I'm going to be honest, I think the ONOs really go against TNA, they don't really progress the brand that much and I simply feel that bringing back the actual PPVs will make TNA do well again, which I what I really want. I was in London when they were taping the Joker's Wild PPV live, it bored the hell out of me live, so I never even bothered watching it on TV.
This is what I'm thinking:
January - Final Resolution February - Against All Odds March - Destination X April - Lockdown May - Sacrifice June - Slammiversary July - Victory Road August - Hardcore Justice September - No Surrender September - Unbreakable (Two PPVs in September to hype BFG) October - Bound for Glory November - Turning Point December - Genesis
Even if it means holding them at Universal, hey, the 2005 PPVs were held at Universal and they were great.
Thoughts?

TNA doesn't have the roster or star power to really do monthly PPVs anymore.
On those taped PPVs that they do, don't they usually bring in outside talent for one night just to fill up the show?? I remember a few years ago when guys like Hardcore Holly would be wrestling for TNA for that one night, or they would bring back former X-Division stars (that should never have been let go in the first place) to fill up the 3 hour block.

Isn't the reason they do the One Night Only PPVs is because of their international PPV deals

4 quarter annual big events a year is enough in my opinion. have your final show of the month always be a slight feud resolution show. that's how i'd handle it.

TNA should go back to the old wrestling model of like 4 PPVs a year. It would give them the opportunity to develop stories and not shotgun everything.

The One Night Only PPV's were very pointless and I'm sure they did poorly in sales.

I will agree that TNA should have a 4 PPV schedule. I would do Genesis in January, Lockdown in April, Slammiversary in June and Bound for Glory in October. If POP really plans to keep TNA long term, they should consider doing Clash of the Champions type shows. Instead of using an episode of Impact Wrestling as a special, use a Saturday or Sunday to have these specials.

I agree they should bring back atleast some PPVs. I'd do 8 regular PPV's and 4 ONO's. I dont get why they have a deal where they can do PPVs but refuse to do more than 2.

They shouldn't scrap it. But they should do more to make it "canon" so it isn't a massive waste of time and resources.

I would scrap the ONO PPVs and have 4-6 PPVs over the year. They don't have the roster to have more than 6 PPVs a year.

I would try to get the company turned around before we would try to relaunch PPVs

TNA needs to get people paid and actually have funds to do PPVs before doing anything big.

TNA needs to get people paid and actually have funds to do PPVs before doing anything big. They already air new PPV's monthly so they obviously have the funds to do so, but they choose to do the ONO's instead of the old 12

I recall reading that they had to do those for contractual obligations with PPV providers. I could be wrong though.

Isn't the reason they do the One Night Only PPVs is because of their international PPV deals I do believe you are correct! So I wouldn't scrap ONO's because they have to do them. But I would like 3 PPVs for TNA a year. Definitely Slammiversary, Bound for Glory, and Lockdown.
