I suspect it went something like this at Mattel in the marketing department: "Hey you guys, we need to plan another line. Anybody got some ideas?"
Somebody in the room said "Hey, I love the Walking Dead, how about we make some zombies? Zombies are totally hot right now!"
Next thing you know, they're all like, "Hey, Walking Dead, that's a great show! We can do that with these guys, zombies are hot!"
Voila. If they'd got at it a few years earlier...they'd have probably been like: "Hey, Twilight is really hot right now, everybody loves vampires and werewolves!"
Heaven help us if they're still keeping this up and somebody at Mattel gets a hankering for a Smackdown vs. Raw Halo edition or something.
