He pretty much was, it helps when your brother is the booker and promoter though! Plenty of other fun characters though, the likes of Kendo Nagasaki (not to be confused with the Kendo Nagasaki that worked in Japan and the US), Catweazle and more serious wrestlers like Mick McManus and Mark Rocco.

I don't know about Firpo, I've never watched his matches before. Sounds like I'd better check it out. I don't have plans for Liberty Belle as yet, but there are going to be some more GLOW ladies following up on this one soon!

Most definitely your inspiration, Three Thirty Four! I had seen pictures of Curry when I'd be googling for images of other heels of that era, but until you put a name to him, didn't even know who he was. But the eyebrows! Never before, and never again I'd wager will we see a face like that in wrestling. And it seems his antics matched. To quote his chapter in the book The Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame, The Heels, "He'd find a mark in the audience, take their shoe off, bring it into the ring and hit the other wrestler with it." Plus he was the original Texas brass knuckles champion, from what I've read.
