WFWF Tag Team Championship Match
---------------------------------------------------
The Thunderbirds (Frank Lynn & Mike Jette) vs. Joshua Dean & Drakz (c)
At New Nebula a gauntlet was thrown down by The Thunderbirds. As a newly formed team with a record of 2 and 0 they not only demanded a shot at the champs but they went as far as to celebrate in the ring, after their most recent victory, in the gaudiest fashions. They posed with replica belts and claimed they were the new champions as Drakz and Josh hadn’t defended the belts in the last 30 days. It may come as a surprise to Lynn and Jette but no such rule exists in the WFWF, however one thing does, and that is an entire locker room of people who don’t back down from a fight, the most honourable of which happens to be Joshua Dean. He took it upon himself to book this very match and so for the first time since No Remorse back in February the WFWF Tag Team Championships will be on the line and we’ll once again bare witness to the clusterf*ck that is our reigning champs. Drakz of course hasn’t been made privy to any of this just yet but I think it’s fair to say he’s not going to be happy about being forced to defend either of his title belts. This is the chance of a lifetime for The Thunderbirds as indeed they face 2015’s Tag Team of the Year but they also face the least stable Tag Team Champions in as far as we can remember.
When Two Men Need to Win
---------------------------------------------------
David Brennan vs. Dex
Last week David Brennan made a massive statement when he pinned the WFWF International Champion Lucas Crowe just a few shows before he challenges for that title at Superbrawl. This is just the latest statement from Brennan in fact, the man’s been on one hell of a roll since his recent return to the WFWF and he won’t be looking to stop now as he builds momentum for that title shot. The man standing in his way this week? Dex, another recent returnee to WFWF who hasn’t had as much of a good time since stepping back in the squared circle (that term makes no sense, let’s be honest). Dex is still looking to make his mark in the WFWF this time round and knows that a victory over David Brennan will do exactly that. A loss however will push him further down the line. This is a match that neither man can really afford to lose, but one of them has to. You know, because that’s how it works. What fun!
A Deal with The Devil
---------------------------------------------------
Trace Demon w/ Cameron Stone vs. Trevor Wolf
Trace Demon is well and truly up to his old tricks. Having embraced his role as the “bad guy” of WFWF he was quick to live up to that moniker when confronting Cameron Stone in the middle of the ring. The message was simple. Stone wants a shot at Drakz’s WFWF World Heavyweight Championship then he’s got to earn it. Putting that into practice however is the furthest thing from simple, because there’s only one way for Stone to get that title shot and it’s if Trace Demon wins his match with Trevor Wolf. Wolf of course is a fitting opponent for such a stipulation given that he swiftly made enemies out of Trace Demon and Drakz upon his debut and will want to prove that he’s capable of the upset here. Trace claims that he wants Stone to prove he’s willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants, so there really is only one big question going into this match. Will he?
Clash of The Titans
---------------------------------------------------
Joe Bishop vs. Lucas Crowe
Last week WFWF International Champion Lucas Crowe was pinned by his next challenger David Brennan during a triple threat main event. That’s not going to sit well with the big man or his manager Justin Tyme. He’ll be looking to get things back on track with this match but might find that that’s easier said than done given his opponent. Joe Bishop’s recent return to the WFWF has seen him prove that he’s still got that potential that everyone saw in him, and now has a mission to dedicate it to – making the WFWF great again, making it about wrestling rather than about politics and corrupt regimes. Which makes it fitting that his opponent this week has thrown in with one such regime. Crowe is running buddies not only with Tyme, but also with Trace Demon and Drakz, having done their dirty work for months now. This match will definitely be an opportunity for Bishop to put a small dent in the machine, but he’ll have to avoid getting his head kicked off to do it.
Back 2 The Future
---------------------------------------------------
Future vs. Vass "The Slayer”
HE’S BAAAAACK! (I know that’s exactly how we introduced Bishop last show but f*ck you). For those that don’t know who the man is you soon will. Future helped forge the WFWF back in the days of yore and now he’s decided is the time to return and remind the world why he was once considered among the elite. His first opportunity at weighing up against the new blood? Vass “The Slayer”. Last week Vass picked up a huge victory over Trevor Wolf and continues his climb up the ladder. If he can make this show a repeat of his last outing he’ll have stopped the WFWF legend in his tracks and will surely have hop skipped and jumped into International title contention. This is big for both guys!
Mystery Man
---------------------------------------------------
Cam Nitta vs. Quenton Alexander
We still don’t know very much about this Quenton Alexander but in the same vein neither does Cam Nitta and thus Alexander may have an advantage. Last show we saw Nitta fight for his life, at times quite literally, against Lucas Crowe and David Brennan and in fact the finish of the match was partly his doing but alas it did not end with Cam’s hand raised. He’ll no doubt be looking to get the momentum back on his side this week but can Alexander use the mystery surrounding him to pick up the W?
The WFWF Special
---------------------------------------------------
Makoto Nishiyama vs. Brandon Bison vs. Dr Mantis Toboggan
It’s a multi-man match. In the WFWF. What? You’re surprised? Do you even watch this show? Yes ladies and gentlemen we’re kicking things off with a triple threat match with three guys all looking for that victory that would get them the hell out of these things and into some regular singles action. Or hell, even a tag match, I’m sure they’d take that quite happily. Brandon Bison and Mantis Toboggan (we still don’t believe he’s a qualified doctor if we’re honest) are well aware of what these matches mean but the unknown factor comes in the form of Makoto Nishiyama who’ll be making his debut. The eccentric Nishiyama will want to kick his WFWF career off with a bang, but can he do that at the expense of his opponents? No, we’re seriously asking. Why does nobody answer our questions?
