So after several coats, many different blends of colour and a bunch of trial and error, I've finally gotten a pair of black knee pads to a satisfactory blue to match the figure. I'm letting them dry and then will seal them.
As far as the zebra / tiger stripe is concerned - could someone experienced give me some advice? I bought a very thin point Sharpie to draw them on. Would that work? Could I draw them in Sharpie and go over in black acrylic? Then seal them?
Any advice is appreciated. This is my first custom anything so I'm excited and trying to do a very good job. Plus that fig just really needs knee pads.

don't use sharpie , first of all; your best bet is to get some paint and paint em on

Well, here is them with sharpie (didn't get a response so just went for it: Sould I carefully paint the black parts with black acrylic? OR re-do the blue and start again?

I used Sharpie (above) but I only display. I might go back over with black acrylic paint. Playing with the figure w/ sharpie knee pads would definitely rub off I would imagine.
