I'm not sure if this is from Beyond the Mat or what this was filmed for but I just saw this on Bleacher Report for the first time and thought it was pretty neat.

cool clip, i'd never seen it. according to it's description it is an extra scene from the beyond the mat vhs edition.
as much as i don't like vince russo and feel he thinks he deserves too much credit, he clearly deserves more than he gets. wrestlers/old boys in the business like to throw him under the buss as this useless dude, but he claimed he used to go out into the crowd just so he could know what the crowd's responses were to feel out where they should go...and there he is doing it.

Russo on his own = not very good. Russo with Vince as a filter = Golden.

Was there any need for Russo to use so much bad language? So unprofessional.

This was my first time seeing it too, and I loved it. Especially the visual of Russo standing among the crowd.
It's also neat to see Shawn Michaels backstage when he was only about a month removed from having his ass handed to him by Bret Hart.
For this and many more reasons, Beyond the Mat remains the benchmark for me when it comes to wrestling documentaries (Hitman Hart: Wrestling with Shadows is a close second).
It's how I'll always prefer to think of Mick Foley and his family. Not so much for having his brains bashed in lol, but because he was a likable figure and in the prime of his career.

I saw this years ago on the Beyond The Mat VHS tape as an extra at the end. I totally forgot about it though until right now when watching it again.
I think that again it goes to show Russo gets a bad deal still from the critics and fans. Nobody wants to remember the great stuff he did for the WWF back then, but he was a main reason why a lot of cool stuff went down.

No matter how people look at Mick Foley's career, he is one of those types of performers who you had to witness. Like many others in the 90s, Foley had that charisma that people would kill to have. Looking back at Foley as Dude Love, shame we didn't get to see more of it. Much like Foley as Cactus Jack. I have never seen this clip like many others. As I was watching it, I can sense how smart Vince McMahon and Vince Russo was. These days, talents are so micro-managed which hurts them in the long run. Not to mention, this clip was from 1997. Many here will state 1997 was an incredible year for the WWF. For me personally, 1997 was one of those years you had to appreciate as everything was going on.
