Yeah, sorry I didn't post the pics earlier. I was busy with work and finishing up school work all week.
Well, this was the first WWE event in Victoria in 8 years and the crowd and the whole city was pumped for the event. Tons of media coverage and publicity had been going on throughout the week with radio commercials, local TV interviews and Edge having an autograph session at Wal-Mart.
I managed to get a job this year at the new arena for as "event staff". That means I set up lighting, chairs, barricades, snack tables and the stage and set before an event. I was thrilled to discover that I would be working this show and would be able to see all the wrestlers backstage. Due to company policies I wasn't able to ask for autographs or pictures as I would have been fired. I decided also when I saw them to not bother them by asking questions or anything like that. I know they have lives of their own and are probably bothered enough when they're not working. I did manage to talk to both Chris Masters and Muhammed Hassan as they both asked me the same question being "Where's the bathroom man?". Pretty sweet. I also got to see the wrestlers warm up in the ring and strectch which was totally awesome as well.
When the ticket ushers started letting people in, I went to a gate and met up with two of my friends who are casual wrestling fans. I bought a program, a John Cena Chain-Gang Shirt, and The new "Ayatolla" Jericho shirt. They didn't have the two shirts I wanted being the Hogan one and the Christain one. I ended up buying a $4.00 pop as I was so thirsty from working since 6:00 that morning.
We sat down at our amazing seats. Dead center was my seat to the ring. Amazing! 5 rows up, it couldn't be any better than that except front row. Not to mention, the seat in front of me was empty and there were no drunk annoying people around me! My friends and I then sat back and enjoyed the expierience of the WWE live....

The pictures were taken with my friends camera. Mine didn't turn out as well as I had hoped.
The show was very good all the way around. Each match was solid, with the stand-out matches being Benoit/Snitsky in an ECW hardcore rules match, Christain/Benjamen for Intercontinental title and Hassan/Jericho because of the special guest appearence by the Roddy Piper. The crowd wasn't as loud as I expected. But then again, when I looked around alot of the people there were families, middle-aged men, and plenty of little kids. Not as many wrestling fans as I had expected. Also, some idiot ran into the ring at the end of the HHH, Ric Flair/Batista match and both HHH and the ref were extremely pissed! I hope it doesn't leave a sour taste in the WWE's mouth and I hope they come back again real soon instead of coming back in another 8 years.
I had a helluva time. The working backstage was just icing on the cake to the great event that the WWE put on. I look forward to them returning to Victoria again!
I will answer any questions that anyone has.
Enjoy the pics!
