I haven't seen much of this up in my area (NE Massachusetts), but I have seen it a few times. I bought E37 (is it 37?) Malenko SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE some goof put the NXT Womens Title in place of the one thats supposed to be there. IIRC, they put the wrong belt in there anyway.

I do not steal belts, but can you really blame them ? The belts can sell for more than the retail figure and belt. So its pure money for those sneaky enough to do it. My answer to this is the same as when someone complains about scalpers. Don't buy from them and the market won't be there. My question to you would be: how do you prove which person on eBay is the guy who stole those belts from stores and which one is the guy who is selling belts from figures he purchased because he wants to recoup some cost by selling accessories he doesn't need or want? Also mattel does nothing about it aka selling elite belt sets even though people have asked many times. Mattel has already very plainly stated that belt packs won't work. They are cost prohibitive to make and most retail stores won't go for them. So, you might say change to a more secure packaging. Well, we're already pissed about having to pay 20 bucks for Elites and 25 for DMs, if they change to a more secure clamshell packaging, the cost per figure will definitely rise. That's one of the reasons why there are NO toy companies shipping their figures in clamshell packaging anymore. Retail stores don't bother either with there barely working cameras or non-existent cameras that are just for show. Unless someone working at the store catches the person red handed, not much can be done. Also at wal-mart stores a manager has to catch the person in the act of stealing to take any action. So most wal-mart hourly workers don't even bother. I'm not sure what you're trying to get across with these statements. The first one is contradicted by the second two. Mattel, Retail, etc all turn a blind eye to this. Then they wonder why people steal so much stuff... Nobody is turning a blind eye to anything, but this isn't a cut-and-dry "do this and then that will happen" situation. People are always going to steal and always have stolen, nothing can be done to combat THAT. You do what you can.

Same with me and e38 macho man. I've not been able to find it at retail anywhere except once but the package looked like it had been broken into

I've probably seen a dozen Sami's and all but one had the belt stolen.

I saw these lock boxes at a TRU the other day. Seemed a bit strange, but I can see how they would help. That's a great idea.

Not that I'm saying this isn't right, but the reflection suggests you took this photo with a camera and the back looks like a floor, not in a store. Did you buy it without looking at it?

I really like the protective casing. I can't tell how many times I've come across this.

It is getting ridiculous. I went to k-mart earlier looking for the new finn and saw 3 NOD 2-packs all with the IC belt stolen and a e33 X-pac with his belt stolen as well. It really is sickening.

Even with those protective boxes, thieves would still find a way (such as swapping and then returning for example). The persistence of these pieces of **** never ceases to amaze me. If only they could channel a quarter of that effort into being productive in society, then maybe they could actually get a job and afford to buy those figures legally as opposed to constantly renewing their membership to being the underbelly of society. MY local TRU had every single belt taken from every figure that they had. I mentioned it and they seemed to not care. Of course they won't move so nothing new will be put out. Every Brock WM there was ripped open, 123 kid, all of them. Such a disaster.

Oh damn...good catch. I didn't even notice this is from a one-post jobber. It's an attention post. Probably purchased it, took the belt out, resealed it and then took the picture.

I don't steal actually, believe it or not. But I did buy it because like I previously said, i hadn't ever seen one in retail. I usually keep my items in the box but have a few loose, I bought this Sami and will just use the NXT belt that comes with KO, or eventually buy another if I see one.

I said this is a figure you had already purchased and removed the belt from. Nine times out of ten when a brand new member starts his career by posting pictures of repacks, missing items, or "unbelievable steals", it's either an attention post from someone with too much time on their hands or a PBM.

Whats gonna happen sooner or later is they will not allow returns or exchanges on elites, then all wwe figures.

Well that may be true and I didn't know all that. It technically is my first post, although I've been a lurker for quite some time.
