I wasn't quite sure if this should go in here or the Entertainment board but I decided to put it here because I wanted video game fans to chime in, if this doesn't belong here I apologize, feel free to move the thread.
Anyway I just rented an awesome Documentary/Movie called "Nintendo Quest". The plot of the film is that this guy dared his buddy Jay to try and collect all of the North American released NES games in 30 days. The catch? He cannot use the Internet in anyway shape or form to obtain his goal.
It's a very fun watch that teaches you some Nintendo history, rarity of NES games, and a few other small interesting facts about them.
But overall it is just a fun watch. Jays mission is very entertaining and you find yourself rooting for him very early on in the film. They even go as deep as to let you inside Jays personal life and it makes the whole thing just that much easier to get in to.
Overall I loved watching this dude try to reach his goal and came out pleasantly surprised. This film has it all for a documentary, Drama, Suspense, Excitement, Comedy, A Villanous rival collector, an intense negotiation over on of the biggest games of all time and much much more.
It was really a great film I'd like to see others opinions on it as well as hopefully draw some new eyes to the film as I think it was a brilliant idea.
Last but not least do you guys know of any of documentaries/Movies about video games or the video game business in general? I'm a big documentary guy but I've never really seen much as far as video games go.
