Randy Orton opens Raw. The Viper has a lot of explaining to do after costing John Cena the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match inside the Elimination Chamber at Extreme Rules. Orton gets in the ring and claims he owes nobody an explanation. Randy states that the “Real Face of the WWE is back and it is him, not John Cena. Orton makes 2 demands. A match with John Cena, and a WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match here tonight. Shane McMahon comes out to the ring. Shane regrets to inform Randy, that things don’t work this way in the new era. Shane calls Orton’s actions unacceptable. As a result, Shane suspends Orton until futher notice. The Viper loses his cool. Randy screams at Shane… “INJURIES, SUSPENSIONS. IT DOESN’T MATTER TO ME ANYMORE.” Suspend me and you lose the face of your company. Shane politely asks Orton to leave and says that he will consider Randy’s demands for the future when Randy’s behavior improves. Orton looks like he is going to leave when he RKOs Shane Outta Nowhere. Before leaving, The Viper hits Shane with a Punt. Security has to escort Randy out of the building.
Bubba Ray & D-Von Dudley def. Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston in a tag match when D-Von pinned Woods after a 3-D
Up next: WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman have a huge announcement.
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lensar & Paul Heyman come out to the stage. Paulie announces that since Brock has destroyed the WWE’s Best, they are leaving town until this company finds a better opponent for Brock. Brock & paulie walk off the stage as RVD leaves the announce table. Hayes asks RVD, “Where the hell you going Rob?” RVD replies, “I’m a Paul Heyman Guy.” We cut to commercial with JBL screaming at commentary, “Well who is in charge now?”
Vince McMahon is on stage as Raw returns. Vince says that he understands that tonight’s start to Raw has been chaotic, and as a result, he is in power for the rest of the show. He announces that Shane has big plans for Money In The Bank and says we will see if his son can recover by then. Vince says has not yet decided Randy Orton’s punishment, but he does announce his son Shane’s plans for Money In The Bank. Vince says that in speaking to Shane earlier today, Shane declared the following:
- that the Elimination Chamber match at Extreme Rules was our best chamber match ever. “And Damnit, I agreed with Shane.”
Therefore, the 5 participants who were unsuccessful in the chamber will get another opportunity in the Money In The Bank Ladder Match. John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, Chris Jericho, Sheamus & NXT Champion Tyler Breeze will all compete in the ladder match at the PPV. But Vince says that Shane had another request before his unfortunate beat down by Orton earlier tonight. Vince claims that Shane wanted more challengers for the coveted briefcase. So Shane wanted to add the WWE Tag Team Champions. Vince confirms that they will also be in this ladder match. Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns join the fray hot off their TLC match victory at Extreme Rules. Vince informed Shane (earlier in the night) that there are 7 participants so far, so why not make it 8. Vince says that there will be a battle royal to determine the final Money In The Bank spot right now.
Kane won a battle royal featuring Rusev, Miz, New Day, Social Outcasts, Fandango, Golden Truth, The Usos, Primo, Alberto Del Rio, Zack Ryder & The Dudley Boyz by last eliminating Rusev
Michael Hayes informs us that John Cena will battle Chris Jericho in tonight’s main event.
Eva Marie & Charlotte def. Natalya & Paige when Eva scored a pin on Nattie after Charlotte hit Nattie with a Natural Selection
Primo def. R-Truth (w/ Goldust) with a rollup when Alberto Del Rio came out to beat up Goldust at ringside, distracting R-Truth
Up next: Renee Young interviews Dolph Ziggler about his upcoming All Champions Tag Match as IC Champ Dolph Ziggler is forced to team with NXT Champion Tyler Breeze to take on Tag Team Champions Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose. This match will feature half of the Money In The Bank Ladder Match participants. Ziggler reminds Renee Young that he is used to dealing with tag partners he doesn’t really like. Del Rio & Primo walk by. Del Rio interrupts Ziggler as Del Rio informs Ziggler he is of the “lower class.” Del Rio says that he & Primo are now known as The Aristocrats as apparently a new tag team has formed here tonight on Raw. Ziggler walks away shaking his head in amusement.
Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose def. Tyler Breeze & Dolph Ziggler in a non-title all champions tag match. Breeze & Ziggler were unable to co-exist and as a result, Dolph Superkicked Tyler who then got hit with a Superman Punch and a Spear to end this match
United States Championship Match: Rusev def. Fandango with an Accolade submission. Fandango was awarded this match after his upset victory over Rusev in a non-title bout last week.
Backstage: The Dudleyz are in Vince’s office. They ask for singles matches against New Day at Money In The Bank to prove they can win on their own. Vince likes this idea and approves these matchups to the already exciting event. Vince tells the Dudleyz that another huge match will be made on this week’s Smackdown for the Money In The Bank PPV and suggests they don’t miss the announcement.
We cut to Renee Young set to interview Chris Jericho.
Young: Jericho we are just minutes away from tonight’s main event as you battle John Cena…
Jericho: “Battle John Cena? Do I need to remind you that John Cena is battling me tonight! The Gift of Jericho is here. Soak it in Renee…(Y2J pauses to do his taunt). Besides, I beat Cena for my first WWE Championship (in my fed) in this very building several years ago. Tonight the result is going to be the same Renee. “I will be leaving Raw with my hand held high over my head, because I am the Best in the World at What I Do.”
Main Event: John Cena vs. Chris Jericho
Cena went to AA Y2J but the ref got in the way. Sheamus ran in to Brogue Kick Cena. Conveniently, the ref recovered just in time to count the 3 for Y2J as Chris Jericho def. John Cena to end Raw
