Before I go on a rant. I'm a dog lover and own a Blue Nose Brindle Gotti Pitt.
For the last couple months I've noticed people taking there dogs everywhere with them. I see them in Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, Target, and even Dunkin Donuts.
I work construction. I don't want to see your dog in Home Depot while I'm try to maneuver a 4x6 cart with 300lbs of loaded materials. It's not going to help you pick out a new floor for your living room. I don't want to see your dog in Dunkin while getting a ice coffee trying to start my day @630am. It's a distraction, holding up the line and costing me time. I don't want to see your dog in Walmart, that place is already a cluster ****!
I understand people with disabilities need service dogs. It's these uppity up ****s that think there entitled to bring their dog everywhere. Or the people that make up a excuse and act like there dog is there Xanax.
I get spending time with your dog and taking it out of the house.... I take mine out for walks, the park, a ride in the car. But Jesus Christ, there's a time and place for everything (like the saying goes). I don't want to see your dog in a retail or food place.

I too am a dog lover. I own a 10 year old Jack Russell and a 2 year old Chihuahua who I love dearly.
I do not, however, want to eat in a restaraunt where somebody has their dog sniffing around everywhere. Unless you have a dog that helps you with a disability, there's zero reason to take it to a place like that.

I'm allergic to dogs. I say keep the puke eating drool machines at home so I can lay off the Flonase and Claritin.

My aunt was like that at first when she got her puppy many years ago. Luckily he got so big and unruly that she learned better.
...I'm sorry, you own a what?

...I'm sorry, you own a what? Pit bull owners would understand. Brindle is the color of hair (brindle being the most scarce in Pitts). "Gotti" is the breed of Pitt.

You can thank the overly touchy sue happy crowd for a lot of places not cracking down on people bringing their dogs into places of business.
The law is that it's only supposed to be service animals allowed, but ADA training courses WILL tell you that if a person claims their animal is a service animal (even if it's plain that it's not), you let them go. It's all about avoiding lawsuits anymore.
Now, service animal or not, if the animal is being unruly and causing an issue, they can be told to leave at that point.

Dogs are pets, not a fashion accessory. Yes, I know some dogs suffer from separation anxiety. But people should have thought about that before they decided to get one. P.S. This is Piggy, and she's awesome.

I used to be a supervisor at sears. I would ALWAYS ask people to take their pets outside. That's wayyyy too much of a liability for the store and myself. How the hell can I explain to HR or my district/regional manager why a customer was bitten by a dog while shopping for a microwave? People are way too entitled these days.

The thing that gets me are these people who act like dogs are their children(generally people who don't have children) and refuse to go anywhere without their dogs. Something I see more and more everyday.

Honestly I was hoping this was going to be a thread filled with pictures of dogs doing human activities, like the painting of dogs playing poker.

Neh I disagree to some extent, there was a dude who lived round here called Skippy, his dog Jasmine went everywhere with him and was really well trained, He never used a leash / lead with her I'm not even sure she had a collar, she would sit outside the bookies while he was in the betting for ages and not bother a soul. If your dog is like that then take it wherever its not a hygiene concern like restaurants. But I think that situation is a rarity I dont know many others who have that control over their dog.

You are a complete moron. There are bad owners, not bad dogs. In 10 years, breeds like golden retrievers and labs will be considered most dangerous due to interbreeding to keep them full bred. No need for name calling cuz you're butt hurt about my statement. You're entitled to your own opinion, but facts are facts. They're dangerous.
