I watch Impact so I'm not in the dark, but I'm kind of lost on what this title is supposed to represent.
The KOTM is a special match, right? Jarrett won it and then lost it during the GFW storyline.
So..shouldn't it be defended in a KOTM match? Or is it just a Midcard title now?
I think they need a Midcard title..but I'm confused how this title came to what it is now.

I honestly don't think TNA knows what that Title is suppose to be. How many times have they renamed that belt in the last number of years?

The King of the Mountain Title is basically their midcard title, but it is occasionally defended in King of the Mountain matches. If I were booking that title and TNA really wanted to bring back the King of the Mountain match for Slammiversary or as a once a year thing, that title would be the equivalence of the Rey de Reyes tournament that AAA has. Whoever wins the KOTM matches every year would be in line for a title shot at the World Title at the next PPV. It could be a great way to build a new main eventer.

The TNA Legends, Global, Television, King Of The Mountain, or as I like to refer to it as, the Le-Glo-Vision King Championship Title, is TNA's version of the Intercontinental Championship Title. It's a step below the WWE and TNA World Heavyweight Championship Titles, and a step above the United States and X-Division Championship Titles.
I would have preferred them to either keep the original name, or have new and different Championship Title Belts for the Global, Television and King Of The Mountain Championship Titles, but name changes doesn't bother me much. What bothers me is that this specific Championship Title Belt is my favorite in TNA, because of the use of the crown and nameplate feature. I like it more on a black strap. It should have been TNA's version of the World Heavyweight Championship Title (Big Gold) Belt as far as status goes.

What does it actually say on the Title anyhow??
Does it just have "TNA" written on it, and then they can name it whatever they want whenever they want??

From the looks of things all they have done is put a blank nameplate over the word "Legends" which was on the belt. It looks really cheap in my opinion. If your company can't afford to get a new belt made, just quit using the same belt over and over again under different names.

when they relaunched TNA Impact....as a live show...and were in Hammerstein ballroom I think??.....they presented it as the Legends title to Booker T.
then Rob Terry had it i think.
they basically forget that it exists most of the time

I thought that belt worked best when it was the TV title and had to be defended every week.

It's a completely pointless title that has changed names 100 times yet they can't afford to actually change the physical belt itself.

No is always been TNA's belt they just renamed it the KOTM title during the GFW invasion. If it were a GFW Yorke it would be neon lime green. But yeah, just like the KOTM match, this title makes no sense.

It is a useless belt, made only because Booker T wanted a title. It means nothing and is worthless.
Of course, some belts in the WWE and WCW were worthless at times, and they have come and gone over the years. I don't think a roster as small as TNA needs that many titles. But I guess it's a midcarder belt, because guys who aren't upper-carders or X Division people have nothing to aim for.
Remember the European title in the WWF? For a while it was very cool, and then it was just lame. The Hardcore title, too. And the TV title in WCW. The KOTM title is like that.

one of the most useless titles around... I liked it best when they made it the tv title to defend every week.. except..that fell apart damn fast...

They really should retire the belt and create an entirely new TNA Television Championship or rename this one. The design is excellent, but it's already been changed so much so it seems like a good idea to retire this one.
