I absolutely love that DeBeers man!
I really dig the obscure customs I see on here. I notice you that you state that the skin tones are painted. Are you mixing and matching or is it a specific brand of paint that you use?
I can only paint attires and I do shading and washes . Skin tone is something I've been apprehensive of trying because I can never seem to get the mixture right

I just play around with the colors until i like it, and on top of the skin tone i do a shade and and some washes ontop of it. paints used Citadel paints agarath earthshade yriel yellow xv-88 abbadon black mephiston red ceramite white kislev flesh cadian fleshtone Testors Camo green drab brushes used Loew-Cornell 1,2,3,4,5,6 Citadel -base mastertouch filbert 10/0,spotter 10/0 |

Abdullah The Butcher I really didnt like how jakks figure turned out so I wanted to make one look more like him. I resculpted his chest and torso, sculpted an elbow pad, and repainted it. Paints used (Citadel) XV-88 Cadian Fleshtone Ceramite White Altdorf Guard Blue Mephiston Red Abaddon Black Agarath Earth Shade       Mine and a Jakks Figure  |

Your Abdullah is clearly the superior! Definitely better color, heck, his tights even look less sloppy than the stock version. Are you going to make him a bloody forehead variant head, since I've always heard he was reputedly the easiest bleeder in the ring?

Love the design on pants. How durable is the paint. Could it with stand play. And what type of paint. Also do you take apart the legs and paint or just paint them how they are |

Im not sure about playing, I just either sell mine or set them on my shelf. All of the paints ive used has been said multiple times in this thread, I think I said it on both Abdullah and DeBeers, same paints different figure lol. I never take apart figures when painting, i find when I try to put them back together the paint rubs or im too clumsy, I just carefully paint it how it is. thanks! |
