From the ages of 3-7 I had Ljn figures, and if I had the guy bleed I would put marker all over their face or where ever, and some cases being a 3-7 year old I used permit.
Then from 7-12 or however old I was then Hasbro ended. When some of the waist or arms got loose I put masking tape on them, but never took them off so now that I'm older I have been cleaning all the tape off them.
