This...I'm guessing is what would've happened if they'd gone with the original plan of Cody turning heel after the Brotherhood lost the titles. Before he became Stardust he was trying to find a better partner for Goldust, only to discover that Goldust was the weak link, leading to the feud. I'm guessing this is the direction they'd have gone with Cody after...and of course he would've knocked it out of the park again. I really hope he gets the chance to do this eventually.
This just makes me sad that he's still stuck with Stardust, who is a jobber for life. Stardust would make a fantastic Space Ghost style talk show host or Austin Powers villain, but as a wrestler its far past dead. Cody needs to come back, he could grow the mustache back and it would still be more over than Apollo Crews, who i think he has jobbed to on tv at least twice a week for the past month.

I... don't see anything but generic heel in a suit.

I... don't see anything but generic heel in a suit. in' thank you! I hoped someone would say it. The Stardust character is the most invested I've ever personally been in Cody Rhodes. Because it's not cookie cutter bullcrap. It's just too bad the WWE has such a hard time making things other than the main storyline feel important. If you take the Stardust character and put him in the Lucha Underground universe it would get over. Same for Bray Wyatt. The WWE has no clue whatsoever what they want to do with Bray Wyatt because he is an actual character. The WWE's roster right now is the deepest it's been in a long time (when everyone is healthy and including NXT) but outside of a handful of people no one has a personality or a character... Cody shows a personality with the Stardust character and people crap on it and want vanilla heeldom instead. Bah!

You could give Cody a gimmick of a short order cook from the local pancake house, and he'd make it work. Wasn't that Punk's gimmick? :-P

IDK why they haven't pulled the trigger on an uppermid card push for Cody. Dude has been around forever, Still only 30 years old and is stuck in a jobber gimmick. Dude is so much better than what he is doing right now.

I dont think it wouldve worked. The evil rich guy gimmick has been done to death and Marvel might sue because of similarity to James Rhodes/War Machine/Stark Industries.

Never seen this before looks pretty good. They would obviously have to do it in a real office and not a green screen, and Eden would be a great addition to his character and probably get him to that main event level, or at the very least top mid card guy. Stardust has run its course, time for him to move on and this gimmick might be it.

Didn't watch, but I'm sure Cody could have made whatever it is work. Dude has a knack for being able to make even the silliest of things relevant and always get them over

What a great gimmick that would have been.

IDK why they haven't pulled the trigger on an uppermid card push for Cody. They have. Several times. It always fails and they always have to find some funny voices/facial hair/tag partner to make him interesting again.

It always fails and they always have to find some funny voices/facial hair/tag partner to make him interesting again. I thought he was doing fine back in Mid/Late 2013. After he and Goldust lost the tag titles they could of continued pushing him as a Singles guy but instead what did they do? Kept on sticking him with Goldust and then they debuted the Stardust gimmick which was a step down from where he was.

Cody was white hot back when he began feuding with The Shield and The Authority with Goldust. His downfall came when Triple H woke up one morning and decided that his best friends should come back and get another run with the tag titles for absolutely no reason whatsoever. That was the beginning of the end for both Cody and Goldust.
