Ill never forget hearing so much crapfrom Red Sox fans about how all of the Yankees championships were "bought" and here we are on the cusp of Boston winning another title again with the highest payroll.
Wasnt it CM Punk that said it, you've become what you hated the most. You've become the New York Yankees.

I’ve actually been saying this for a few years now and had stopped supporting the team because I feel the ownership has lost touch with the fan base. Everything I grew up to hate about the Yankees was now staring us in the mirror. However, this team grew on me this year because the players have such a positive vibe now with this new manager. I realize this may not last long and once again I’ll probably be disappointed the way they throw money around to try to keep it patched together. Big high dollar contracts that don’t pan out are very discouraging not just as a fan but as a hard working member of the community. |

The best team all year wins it. My wife and I visited Boston in late March and had a great time and I did a tour of Fenway Park so I'm happy for them. Now let's get to the off-season so I can see those new Padres unis.

Often times your utility pieces go streaking and it's such a short time period they can be the star of the show. It even tricked the Red Sox into signing Panda for mega money going into 2015. It's also why saying a guy isn't "clutch" in the postseason is nonsense. Like A-Rod took that abuse in New York for years and then had a 1.7 OPS in 2009. Given enough time, meaning at-bats, players perform at the levels they do in the regular season. Most players just don't get the opportunity to either reach their numbers or fall back down where they belong. Pretty boring series other than the last few innings of Game 4. Felt quite a bit like that 2015 World Series only people could actually be happy for the Royals when they won. |

Boring WS. Especially compared to the last couple years. Excited for the offseason, though. Hope the Phillies make some waves. Kinda perplexed, as Machado's behavior this postseason has really soured me on him, but I'm not entirely sure I'd rather have Harper, either. Still, we need a big bat, and I think we need to end up with one of them (and Trout next year, obviously).
Also need some more bullpen and rotation help. Wouldn't mind seeing a good defensive utility player signing, too, because the defense obviously needs an upgrade as well.

Congratulations to the Red Sox on winning the World Series when they shouldve been crippled by paying Hanley Ramirez, Pablo Sandoval and Rusney Castillo $51 million this year for 177 ABs/6 HRs/29 RBIs. Dave "Empty the Farm" Dombrowski really cleaned up the mess left by Ben Cherington.

Went to my first ever championship parade today with my son  He was on my shoulders and had a really great view and I saw very little lol. I’m glad I took him, he will remember the confetti most probably and the swearing on the train. We played catch on the common while everyone partied. A very pretty day |
