Sometimes they try and tell me I have to pay for shipping costs (even though item isn't being shipped) because Amazon prices only count if you spent 35 and up I tell them to that that, turn it sideways, and stick it straight up [bleeped out because my warning bar already is 100% and I like this place] If they tell you you have to spent $35 to get the deal just fight it until they get tired, works every time
Wait, what? That's only if the item is listed as an add-on item, otherwise, whatever the price is...that's what you pay.
I feel like the people working at your TRU don't know how the internet works.
To the OP, I've price matched Amazon at TRU several times, and have never had an issue.
I tried to match Mizdow 2 days ago and they tried adding shipping so I didn't buy it. They said they recently changed their policy (which I didn't know and the girl working there didn't know until another co-worker had to stuck his nose in it). I pulled the policy up and it does state that so some people might get away with it still of the employees don't know the new policy, which is likely: "Competitor shipping charges will be calculated and factored in the cost of online prices." |

Ive done it at the register a few times with no problem at all. The cashier just asks to bring it up on my phone.

I got dm taker for 9.80 when amazon had him cheap, plus got my gf to use her employee discount too. You dont catch any crap when youre dating the assistant manager

I was actually only referring to him stating that you have to spend a certain amount to get an item for a certain price, which is the way Amazon does add-on items for a deep discount...but this new TRU policy is total bullshit. I'll bet you if enough of us bitch to corporate...and I mean inundate them...we can get that repealed. Why the  would I pay a shipping charge when it's not being shipped? We can take a stand and get that crap dropped. If I have to pay shipping, I'll buy it through Amazon, and watch as TRU loses the sale. Besides, if you're a Prime member, you don't pay shipping anyway, so how the hell do they think that crapwill fly. ing rip off ass Toys R Us. Christ I hate that ing store. Always out to find a way to screw their customers. It took them FOR INGEVER to adopt a price match policy, and now they're trying to find ways to undercut it. |

Hard to believe I saw people buying that same Adam Rose figure at this year's Axxess for $25+ tax. I couldn't believe it in my right mind! I wanted to get the new DM Sting, but not for $40+! I can wait.

I went to TRU when Kmart had the Stackdown hauler for $15 but none in store. They said they couldnt match because it wasnt in stock in store. I said THATS WHY IM PRICE MATCHING HERE! Derp.
So I let them put it back and had kmart.com do free in store pick up. The one time KMART was easier to deal with than TRU...
And the prime crap is stupid. I have a prime membership, need my credentials? I just order it if they give me hassle. Its more money these stubborn brick an mortars are losing.

Unless your a prime member shipping is of course a part of the purchase They don't take Prime Membership or Amazon's spend $49 and get free shipping into consideration although YMMV. They charge you the shipping charge. Personally, I don't care if they charge shipping when you try to PM. I cared more about the two employees taking forever while they talked about it/did things on their pc. Finally after 10 mins, I asked if they were going to charge shipping since I heard them talking about it and they said they weren't sure and we're going to have the manager come over. He finally comes and spends another 5 mins or so fumbling around on Amazon before I ask him if they are going to charge shipping (he ignores me while the girl says he is checking on it). Finally, after another 5 mins, he says that they have to charge shipping. So I wasted over 20 mins because the workers don't know their new policy. They should have told me upfront so I didn't waste my time. I think what took so long is that they couldn't figure out how much the shipping on Amazon was to add to it, lol |

I price matched the DM Stone Cold at TRU but from Kmart and had no problem. They just wouldn't give me the buy one get on 40%off deal...
