Wow, that is a lot of variations for a simple box set.

I've seen a few with Shawn in red tights and blue. Bret in series 1 outfit Black top pink bottoms but also the pink top black bottoms. Goldust with Vader arms and with full finger gloved arms. Warrior is always in green. Are all these different versions exclusive to certain stores or regions (referring mostly to the Bret and Shawn outfit variants). Thanks for the help. I'm not sure, but I suspect this to be the case. Here's everything that I know about variations to this original Jakks boxed set: This has probably already been answered, but I recently picked up the TRU 4-Pack exclusive Ultimate Warrior. The only green BCA Warrior made i believe loose but mint condition. Anyone know anything about it's worth? Yes, it varies in price, but I think an acceptable amount for one in loose mint condition is $10-12. Speaking of that Survivor Series 4-pack, I just happen to be looking through an old issue of Lee's Toy Review and look what I spot: I guess this pretty much confirms that there were in fact variations to this original Jakks WWF boxed set. This was previously discussed in the thread, so here's a recap for those that might have missed it: There was a Pink torso Bret released in Survivor Series?? Oddly enough, I posted this one year ago today: Not sure if I overpaid or not but I just won Series 1, MOC for $50 plus shipping. One of my favorite series of the entire run. Nothing wrong with that price. Series 1 is the premier BCA assortment and a complete MOC set will always be in demand. Speaking of Series 1 (and Series 2 for that matter), check out these variant Survivor Series sets that recently showed up on eBay: Superstars Series 2 Bret Hart included (along with Frankendust)Superstars Series 2 Shawn Michaels included (along with Glenn Quagmire Bret Hart)The most common Survivor Series set features both Series 1 HBK and Bret Hart together, as shown below. I knew that these variants (the Superstars Series 2 repaints) existed before, but this may be the first time I've ever seen them listed. Just thought I'd share that little e-finding. Here's another picture of a listing with Series 2 HBK: I don't really know what to make of it, but here's what I said to ellisd recently when we were discussing it: So I just saw on ebay, someone selling the BCA Survivor Series 4 pack with the exclusive green attire Warrior. The one they have listed comes with the series 2 red tights Shawn, but mine and all others I've seen have the original BCA Shawn in it. Any idea if this is real or not? I don't know much about it, but I do believe it is a legitimate variation. And it doesn't just involve Shawn. In the past year alone, I've seen: Series 1 Shawn with Series 2 Bret Series 2 Shawn with Series 1 Bret Series 2 Shawn with Series 2 Bret The most common pairing you'll find is Series 1 Shawn with Series 1 Bret. Why are there so many variations? I couldn't say for sure. I would like to think that it had something to do with a carry-over of Series 1 and Series 2 shipments to Toys"R"Us stores in the fall of '96. The reason I say that is because the Survivor Series 4-pack that I own includes a variation of Goldust with Series 2 Vader arms. That couldn't have happened unless Series 2 was already in stores, so maybe the odd HBK/Bret pairings came about because of the availability of Series 2 figures at roughly the same time. I don't believe I have a picture saved of the variation with both Series 2 figures, but I could've sworn I saw it at some point. It seems plausible to me since Superstars Series 2 and the Survivor Series 4-packs were receiving shipments at roughly the same time (October/November '96). Was there a limited edition run of the sets featuring Series 2 figures sent to Toys"R"Us stores? Could a few have slipped through the cracks unintentionally or before a change was made? Is it possible that there are/were multiple switcheroos that exist in different cities for no apparent reason? It is puzzling to say the least. What do you think? Both Survivor Series sets I've had, one of which I bought in stores when it was released, has the Series 1 grouping with no variations. I guess I should trust this if there are enough cases to support the variations on the box set. Maybe we should ask the sellers posting them if the tape is still sealed? I remember during the days of the BCA Revival (2001?) with the new molds, they set up a "clearance" tent outside of the TRU Store. Inside the tent were countless Jacquelines, Dr Death, and Toy Biz Scott Halls. As fun as a huge clearance tent was, I would use my time machine to travel back to get my first couple BCA figures again. I picked up Series 2 Bret Hart and Undertaker at TRU sometime in 1997, with the Survivor Series box set to follow. If I could I would have picked up the whole set! I would have also used a time machine to stop my brother from throwing my green Ultimate Warrior against the wall, breaking its leg off Yeah, I do wish I would have asked a few of those sellers about the condition of the boxes, but from what I remember the photos all looked legitimate to me. I mean, it's not like the Series 1 Bret/HBK figures were that much more desirable than their Series 2 repaints. Why would someone feel the need to swap those out and replace them with nearly identical versions? It doesn't make sense, and that's before you consider that these all belonged to sellers in different cities across the U.S. Another reason why I think variants might exist is because the back card of the Razor Ramon and Diesel 2-pack gives us a preview of what it might look like: Did Jakks know something that the rest of us didn't about there being multiple versions of the Survivor Series 4-pack? Here's another one to add to the list, courtesy of eBay seller massavemedia. This one sold for a little over $30 and it included Series 2 HBK, Series 1 Bret, Series 1 Goldust with one glove (!) and the aforementioned Series 2 Warrior repaint.

WOW! Thank you for that info. I'm surprised i couldn't find it when i googled it before. Probably because it's stuffed away in the 223-page thread right beneath this post. To add to that, I've never known Ultimate Warrior to have a variation in this set. Goldust, on the other hand, appears to have been the proverbial guinea pig for Jakks when they were assembling the Survivor Series 4-pack. I don't know a number, but I'm sure there are at least a half dozen different versions of his figure.

So how many different combinations are there? 8?
1. Red HBK, Black top Bret, elbow pads Goldust 2. Red HBK, Black top bret, No pads goldust (Shown above) 3. Red HBK, Pink top Bret, elbow pads Goldust 4. Red HBK, Pink top bret, No pads Goldust
5. Blue HBK, Black top Bret, elbow pads Goldust (Shown Above) 6. Blue HBK, Black top bret, No pads goldust 7. Blue HBK, Pink top Bret, elbow pads Goldust (Shown Above) 8. Blue HBK, Pink top bret, No pads Goldust
9. Red HBK, black top bret, Goldust missing a glove (Maybe an error set) 10. Red HBK, Black top bret with 1 pink elbow pad, no elbow pads goldust (Also maybe an error)
Seems like they had 2 versions of HBK/Bret/Goldust and as a way to get rid of old stock just put them in at random (Then shipped those picks to certain areas) and in doing so the quality control laid the way for so many variations

In fact, I think they are both left arms of Series 1 Razor Ramon. Shawn Michaels is either from Series 1 (Blue) or Series 2 (Red). Series 1 look is most common for him. Bret Hart is either from Series 1 (Black Top) or Series 2 (Pink Top). Series 1 look is most common for him, too. Goldust is a bit trickier lol. I've seen him with all of his original Series 1 parts, then there are those with Razor/Vader arms and Razor/Vader/Diesel legs. His original parts from Series 1 are the most commonly used. Razor and Vader's arms appear quite a bit, as well as Razor's legs. I'll try and see if I can scrounge up enough examples for proof, although the photos above are a great starting point.

I don't think there are too many active BCA customizers on the boards anymore. These five members have contributed some great customs over the past few years, so you might want to seek them out. In no particular order: ellisdBCA_Bawstud@tbain81 zappa2510@jp888481 Edit: By the way, I love the new pickups! Yoko and Lawler are two excellent additions to your collection.

Wow i just tallied up what I've bought in the last week and a half. 275 loose figures (and accessories), one ring & 38 MOC figures. Mama Mia! Three hundred plus figures. Whats cool is in all those figures includes a lot of Jakks Bone Crunchers I've always wanted but never could afford. Considering all moc and loose figures it works out to about $1.22 shipped per figure. Now that's a good week of figure shopping!

Stated a fun crafty display. No sewing involved. I use stretchy rope, wooden dowels 1x8 pine and fabric. I cut and pre-drill holes on the dowels. Sand and paint. I mostly wanted these for ensuring that figures wont take a 6-8 foot fall, but it looks pretty nice, no? For the canvas and apron look i simply overlay and staple on the underside of the pine for the canvas and fold over and crease at both ends the fabric for the aprons and staple in a few places on the face of the board. The corner posts were fun as i would drill 1/2 way into the dowel and do the same 90 degrees to create a 90 degree bend. I'm maing the bottom shelf into a black post, red rope attitude era kinda shelf. Still a idea in progress.
