Kane had a great start. Didn't compete for the title for about 6-7 months but he was booked strong as hell and he actually was the first man to take the title off of Austin. Damn straight.

I don't know if these count because the title wasn't involved but they are some pretty impressive initial pushes: Jericho debuted and was thrown straight into a feud with the Rock. Big Show debuted and was made part of the ongoing McMahon/Austin feud. Kevin Owens debuted in a feud with John Cena and even got a clean win over him. Not a feud with The Rock. he just debuted with that segment and the next month he was doing the same with Road Dogg at SS 99. Took him a few months to get the IC title, but a few years for his first world title run.

Kane's push was very impressive.. They don't make 'em like that anymore.

^^^ only difference with Luger was he never won the WWF title after his gargantuan push. Oh, and everyone else actually had talent. I don't see why that matters to the topic at hand? AJ hasn't won the title (yet) and this was about how quick they'd main evented a PPV, unless I'm misunderstanding. Also, Lex was awesome.

I don't know if this is a push or just someone getting fed to Reigns.... I'm going with the latter. In most recent memory Sheamus moved up the card very quickly from feuding with William Regal and Gold us in WWECW to beating Cena for the WWE title.

You seem to have a disdain for Kevin Owens, like Lex Luger and think WrestleMania 9 is underrated. Anvil Fan...is that you?

Oh, and everyone else actually had talent. Sir, please refrain from taking Lex Luger's name in vain.

Flair comes to mind. He was immediately in the main event scene.
Razor Ramon was similar too. He debuted and was put into the main event right away and World title matches.
I can't speak for newer guys that may have been given World title shots right away.

1) He's legitimately a world-class, tentured main-event level wrestler 2) 2/3rds the main event title contention roster is out injured 3) He's a new acquisition and it's smart to build his "WWE brand" with lots of coverage for merch sales

Lesnar's first run was probably the biggest initial push of all time.in one year, he won the KOTR, the world title at Summerslam, won the Rumble, & won the title again in the main event of his first Wrestlemania.
I think Angle'first year puts him just behind Lesnar.
