Over time, as I've picked up more and more of the female Mattel figures, it seems that they don't typically move well. The legs don't bend out easy (like in a kick-to-the-gut motion), and they just seem WAY more rigid than most other Mattel figures.
I have noticed that Sasha Banks and the Elite Stephanie McMahon have much better movement than any of the typical female Mattel figures... but I'm not sure if there's a specific reason for that, or if those are just flukes.
Any ideas on how to make the female figures a bit more playable/moveable.. and is this fairly common with female Mattels?

The Mattel Female Figures are too fragile I've replaced so many of them it's beyond annoying... But the Sasha, Elite Stephanie, Elite A.J, The Final A.J, Charlotte Flair, Emma & Cameron were figures that were easy to move the joints.

I forgot about AJ. Most of the AJ figures I have gotten were fairly easy to move.
Charlotte and Emma were the same rigid figures as most Mattels. I don't remember about Cameron one way or the other...

The only female figures I own are miss Elizabeth and Stephanie McMahon. Both are fine

I think they may have messed up by making them so thin. I know its accurate but most of them are just really stiff and I fear breaking them because of their stiffness and size.

Diva figure break easily and they're articulation sucks. It's why I don't buy diva figs. I WANT to buy them but they're just subpar. The only diva figure that I currently own is suited Stephanie.

I recall the arm on my first Melina being waaay super tight, and when I turned it in the hopes of something breaking free (or the arm breaking off), nothing changed, no matter how much I spun it, so she now resides at the very bottom of where I store my figures.

My Emma can barely move her arms. If I tried, it would break. My Sasha Banks however has great articulation. Same with my AJ.

A lot of them are brittle, E37 Stephanie and E34 Paige are the only ones that come to mind that I'm not afraid of snapping their legs off if I pose them. Usually I have to give them all a "breaking in" with a hair dryer after I open them(in case parts fuse together), I'm surprised the new awesome Nattie has brand new legs, but the same old crappy ratchet hips.

Have every single one... the only issue I've had was an elite Paige who's torso didn't get glued together. Some of the early ones can do the splits, but how often are you going to be posing them that way.

Sounds like you need to soak them in hot water. When my figures have hips that aren't moving properly (every Legends figure suffered from this) I would run them under hot tap water for a minute or two (or you could just boil a cup of water and set the figure in it for a couple minutes) then I make sure the hips would move freely in both forward and outward positions and if they did I would put them in an outward split and leave them overnight like that. The next day they movement would be fine. I did tat with every Legends figure I purchased. If the hips didn't move freely when I took them out of the hot water I would put it back into the water again for another minute and retry.

My Elite Steph's legs move super easy. And my Sasha moves pretty as well. I reckon all of them moves fairly well. The only one I have issues with is Naomi. Her left leg doesn't seem to work well and her knees are super tight. I can't get her on he knees....I hear Jimmy has the same issue hahaha

The newer arm and leg molds seem to be easier to move. The biggest problem I notice with the older figures is the arems. The shoulders are always so tight that when I try to lower the arms, the bicep part tends to want to bend and stress rather than actually make the shoulder glide.

A friend of mine gifted me a Sasha Banks and since she's the only female figure I own, I have little knowledge here aside from my own experience, and my Sasha is fine. Much better than I expected, though there's a serious need for a wrist hinge and ankle pivot.

Because most of the female figures suck and are completely disproportionate and reuse the same 4 molds. Maybe one day women's wrestlers will get good looking, proportionate, and unique figures

Which is ironic since most of the divas are very loose in real life

Most of the women's figures I have got have loose hip and torso joints. I wish I could get some with super stiff joints cause at least I can loosen them up.
