McMahon’s locker room, Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman are chilling. Shane tells them that since I still technically have power, I am going to make another match for Road Block. Triple H may have to retire at Road Block, but I think Vince should come out of retirement. At Road Block, Shane tells Brock Lesnar that he will go one-on-one with Vince McMahon. Brock & Heyman laugh hysterically.
Divas Championship re-match: Natalya def. Brie Bella clean with a Sharpshooter submission to retain her title. Lana watched at ringside, she came in and gave Brie the X-Factor after the match.
Mean Gene is seen running to Vince in the parking lot. Vince, Triple H & Stephanie are all leaving the arena. Vince screams at Mean Gene. “If Shane wants to be in charge tonight. I’ll let him have his fun… for now.” The Authority leaves Raw as Mean Gene tries to get Vince’s thoughts on facing Brock at Road Block without a response from Vince.
A huge announcement is made by JBL at the announce table. Next week, on the final Raw before Wrestlemania, we will hear an announcement from none other than Hulk Hogan.
Quickly back to the parking lot, the Dudley Boyz are seen arriving to the arena. Mean Gene runs up to them. Mean Gene explains to Bubba & D-Von that The Authority just left, and recaps the fact that Shane seems to be running Raw tonight. Mean Gene then asks if the Dudleys will explain their actions from Fast Lane. Bubba tells Mean Gene he will in the main event of Raw. Bubba tells Mean Gene that the reason for that is because the Dudley Boys ARE the main event. D-Von gives Mean Gene an “Oh Testify!” before heading into the arena with his brother.
Up next, we are informed that Chris Jericho will officially challenge Dolph Ziggler at Wrestlemania for the Intercontinental Championship, but tonight they will face off in Pick Your Poison matches. Ziggler’s match is up next. Who has Jericho chosen as his opponent.
Dolph Ziggler comes out and awaits his opponent. Jericho has chosen The Bulgarian Brute Rusev. Dolph def. Rusev with a Superkick. Jericho is seen watching on a monitor backstage, which he destroys as Y2J also takes out other lights and cameras backstage.
Up next, we will hear from Sting.
Sting comes out and to everyone’s delight he accepts Big Show’s challenge for the US Title at Wrestlemania. Sting says that rumors of his retirement have been greatly exaggerated. He thanked the WWE Universe for their support and said he will see everyone at Wrestlemania. Sting is about to leave when Eric Bischoff’s song hits.
Eric Bischoff, who has not been seen in my federation in like 10 years gets in the ring with Sting. With the smirk on his face, Bischoff tells Sting not to worry and that he comes in peace. Bischoff says he knows how much the United States Championship means to Sting and Bischoff reminds him that the US Championship means a lot to Eric Bischoff too. Bischoff asks Sting if he can be the referee for his US Title match at Mania. Eric offers his hand out to the Stinger. Sting refuses to shake Bischoff’s hand and departs the ring as we go to break in a bizarre manner.
Chris Jericho def. Mark Henry with a Walls of Jericho. Both Ziggler & Jericho won the Pick Your Poison matches tonight.
Bray Wyatt (w/ Erick Rowan) squashed R-Truth when he pinned him off a Sister Abigail. Goldust ran down trying to make the save but he was clotheslined out of the ring by Erick Rowan. Roman’s song hits. Tag Team Champions Reigns & Ambrose approach the Wyatts as there is still a score to be settled between these two teams. The tag champs get in the ring as Bray & Erick cowardly jump out. Reigns & Ambrose are looking for a fight. Bray grabs a mic and screams, “Our families will meat again at Road Block.” The lights go out as the Wyatts disappear. The lights come back on as Reigns & Ambrose briefly look confused. The Dudley Boyz song hits.
On the stage, Bubba Ray begins ranting about how the Dudleyz beat Undertaker in 2004 (in my federation) for the WWE Championship. Bubba reveals this as their motivation for attacking the Undertaker at Fast Lane. D-Von says at Wrestlemania, we are going to end The Undertaker once and for all. Roman grabs a mic and with no emotion says, “Why don’t you two quit ranting and get in this ring and fight, if that is what you are here to do.” The Dudleyz drop their microphones as they are set for action.
The Dudley Boyz def. Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns in a non-tilte match when Bubba pinned Ambrose after a 3-D as Raw concluded.
