*WCPW has announced the launch of the inaugural Pro Wrestling World Cup, a first of its kind 64-man tournament.
Run over ten separate dates beginning March 21st, the Pro Wrestling World Cup will see competitors from six continents compete in eight preliminary tournaments – to be held in several different countries.
The preliminaries will see eight men competing in a single fall elimination tournament. Each preliminary tournament will consist of competitors from a single country: Canada, England, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Scotland, USA. A tournament will also be held for competitors from the Rest Of The World, with eight further countries represented. Two winners will proceed from each tournament.
A two-night, 16-man, final will be held in the United Kingdom in the summer.
The first preliminary event to take place on March 21st will be the regional tournament for England, and is set to be held in Nottingham.
All Pro Wrestling World Cup tournament matches will be broadcast for free on the WCPW YouTube channel, with the two-night final being broadcast live.
Professional wrestling fans in over 180 countries have viewed WCPW content, with more than 130,000 subscribers to its YouTube channel, after launching in June, 2016.
Further information will be unveiled in the coming weeks.

I ordered True Destiny. It was a blind purchase based on the card. There was some unfortunate things that occurred that had an effect. The top rope snapping in what would have been the match of the night and Pentagon Jr not showing up due to a family emergency hurt too. Overall, I can't say it was a super great show. It was decent, I'd say B-. I didn't come away feeling that this promotion is doing something different though. There was variety but it lacked creativity. They had stars, mostly borrowed but the names were there. They really need to separate themselves by thinking outside the box.

I went to my first WCPW event in Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago - was a recording of their weekly Loaded show. I agree there's not really anything that sets them apart from other indies, but it was great fun. Joe Coffey and Moose had a fantastic match that rightfully earned a standing ovation at the end. And there was a triple threat match for the Ring of Honor world championship that was brilliant (Adam Cole v Jay Lethal v El Ligero). Heard about the incidents at True Destiny which was a shame. I'd go to another WCPW show if they had one up here - I have to say when they first started I didn't like the sound of it all, and their first few shows just seemed to be all aimed at getting the people who run it over, rather than the actual talent. But there was none of that at the show I went to at least.

Does anyone know what happened to Joseph Connors? Got signed during the UK Tournament, not allowed to do WCPW anymore or any indie show that can be seen elsewhere TV, stream, DVD etc. Same with Moustache Mountain and Pete Dunne, Kirbymania was his last show
