So when I first saw the "leaked" line ups for Elite 43, I didn't think Samoa Joe was accurate as it would be his debut figure and it's already in the Elite line up. Most people usually get the basic treatment first.
So quick questions for the die-hards:
We're there any other superstars that had a debut figure as an Elite, not counting flashbacks/legends or 2010 figures?

Bray Wyatt had an elite before a basic. Stores got elite 28 before basic39 Bray but the basic came out first, it has the 1st time in the line sticker  To answer the OP all I can think of are RVD and Paige off the top of my head. |

By Elite 3 I think everyone was already in the basic line and then only RVD and Paige got one before a basic after that.

RVD I think. E27 RVD is the only RVD I own. I wish they made more RVD elites.

Didn’t e39 Sting hit before b55? E39 Sting had the new packaging and B55 Sting had the old packaging so I'd guess no. DM Sting definitely did come out before both however and that was elite. |

Didn’t e39 Sting hit before b55? No, I totally bought The Crow Basic Sting at Target before finding Elite modern Sting at Toys R Us. I hope that Samoa Joe being made as an Elite before Basic means that Mattel will consider this trend for some other talent who are already well known. I'd say Sasha Banks needed an Elite before Basic but it's too late for that now. So I can only hope for Asuka and AJ Styles to be Elite before Basic and, eventually, Austin Aries and Shinsuke Nakamura as well. Though upon his return, I still would like an Elite Hideo Itami and Elite Tyler Breeze seems to have to happen one day I'd assume. |
