The camera pans over the screaming fans that have packed out the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, NY for All Star Wrestling’s first ever PPV - SummerSlam, as Gorilla Monsoon welcomes us to the show and thanks everybody for joining us. Monsoon hypes some of the matches that we have going down tonight, and also reminds us that ASW will be jetting off for their four-week tour of Japan tomorrow. Monsoon sends it up to the ring with Howard Finkel, who introduces the first match. ASW UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH - SID JUSTICE vs THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR (C)The Four Horsemen’s music hits, and out comes Sid Justice, along with Bobby Heenan, to a chorus of boos. The lively Brooklyn crowd catches Sid’s attention, and he stops to shout “SHUT UP!” at the fans. Heenan tries to calm him down, and they both enter the ring, where Heenan proudly presents Sid to the hostile crowd. The boos soon turn to cheers as the music of the United States champion, the Ultimate Warrior hits. Warrior is full of his usual intensity as he runs down to the ring and around all four sides, before posing on the top rope. Sid does not remove his gaze from his rival at any point, as Warrior removes the belt and hands it over to the Referee. The Ref holds up the belt, before handing it to the Timekeeper at ringside. He calls for the bell and we’re underway. The two men lock-up, and Sid quickly transitions in to a side headlock. Sid begins applying extra pressure, but Warrior fights back with a series of elbow shots to the ribs, forcing Sid to back off. Warrior goes for a clothesline, but Sid ducks. Warrior turns, and Sid blasts him with a stiff kick to the solar plexes, and follows up with a bodyslam. Sid taunts the crowd to a chorus of boos as Heenan applauds him. Sid pulls Warrior up for a vertical suplex, but Warrior blocks it twice in succession with his knee, before he quickly drives Sid in to the corner. Sid fights back by hitting Warrior with a series of punches which leave the champion unfazed as he hits a stiff shoulder-block on the challenger. Warrior sends Sid across the ring with an Irish Whip, followed by a splash in the corner, causing Sid to fall to the canvas. Heenan begins hammering the apron, pleading with Sid to get back to his feet. The cheers are deafening as Warrior points to the sky, before pulling Sid up and hoisting him in to the air. Warrior walks around, showing of his impressive strength, before dropping Sid back on to the mat. Warrior goes for the splash, but Heenan darts around the ring and grabs his foot. The distraction proves successful, as Warrior exits the ring and gives chase after Heenan. Warrior grabs Heenan by the lapel of his jacket, and raises his fist. Heenan begs for mercy as the crowd begs Warrior to floor “The Brain”. Unseen by the champion, Sid rolls out of the ring and blasts him from behind with an axe handle. Sid follows this up by spinning Warrior around and smacking his head off of the ring post. Sid half-rolls back in to the ring to break the count, then hoists Warrior up, givng him a spinbuster on the ring steps. Sid pulls Warrior up again, and tosses him back in to the ring. Sid calmly walks up the steps and enters the ring, once again with his gaze fixed on the champion. Sid pulls Warrior up, and lays him out with a Jacknife Powerbomb. He hooks the leg, but Warrior gets the shoulder up just before 3. Sid can’t believe it, and pleads with the Ref, who reaffirms his decision. Sid, furious, pulls Warrior up for another Jacknife, but Warrior shifts his weight, causing Sid to lose his balance, and both men to crash to the canvas. The fans chant Warrior’s name, as both men struggle to get back to their feet. Sid goes for a running big boot, but Warrior pulls down the top rope, causing the challenger to fall to the floor. Warrior slides out after him, hoists him up, and slams him on to the floor. He rolls Sid back in to the ring, before scrambling in after, and quickly executing the splash. He hooks the challenger’s leg, but Heenan again interferes, pulling Warrior, with whatever might he can muster, out of the ring. Warrior, enraged, chases Heenan around the ring, as the Ref checks on Sid in the ring. Warrior catches up to Heenan, who clobbers him on the head with the ring bell. Warrior staggers back towards the ring, and Heenan clobbers him on the back of the head. Sid, seeing his opening, pulls Warrior underneath the bottom rope, and quickly executes another Jacknife. He hooks the leg, and scores the 3 count. Sid Justice defeats The Ultimate Warrior by pinfall to become the NEW United States champion! We go to replays as Monsoon goes over the traversty that we just witnessed. We cut back to the ring, where Heenan presents Sid with the title, who hold it aloft to a chorus of boos, as we fade away to the backstage area, where Gene Okerlund is stood by with The Big Boss Man. Okerlund recaps the feud between the Boss Man and Papa Shango. Okerlund asks Boss Man what happened during the week that Shango abducted him. Boss Man said it’s a blur - which is exactly what tonight will be for Shango. Boss Man says tonight isn’t about winning or losing, it’s about ending Papa Shango’s existence. Boss Man walks off and Okerlund sends it back down to the ring. THE BIG BOSS MAN vs PAPA SHANGOThe lights dim as the eerie entrance music of Papa Shango blares out through the Barclays Center. The mysterious Voodoo priest begins walking down to the ring, but is quickly interrupted by The Big Boss Man, who comes rushing out of the backstage area for an ambush. Shango is knocked to the floor, and Boss Man hits him repeatedly with his nightstick. The Referee runs over and tries to stop the beatdown, but Boss Man merely knocks him to the floor. He turns back to Shango, pulls him up, and Irish Whips him straight in to the ring steps. Boss Man looks around wildly for a moment, as Monsoon remarks “He’s like a man posessed!”. He pulls back the protective floor coverings - exposing the cold, unforgiving concrete underneath. Shango manages to stagger back to his feet, and Boss Man promptly lifts him up and piledrives him on the concrete. The Ref again tries to intervene, and Boss Man seems to listen as he launches Shango in to the ring. The Ref calls for the bell, and we’re officially underway with this one. Boss Man pulls Shango up and bodyslams him. Shango lies limp, as Boss Man climbs to the top rope. A strange cackling sound breaks out through the arena, and the lights go out. When they come back on, the two men have swapped places. Shango begins muttering to himself as his eyes roll back in his head, before he leaps off the top rope, nailoing Boss Man with a flying headbutt. He hooks the leg, but Boss Man kicks out at 2. Shango slowly gets to his feet and re-enters his trance, and begins shaking and muttering to himself. As he does this, Boss Man slowly comes around and struggles to his feet. He watches Shango for a few moments, then blasts him with a big right hand. Shango continues shaking and muttering as if nothing happened, and Boss Man hits him again. Boss Man swings his arm around, gearing up for a knockout blow, but suddenly stops and falls to his knees, clutching his stomach. Shango dances around him, before Boss Man begins coughing up what appears to be black vomit. Boss Man soon passes out, and Shango comes out of his trance. Shango pulls Boss Man up, and hits a Pump Handle Slam. He hooks the leg, but somehow, Boss Man gets the shoulder up just before 3, leading to an explosion of cheers from the Brooklyn crowd. Shango tries to re-enter his trance again, but is unable to do it. Shango turns vicious, and begins stomping away on Boss Man until the Ref pulls him off. Shango and the Ref exchange words, which gives the Boss Man time to regroup. Boss Man takes Shango down with a spear, then pulls him up for a pump handle slam. The whole ring shakes from the force of the slam, before Boss Man hooks the leg for the 3 count. The Big Boss Man defeats Papa Shango by pinfall! Boss Man asks for a microphone, and his music cuts off. “I think we’re all sick and tired of this Voodoo crap!” he says, and the crowd cheer in response. “Which is why…I’m going to take out the trash!” Boss Man throws the microphone down, exits the ring and pulls Shango’s limp form out of the ring. He hoists Shango on to his shoulders, and walks purposefully up the ramp and through the curtain. “What’s going on?!” cries out Gorilla Monsoon, but the camera quickly cuts backstage, and we see Boss Man carry Shango out to the parking lot. “Back her up, boys!” he calls out, and the camera pans to see a garbage truck backing up towards him. Boss Man walks over and dumps Shango straight in to the back of it. Boss Man bangs his fist on the back of the truck, and it begins to drive off. Boss Man does a mock wave, as the camera pans to see the truck driving out of the arena. We fade to black. Another promo airs hyping the debut of “Ravishing” Rick Rude. We see a video clip of both Andre the Giant and Randy Savage arriving at the Barclay’s Center earlier today as Monsoon hypes the Steel Cage match that’s still to come tonight. Monsoon sends it backstage to Jim Ross, who is stood by with the #1 contender’s for ASW Tag Team championship - Demolition. Ross tries to interview Demolition, but fails to get any sense out of them, before they walk away. A confused Ross send us to Okerlund, who is stood by with the champions - Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard. With them, obviously very happy over his involvement in the opening match, Bobby Heenan. Heenan says everything is coming together now. “Sid’s the U.S. champ, Arn and Tully are the Tag champs, and later tonight, Ric will be one step closer to being the ASW champ. The Horsemen can not be stopped!” Anderson & Blanchard nod their agreement, as Heenan continues: “Ever since Demolition first set foot in ASW, all I’ve heard is people saying it’s just a matter of time until they win the straps. Well, all of those people are about to be extremely disappointed!” Heenan walks off and the champions follow him. ASW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH - DEMOLITION vs ARN ANDERSON & TULLY BLANCHARD (C)Demolition’s music blasts through the arena, and the rowdy crowd sing along as the challengers march down to the ring. It’s obvious from the get-go that the fans are going to be biased in this one. The Four Horsemen’s music plays, and here come the champions. With introductions out of the way, the Referee holds the two belts aloft, and hands them over to the timekeeper. The Ref calls Howard Finkel over and says something to him. Finkel nods, then: “Ladies and Gentlemen, may I have your attention please. The Referee has just informed me that, due to his conduct earlier this evening, Bobby Heenan will, as of this moment, be BANNED FROM RINGSIDE!” Heenan, Anderson and Blanchard lose it and argue with the Ref. The Ref stands his ground and gets in Heenan’s face before pointing firmly towards the curtain. “OUT!” he shouts. “You’re making a big mistake, pal!” Heenan says, as he exits the ring and walks off up the ramp. The crowd sing “Na Na Na Na” as he goes. The Ref calls for the bell, and it looks like Smash is starting things off with Anderson. They lock-up, and Smash forces Anderson off of his feet with very little effort. Anderson looks shocked for a minute, then gets up in to another lock-up. Again, Smash forces him off of his feet. Anderson, clearly annoyed, gets up and begins shouting at Smash. When Smash doesn’t respond, Anderson slaps him. Smash turns away and briefly touches his face, before turning around and hitting Anderson in the solar plexes with a very stiff kick. He brings Anderson over with an arm drag, then applies a sleeper hold. Anderson struggles to fight the hold, but eventually struggles back to his feet and grabs the top rope. Smash tags Ax, who, ironically, attacks Anderson from behind with a double Axe Handle. Anderson staggers, and Ax hooks him with a bodyslam. He goes for the cover, but Anderson kicks out at 2. Blanchard tries to get involved, but the Ref maintains control. It soon becomes apparent that this was a distraction, as Anderson hits Ax with a lowblow whilst the Ref’s back is turned. Anderson hooks Ax into a small package, but the larger man powers out at 2. Both men begin crawling to their respective corners, and tag their partners almost simultaneously. Blanchard and Smash take a run at each other, and Smash ducks a clothesline attempt. Blanchard turns around into a hip toss by Smash, immediately followed by a cover, but again it’s only a 2 count. The fans are quieting down now and are seeming to lose interest in this one fast. Smash has Blanchard up again, and sets him up for a vertical suplex, which he counters with one of his own. Blanchard tags Anderson back in, before grabbing Smash’s arms and holding them back. Anderson stomps away on Smash, before the Ref intervenes and orders Blanchard out. Anderson taunts Smash to get back up. Smash struggles to his feet and turns - right into a big impact spinebuster from Anderson. He hooks the leg, but Ax is in to break up the count at 2. The crowd is practically silent now. Blanchard comes in, and takes both himself and Ax over the top rope with a clothesline, and they brawl on the outside. Ax fights Blanchard over to the announce table. Blanchard kicks Ax in the solar plexes, and grabs a spare chair that’s nearby, and cracks Ax over the skull with it. Unfortunately for Blanchard, the Ref saw and calls for the bell. Demolition defeat Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard by disqualification, Anderson & Blanchard retain the ASW Tag Team championship! Despite the match being over, the fight is not. Smash and Anderson are on the outside as well now, and the two teams are really slugging it out. More Referees spill out of the backstage area, and eventually the situation is calmed down. Monsoon remarks that the Horsemen are making a lot of enemies in ASW, as the two teams are escorted backstage. The crowd seems a bit more lively after the finish, but so far, this has been the weakest match of the night. Monsoon quickly moves on to our next match - Diamond Dallas Page vs Diesel. We get a video package highlighting DDP winning the mystery title shot in the Hardcore Invitational a few weeks ago, as well as the confrontation with Diesel last week in which he stole the briefcase. When the package ends, Diesel is stood backstage laughing, as Gene Okerlund looks at him in disgust. Okerlund reminds him that while he may have the briefcase, the title shot inside still belongs to DDP. Diesel chuckles and tells Okerlund that as long as he has the case, DDP can’t have his title shot. Diesel says he’s going to give DDP a beating tonight, and the only way he’ll stop is if DDP begs him and surrenders the title shot to him. Okerlund tells Diesel that he’s out of his mind, but Diesel just laughs again and walks off. Okerlund is about to continue when Diesel returns and picks up the briefcase. He pats it, smiles at the camera and says “Can’t forget this!”, then laughs and walks away again. Okerlund stands there shaking his head in disgust as we fade back to the ring. DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE vs DIESELDDP’S music blares out through the Barclays Center, and the crowd erupts in cheers. Page walks through the curtain, and the ovation gets even louder. Biggest pop of the night so far. Page walks down to the ring, still sporting taped up ribs - and after Diesel’s attack last week - a taped up left shoulder too. Despite this, Page is still in high spirits as he waits for his rival. The cheers soon turn to boos as Diesel’s music hits, and he begins a slow, cocky walk down to the ring. He holds up the briefcase, and the crowd boos even louder. He makes a crybaby motion at them, laughs, and continues to the ring. He steps in to the ring, and Page goes right after him. The Ref calls for the bell, and here we go. Page hammers Diesel with punches in the corner, then tries to Irish Whip him, but Diesel counters with a short arm clothesline. Diesel pulls Page up and begins driving his knees repeatedly into his injured ribs, before dropping him with a DDT. He hooks the leg, wanting to end this early, but Page gets his injured left shoulder up at 2. Diesel grabs Page around the neck and repeatedly bounces the back of his head off of the canvas. He covers him again, but Page kicks out at 2. Diesel shakes his head, and drags Page back to his feet. He wrenches the left arm, and Page cries out in agony as “Big Daddy Cool” works over his injured shoulder. Page reaches out for the top rope and makes it, forcing a break. After a stern warning from the Ref, Diesel comes back and is caught with a stiff kick to the solar plexes from Page. Seeing this as his opening, Page drives Diesel face-first into the canvas with a bulldog. He calls for the Diamond Cutter, and the fans erupt in cheers. Diesel uses the ropes to pull himself back up, and Page hooks him for the Diamond Cutter, which the larger man is able to counter by hooking Page under the legs and dumping him over the top rope to the floor. Diesel tries to regroup as Page writhes in pain on the outside. Diesel steps over the top rope and drops to the floor, grabs Page and hoists him up like a lawn dart. He turns, and drives Page’s injured shoulder into the ring post, before dropping him back on the apron. He takes a step back, then forward, dropping an elbow across Page’s throat. Page rolls back to the centre of the ring, as Diesel calmly steps back over the top rope. Diesel holds his arm up in the air, signalling for the end, then hoists Page up for a Jacknife. Page, desperate to stay alive in this one, begins hammering Diesel with rights and lefts, causing the big man to lose his balance and stumble back in to the corner. Page slips down to stand on the second rope and begins hitting Diesel with a series of big right hands as the crowd counts along. Page steps down from the ropes, and a dazed Diesel stumbles forward. Page spins him around, and drops him with the Diamond Cutter as the Barclays Center erupts in a roar of cheers. He hooks the leg, but Diesel somehow gets his shoulder up just before 3. Page briefly converses with the Ref about the count, but quickly shakes it off and focuses back on his opponent. Page again calls for the Diamond Cutter, but Diesel counters again, this time with a form of backbreaker. Diesel kneels, resting his arms on the second rope, before pulling himself back up. He pulls Page up, and this time, he successfully connects with the Jacknife. He motions that Page is done, and covers him. The crowd erupts into astonished cheers as Page gets his shoulder up before 3, and Diesle’s expression is priceless. Diesel stands and gets into it with the Ref, shoving him. The Ref shoves him right back, and Diesel raises a fist, but thinks better of it. He tells the Ref to watch himself, then turns…right into a Diamond Cutter! No idea where Page came from, but the crowd loves it. He covers Diesel and gets the 3 count. Diamond Dallas Page defeats Diesel by pinfall! The Ref raises Page’s arm in victory, and Page exits the ring and retrieves his briefcase. He turns…right in time to be cracked over the head with a steel chair. Initially, we can’t see who it is, but the camera pans and we see it’s Razor Ramon. Ramon takes in the boos with a cocky smile, then brings the chair down hard on Page’s spine. Ramon tosses the chair aside and pulls Page up for the Razor’s Edge, which he delivers on the floor. Page lies motionless, and Ramon picks up the briefcase. He rolls into the ring, and helps Diesel back to his feet, and hands him the briefcase. Looks like these two have an alliance of some sort going on. The crowd boo as Ramon helps Diesel to the back, as EMT’s rush down to the ring to check on Page. We see Randy Savage backstage, with Miss Elizabeth, taping up his fists. The ASW champion certainly looks ready for the main event. The camera fades into another shot elsewhere in the arena, where we see Andre the Giant also preparing for their match. We return to the ringside area, and it’s time for the first of our double main event. This match could be a huge turning point in Bret Hart’s singles career, whether he wins or not. With title implications at stake, everyone’s on the edge of their seat for this. #1 CONTENDER'S MATCH - RIC FLAIR vs BRET HARTBret Hart is out first to a huge ovation, he looks ready for what might be the biggest match of his career so far. Ric Flair comes out to a mixed reaction, and parts ways with Bobby Heenan at the curtain, as he’s still banned from ringside after what happened earlier tonight. Howard Finkel does the formal ring introductions, and the bell rings. The crowd are wild here. Hart and Flair stand nose-to-nose and it appears that Flair is trash-talking “The Hitman”. Hart smiles at Flair, and this angers “The Nature Boy” who slaps the taste right out of Hart’s mouth in response. Flair grabs Hart from behind and tries to bounce his head off of the top turnbuckle, but Hart is able to block, and catches Flair on the jaw with his elbow. Flair staggers away, and Hart catches him with a stiff kick, followed by a vertical suplex. Hart immediately follows up with a sleeper hold, but Flair is able to shift his weight and bring Hart over. Flair applies a sleeper of his own, but Hart is close enough to the ropes to force a break. Flair backs off momentarily, then kicks Hart in the spine. The Ref gives him a warning, but Flair shoves him away. He pulls Hart up and locks in an abdominal stretch, and keeps wrenching, trying to wear down Hart’s resistance. Hart begins shifting his weight, and eventutally brings Flair over into a seated position. He positions Flair’s arms behind his own back, then drives his knee into the small of Flair’s spine, before turning it into a variation of a chinlock. Flair struggles in the hold for a couple of minutes, but is evetually able to break Hart’s grip. Flair uses the ropes to pull himself up, turns, and Hart attempts to Irish Whip him across the ring, but Flair counters with one of his own, and catches Hart with a high knee off the return. Flair comes off of the ropes and drops another knee on Hart, then hooks the leg for a 2 count. Flair, angry that Hart kicked out, comes off of the ropes again and drops another knee…right on the canvas as Hart rolls out of the way. Flair rolls around clutching his knee, as Hart gets back to his feet. Hart grabs Flair’s legs, and although “The Nature Boy” fights it, Hart is able to lock in the sharpshooter. The fans erupt as Flair flails around in the middle of the ring, trying to crawl his way to the ropes, and he does. Hart, however, immediately drags Flair back to the centre of the ring. Not a single person in the Barclay’s Center is sitting now as they cheer for Hart. Flair’s flailing lessens, and his hand hovers above the canvas, as he debates whether or not to tap. Flair begins trying to shift his weight again as Hart’s grip begins to come apart. Eventually Flair is able to kick Hart away, breaking the hold. Flair lies unmoving on his back, whilst Hart lays face down on the mat. Both men are exhausted. The crowd begin clapping in unison, willing Hart to get back to his feet. He does, and immediately pulls Flair up onto his shoulders. Flair, realising that he’s in trouble, begins driving his elbow repeatedly into Hart’s jaw. This pays off, as Flair is able to land back on his feet. He pushes Hart away…right into the Ref, who goes down. Flair falls back into the corner, and, realising what’s happened, begins motioning at the curtain. Out comes Heenan, Sid Justice, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard to a chorus of boos. They enter the ring, and surround Hart. Hart gets back to his feet and attempts to fight the Horsemen off, but the numbers game is too much, and they begin beating him down. “Is there nobody back there to stop this?!” cries out Gorilla Monsoon in a mixture of disgust and despair, when…’Real American’ blares out through the arena, and the crowd erupts. “No, it can’t be! It just can’t be!” Monsoon says in shock, but sure enough, out comes Hulk Hogan, and the ovation is deafening. Flair quickly rallies the Horsemen as Hogan charges the ring and begins clearing house. Hart soon joins him, and Justice, Anderson and Blanchard flee to the back as Hogan chases them off. “I don’t believe what I’m seeing! The Hulkster has come to ASW!” Monsoon cries out in disbelief. Back in the ring, Flair has lost it over Hogan’s interference. He turns…right into Hart, who is waiting for him. Flair begs off, but Hart shows no mercy to the “The Nature Boy” as he unloads with a series of rights and lefts, driving Flair back in to the corner. Hart nails Flair with a shoulder block, then sits him on the top rope, before climbing up there himself. The crowd roar their appreciation as Hart brings Flair down to the canvas with a superplex. The Ref begins to come around just in time, as Hart applies the Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring. Flair flails for only a few seconds before tapping out. Bret Hart defeats Ric Flair by submission to become the #1 Contender for the ASW championship! Hart immediately rolls out of the ring, and hugs his mother, Helen, who is sat at ringside. His father, Stu, pulls his son into a one armed hug. Hart returns to the ring and continues to celebrate, before making a title motion around his waist. “Could that man be walking away with the ASW championship next month in Ryūgusaki, Japan?” Monsoon says, confirming when Hart will receive his title shot. Hart continues to celebrate as he walks to the back. We cut away to a promo for joint ASW/SJPW PPV - Ryūgusaki Rumble - which will air next month from Ryūgusaki, Japan. We get another promo hyping the premiere edition of ASW’s new flagship show on ION - Worldwide - which will air next week. We return to the ringside area, as the Cage begins to lower from the arena ceiling to the ring. Monsoon hypes the match, as we cut away to a video package detailing the feud between Andre the Giant and Randy Savage. We see Randy Savage stood in the locker room area, Miss Elizabeth at his side, with Jim Ross who is about to conduct a pre-match interview. Ross tries to ask Savage a question, but he’s not in the mood. He grabs the microphone and pushes Ross away. “Andre! You think it’s OK to put your hands on another’s man’s wife?!” he yells, referring back to Andre’s despicable actions last week. Savage continues to rant and rave incoherrently, before throwing the microphone down and storming off, Elizabeth in his wake. STEEL CAGE MATCH FOR THE ASW CHAMPIONSHIP - ANDRE THE GIANT vs RANDY SAVAGE (C)Andre is out first to the most deafening boos heard all night. He walks down to the ring, waving at the fans and smiling, as if he’s the good guy here. He walks to the side of the cage, and shakes the wall. Obviously satisified, he enters the cage, and continues waving and smiling. Savage is out next with Elizabeth, but he leaves her behind as he charges down the aisle and into the cage. He makes a beeline for Andre, and begins hammering away with rights and lefts. The bell rings, and we’re underway. Andre soon stops Savage’s momentum by pushing him right onto his back. He goes for a big elbow drop to follow, but Savage rolls out of the way. Savage, incensed, jumps back onto Andre and hammers away. The punches are obviously hard as Andre is already busted open above his right eye. Savage unwraps the wrist tape from his left arm, forms a ligature with it, and begins choking Andre, whose large arms flail about as he struggles for air. Andre seems to pass out, and Savage relinquishes his grip. Savage points to the air, calling for his signature diving elbow drop. He climbs to the top rope, but stops, turns, and looks at the top of the cage. He looks back at Andre, who is still motionless on the canvas, then back to the top of the cage. Savage scales the cage to the very top, then dives off, as Andre rolls out of the way - revealing that he’d just been playing possum. Andre smiles wickedly, then pulls Savage up into a bearhug. He runs and drives Savage spine-first into each of the four walls of the cage, before dropping him to the canvas. Andre places his foot on Savage’s throat, and shifts all of his weight on to that leg. “He’ll break his neck! Get that guy out of here!” Monsoon shouts over the deafening boos in the Barclay’s Center. Andre finally steps away, and notices Elizabeth on the outside. Distracted, he tries to intimidate her, and succeeds. Seemingly out of nowhere, Savage attacks him from behind. Andre spins around, and Savage blasts him with a low blow. Andre drops to his knees, and Savage rams his knee straight into the Giant’s face. Andre falls back, and Savage ties his arms up in the ropes. Andre panics as he realises that he is trapped. Savage looks around wildly, then rushes over to the side of the cage, where he bgins pulling on something, which is soon revealed as one of the large bolts that holds the cage together. Savage uses the bolt on the open wound above Andre’s right eye - digging it in as far as he can. Andre cries out in agony as Savage continues to press down with the bolt. He steps away, and blood pours down the Giant’s face. Savage tosses the bolt aside, and heads back towards Andre, who punches him right in the solar plexes, having freed one of his arms. Savage collapses, and Andre frees his other arm. He touches the wound above his eye, then refocuses on the match. He pulls Savage up, and bodyslams him. Clearly panicked by his wound, Andre wants to end this now. He asks the Ref to open the door, and he does. Andre steps out through the door, about to win…until Savage grabs his ankle. Savage pulls with all the strength he can muster, as Andre tries to shake him off, which he does. He turns back to the door, only for Elizabeth to slam it shut on him, to the approval of the crowd. “Justice!” Monsoon shouts. Andre staggers backwards, and Savage catches him with another low blow. Andre collapses in agony. Savage walks over to the door and says something to Elizabeth. She seems hesitant, but Savage insists. She walks over and picks up a chair, which she then passes to her husband through the door. Savage places the chair around Andre’s right ankle, then climbs to the top rope and hits a diving elbow drop, closing the chair around Andre’s ankle. Andre screams in agony, his ankle surely broken, as Savage stands over him. Savage spits in Andre’s face, then walks over to the door and steps out. Randy Savage defeats Andre the Giant by escape from the cage to retain the ASW championship! Savage is handed back the title, and embraces Elizabeth as EMT’s rush down to the ring to check on Andre’s ankle. Savage and Elizabeth walk to the back, stopping at the curtain, where Savage lifts her onto his shoulders and holds the title aloft. Gorilla Monsoon thanks us for joining ASW on it’s first PPV, and says he will see us next week for Worldwide in Osaka, Japan.
