That's pretty cool that even something not nearly as big series wise got special editions. I like it. You wouldn't happen to have any pictures of them? These are the ones I know of. There could be more. I'm not sure whose face is more disturbing, Edge of Road Dogg. Yikes. Haha.

Does any know if the breakable wooden board that comes with Road Dogg the same as the one that came with DA Cena? Cent remember the series, but believe he had his black shirt with orange and the bulldog face. I believe it was the same, just painted different. Question I've always wondered about these: I know there were four regular series, but I've also seen the shiny/different attired "special edition" figures floating around. Where did those originate? Store exclusive of some kind? The Special Edition Maximum Sweat Series was exclusive to electronics stores like EB, Babbage's, and Software, Etc. in November 1999. The lineup is the same as Series 2, except with repainted figures and accessories. It was released after Series 3 though, hence the similar packaging. crush posted MOC images of four out of six; the only two missing are Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

I'm not big on using the word, "hate" but I hated these figures.

The special editions look worse than the regular ones, since the colors make no sense. Also why would their clothes be metal? Edge isn't too bad since I think he did have some metallic designs on his tights IRL.

I thought I was the only one that loved these! My all time favorite figures. I've got all of them, plus resin prototypes, first pulls, painted prototypes, and even the original concept figure shown to Jakks. I've got 2 totes of extras I use for customs, too. I'll share some pics later tonight.
Funny story - I met Kane in 1999, and of all the things I could go have signed by him I had him autograph the Series 1 MOC unmasked version. One of my favorite things in the collection.

Here is my display. I didn't get a chance to dig out my totes of extras. I have a TON of extras... including resin casts of parts that didn't end up making it into the line, likes hands and fists in different poses as well as original sculpts for some of the weapons. I'll try to get to those down the road. SHELF ONE -The Kane in the back middle is a hand painted resin prototype. It does not have the sweating action; Just a smooth back. This was before the feature was implemented; back when it was still called "Maximum Attitude". It was the "paint master" used to send to the factory so they knew how to paint it. -The Undertaker on the left and the Austin on the right are prototypes. The white/light parts are resin but the dark grey parts are actually primed sculpey - ORIGINAL sculpts for the figures. Also do not contain the sweat pump. -The Austin in the front is the ORIGINAL concept shown to Jakks to even initiate the idea of a line like this. It is a kit-bashed "custom" he threw together to represent the idea. The head is an original sculpt and the rest is a mixture of a heavily modified Hulk Absorbing Man and an old Freddy Krueger figure. -The hang tag in the front shows how the line was originally entered into the Target computers. "Maximum Attitude" - before the silly sweat gimmick. Not sure if this tag ever made it to the shelf or if it was changed just before the update. It was gifted to me when I bought the prototype pieces. -The other Kane figures are previous customs of mine. (This lighting makes the fleshtones look WAY OFF - may be time to repaint those arms I guess...) SHELF TWO -ABA Undertaker is a custom of mine. -Absorbing Man heads are for a future custom project. SHELF THREE -X-Pac is a custom based off the look of the "Brawl 4 All" mini Maximum Sweat style figure. SHELF FOUR Anything missing from the pics that were retail released I own but may not be in the shelf due to space. I plan on reworking the display soon, as I have SEVERAL customs lined up that I'll show off when I finish them. Thanks for checking it out. rxchrisg , thanks for starting this thread!

I bought rock, SCSA and triple h when. I was in college. Used them for WWF ppv party decorations. When ever we bought a ppv, we would throw them up on top of the tv. I think I sold them off in a garage sale, if not they have been lost in time. I bought them because they were big and I liked the exaggerated look they had.

Batman ain't a volunteer firefighter Only Batman can prevent wildfires. So you're saying that the Batmobile doubles as a International WorkStar Brush Truck and the Batwing is secretly a PZL-Mielec M18 Dromader firebomber?

MAN, i loved these. I even now buy the Kane ones that find their way onto eBay. Something about the ultra weird sculpt of the figure makes for great customs. They might be my favorite line of all time haha.

Gosh seeing these really makes me miss the off the wall Jakks figures. The STOMP series was pure gimmicky! I just had to have that sting ray Chyna lol.
How many of you actually played with these? I remember dying to have Kane, buying him for $2, then coming home and playing with him. Five minutes later I threw him aside. He was just way too big for the BCAs. These were so hideous but awesome! Does anyone else think Road Dogg looks like Upchurch the redneck?
