Maybe not, but I'm sure transgender matches are just around the corner. Like if you were born male but wrestle like a woman - which ring should you use?

She also wrestled Tajiri, who pretty much destroyed her. That's right, I remember that now - it was for either SMASH or HUSTLE I think. Lol

I don't think it's likely. One of the reasons WWE hasn't hired Candice LeRae yet is because she still competes in them. I was just coming here to post this. It's a shame too because she's a great worker.

lucha underground has shown how female's can be competitors if it's done right. rather wwe in it's current format and product direction has that within it's capacity or not, i don't know, but it can be done.

The reason Intergender works on the indy's is because a lot of the wrestler (male or female) are all around the same size. In the WWE there is a small handful men that are similar in stature to the majority of the women on the roster.
In all honesty if the WWE is going to do intergender matches in the near future would be during the Cruiserweight Classic.

I'm a bit confused. Isn't an intergender match a mixed tag or is it something else?

I don't see the need for them.

Only in certain circumstances would I be okay with it
Like, if Nattie got into a rivalry with Maryse, maybe have nattie vs the Miz
Someone like the Miz could really get good heat in a match like this and use that to fill the match time, then every time nattie gets a shot / move / roll up, that will generate a cheer
As for just putting on random intergender matches, I don't think there is any need for it

Ivelisse and Candice wrestle dudes all the time and it's awesome. No reason WWE couldn't do it with someone like Becky or Sasha if they really wanted to make that happen. LU puts on an inter gender match pretty much once a week. Pretty sure Taya gets absolutely wrecked by Cage at least once a week too haha.
From a corporate standpoint, I can understand that it's something they have to be extremely careful with so it's tasteful. However, this is another one of those situations where WWE pretends they're progressive but really they are behind the times and misogynist. Inter gender matches work in literally every other company besides WWE? That's... convenient.
I don't necessarily need to see inter gender matches just for the sake of it. LU presents women as a part of their roster as a whole, without divide, and thus the inter gender matches seem far more seamless. WWE has a division to specifically segregate the men and women. So if WWE is going to cross that line they have to do it in storyline form with a build. Which ultimately is really probably why it hasn't happened. I can't even imagine trying to present that kind of story to Vince, have him actually get it and understand it, and then allow it to go on long enough to actually happen.
Pro wrestling is fake. If you can tell a compelling story with a man and woman in a match then I'd be happy to watch it. The same way I'll watch Black Widow beat up men in Marvel movies.

They'll never do it again. I could only really see it working with Asuka, Sasha Banks & Becky Lynch too. Maybe Nia Jax.

I'm a bit confused. Isn't an intergender match a mixed tag or is it something else? A mixed tag match is two women and two men on seperate teams. The rules state that the women can only wrestle each other and vice versa. An intergender match involves a woman and a man wrestling each other.

It only works if the women wrestle a comedy character like Zack Ryder or Miz. Having a woman wrestle Randy Orton, would be ridiculous.

People seem to forget, nobody is going to sue LU for promoting violence to women. 90% of America never even heard of LU.
Meanwhile if WWE did it, all it would take is one mother to blame WWE for promoting violence to women. The blood thirsty sharks like Nancy Grace & Gloria Allred would quickly jump on board. The Chris Benoit case would get brought up daily on the nightly news. Next thing you know, WWE is in federal court. Sponsors are pulling out. Not to mention WWE would lose a fortune on legal fees.
All because this one mother doesn't supervise her children well enough to know what they are watching or how they are acting. Sucks but that is the world we live in.

Sadly they probably won't. It takes some good booking to make them work well, but they are fun. We all know WWE is entertainment so its not like the guys are really trying to beat the woman up, and considering that WWE loves having the women hit defenseless men I think they might as well bring them back.
To me the women characters got over better when they were mixed into feuds with the males. Like Stephanie with Y2J & Triple H....Fans could not wait to finally see Triple H get a little revenge on Stephanie at WM X8. Sherri back in the 80's and 90's would get involved, beat up men, and she would take some bumps from males and the crowd loved it. Lita had great success mixing it up with males, and of course Chyna did. If booked the right way, it works. It can work great for the non wrestler women and the good female wrestlers. I'm a fan of Entertainemnt and I wish we would see it again, but I sadly don't see it happening.
One of the last times I remember it was this match, which I remember enjoying.

Not in this "New Era". lol I've never been a fan of how WWE has treated men vs women matches.
Look at what they did with Chyna! They constantly alluded to her having a penis "because that's the only possible way she could compete with men". (I won't go off on a tangent, but it still makes me mad when people say Chyna was a pioneer.)
In the early-mid 2000's we also saw them only as one sided, violent squashes. Jamie Noble/Nidia and Vince/Stephanie instantly come to mind.
Inter-gender wrestling can be really good. The feud and eventual partnership between Candice LeRae and Joey Ryan was great and WWE could easily bring them in and they'd TEAR UP NXT. But as long as Vince is in charge, we'd only get bullsh*t where men beat down women.

It's a shame too because she's a great worker. I'm a big fan, but she's far from "great". She's really good and has a ton of potential. One of the reasons she's burnt out on the indy scene is because there hasn't been a lot of growth in her move set.
