So RVD showed up in 2010 and got a massive push, lost the belt in a wrestlecrap segment, and had a few more feuds in TNA before leaving.
What is the general consensus on his TNA run? Any matches that you guys recommend seeing, as i wasn't watching TNA regularly at the time?
I did notice he was quite slower, which was disappointing, but at that age it was quite understandable not to have the same hops.
Thoughts?

Well, he debuted and beat Sting in like 8 seconds, won the World Title a month later, and then was murdered by Abyss to vacate the title a few months after. I remember nothing after this, despite him being around for another 2 1/2 years.
I'd say good, just because of the RDV shirt.

Apart from his matches with Jerry Lynn despite them not coming close to their ECW series I couldn't tell you a memorable match he had and I was a TNA fanatic at the time.

He came in as THE guy. It seemed like they wanted to make RVD the face of TNA, when AJ Styles had already been that for quite some time. The RVD/Styles match on Impact where RVD won the TNA Title was a pretty good match. The way he lost it was crap. From what I remember, his contract was expiring so instead of him just dropping the World Title, they had him get destroyed by Abyss. Amazing after taking a barbed wire bat with nails in it, and being covered in blood, he came back with no scars whatsoever on him!
He ended up winning the X-Division Title from Kenny King I believe, and then I really don't know what he did with that. I know he held it for a few months, then lost it and pretty much left TNA soon after.
That's the one thing that bothered me at times, where former WWE talent would come to TNA, work a lighter schedule, take the money and give nothing back to TNA, then go back to the WWE and crap on TNA. Booker T did it, D-Von Dudley did it, RVD did it, Kevin Nash did it, even Christian did it. Yet, when Christian was in TNA, he at least put his heart into that company. But it just seems like the only former WWE talent that really believed in TNA was Kurt Angle.

I'd say it was good. Rob Van Dam is one of my favorites, so I may be biased.
His recent WWE run was booty, though.

Ehhh... mediocre. The most memorable part of the whole thing for me was him being ing murdered by Abyss.

It was piss poor, but comparatively, it was much better than his recent runs in WWE.

i was really disappointed overall with the run. he was clearly phoning it in and the typical fumble by tna of his character was inevitable. he admits he just doesn't really give a any more in his most recent kc shoot. disappointing as . but, he was older. if i want prime rvd i'll go back and watch some hardcore tv 1997.

Started out as the hottest thing happening when he first debuted. I remember how amazed I was that he actually made it to TNA. I thought him winning the TNA title was a good thing (not as quick as he did) but it turned out to be a disaster. He had a good match with AJ at TNA Sacrifice 2010 and then I felt like it was definitely downhill.
2010 TNA had the potential to be one of my favorite times.......but TNA dropped the ball in many ways. RVD was another who they just screwed up IMO.

It was incredible to begin with. His tag team with Jeff? Awesome. His TNA tilte Run? Pretty awesome too. Matches with Rhyno, Jerry Lynn, Jeff, Anderson, Joe, Abyss, Matt Hardy. All good stuff.

I really dug RVD in TNA for the first year or so.Wasn't the biggest fan of him kind of becoming the face of TNA over Styles and Hardy but I understood it from Hogan/Bischoff stand point.I really thought that in 2011 and part of 2011 that RVD while not as good as his 90's and early 00's self was putting in the effort and have pretty good matches but after that first year or year in a half he just started to phone it in his last year or so in TNA and it was painful to watch.
Still don't understand why they did the injury angle to get the title off RVD and for that matter never gave him another World Title reign once he resigned.

I think RVD realized quickly he didn't want to be there. Cause he phoned it in a lot during that run.
