These aren't comics per se', but basically storybooks with Marvel characters...I bought this set for my young nephew ahead of Christmas...$18 for 15 books, not too shabby... Hope he enjoys - aw, who am I kidding, it's right up his alley, and I love that. That's a killer deal, I woulda kept it for myself though. lol.

Went to the local shop last week. Picked up Venom 1&2, Inhumans vs X-Men 0&1, and Punisher/Doctor Strange 1. Still gott give Death of X a read too.

Finished the Whisperer War saga in TWD. Very underwhelming for me, maybe I set too high expectations for myself, but it was eh.

Never heard of Nextwave, when did it come out? A few years ago - written by Warren Ellis. That issue had the characters preparing to defend a city against Fin Fang Foom, but for some reason he was wearing underpants. 😀 Dirk Anger is in it as well. (I found this hilarious) Jesus, that is gold.

Read the latest Walking Dead (#162). Pretty cool. ComiXology put up a classic issue of the original Secret Wars for free! My January so far. Latest free offerings on ComiXology...all #1's too (though Nextwave was already mentioned previously) The Punisher Noir wasn't too bad - though none were compelling enough to check out the rest of their issues (except Illuminati and Moon Knight, which I've already read) What's everyone else reading right now? Have you read any other Noir issues? I may be in the minority with liking some of them, but I thought the Spidey one was pretty neat.

The Spidey one too, that's the only other noir issue I've read. I liked it, but not enough to seek the rest of it out. I'm actually headed to a comic shop today here in Melbourne (never been before) so I'll see how it goes! (Been reading selected Annihilation Conquest issues online - how about you?) Right now, I'm reading Injustice Ground Zero, Hal Jordan & the Green Lantern Corps., and Star Wars. All really good so far.

Anyone read Thanos: A God Up There Listening?
I found a digital-only copy; 6-parter...awesome story...involves Ego The Living Planet and Thane.

Did anyone hear of the new "Generations" event Marvel is planning? Marvel needs to chill with these events, they just finished Civil War II a couple of months ago.

Added all twelve issues of Watchmen on Imgur, and some selected issues of V For Vendetta. Bit of an Alan Moore kick, I guess...! Really great writer, definitely one of my favs. I went on a Moore kick a couple of months ago actually, haha.

Got the Uncanny X-Men Omnibus Volume 1, just over a week ago, starting from Giant Size X-Men to Uncanny X-Men 131. Just finished 105, getting near the end of the Phoenix Saga. Really enjoying it so far, may think of getting Volume 2 Omnibus to include the Dark Phoenix Saga. Funny to think they've been using the All New, All Different tagline since 1975 (Much better than the current stuff personally).

I've already read X-Men vol 2 #1-4 (which included the following Omega Red story) & the Wolverine miniseries, but yeah, pretty much the first time I've properly read through Claremont's run. I've always liked the X-Men going back to the animated series & thought I'd do a proper read of the books.

Ahh, see, I was going to suggest you go from the Claremont run, straight into his "What If I had stayed on The X-Men Book" run, "X-Men Forever" Which ran in 2009-10. It's such an interesting read. Actually, the "X-Men Forever" story pick up RIGHT AFTER X-men vol 2 #3 and just keeps going.
It runs a little over 30 issues counting an Annual and I only wish I could've/would've read it right after reading Claremont's proper X-Men run.

Latest pickups ($18!) I love Alex Ross's artwork, especially the Harley and joker one.
