I'd rather have a Stunning Steve from the Hollywood Blondes, with the beard of course.

Love it! I think this is the closest we'll ever get to that feeling again. It would've been crazy to walk in a TRU and find this. Absolutely. Those were the days. No internet. Not knowing anything about what's out. Just walking into a toy store and being amazed. And begging your parents off course. ...well you guys don't have to look on the internet for upcoming figures, you know...

On the trunks color: I find it funny that as recently as just this past week, "The Ringmaster" himself made mention on his clean version podcast, while initially referencing Damien Sandow's debut "sorry @$$ pink trunks" to guest Vince Russo, about being "in those sorry @$$ green trunks." I think I'm more surprised (than the random retail pop-up itself catching us all off guard), similar to what some have already stated, how Austin approved this gimmick being given the Network Spotlight Elite figure treatment. Albeit I'm ecstatic & euphoric that he in fact gave the go-ahead-GREEN-light! Oh, and there sure are a lot of skeptics on here who get proven wrong quite often, by the way. Those who don't believe until something is seen definitely don't have a bad approach, and hey, I'm the same way. However, it is still amusing to observe, while awaiting the dust to settle, not unlike a vulture perching & lurking. Plus, I always enjoy the proverbial foot-in-mouth results.

So where was this found? Surprised they're not up on eBay yet. Must be a real isolated release so far.

So have there been loose pics posted yet? Are the trunks black or green?

I tried that once for Jakks classic 14. Pre-ordered them and tried to avoid pictures. It was really hard, wound up seeing Backlund before I got them. Society is so Internet focused I don't think I couldn't do it again. ..would be cool though. Love it! I think this is the closest we'll ever get to that feeling again. I remember walking into KayBee toys and seeing the WWF figures series 1 Razor Ramon, Bret Hart, Diesel, and Shawn Michaels. Remember it to this day. I have a similar memory but it was at a toys r us. I saw the whole first series and only picked up the undertaker and bret I grew up with my brother who is two years older than me and my cousin who is three years older than me. One day we were all hanging out when my mom and my aunt came in with the entire series 1 action figures. My cousin got HBK (his favorite) and Goldust. My brother got Diesel (his favorite) and the Undertaker. And I got Bret Hart (my favorite) and Razor Ramon.

The randomness and unexpected Ringmaster is one of the things I like about the Mattel line. Little by little, they are reading to our list of wants and delivering them within their power. Certain things like wrestlers getting on WWE's s*** list make this hard. But they are doing a much better job of getting figures out. With the increase in lines and places that sell them, Mattel will only catch up but surpass JAKKS classic superstar list within a few years.

Really amazed to see how many people are saying they'll pass. Of course, to each their own, but this is a definite buy for me! To be honest, I'm more shocked by the amount of people saying it's a must-have. I could understand that reaction for Stunning Steve or Blondes Steve, but not The Ringmaster.

It had to be around my bday and my mom and dad wouldn't let me get them but got me HBK and Vader I think for my bday. I def know HBK. I can't remember how I got the rest of that set though. Damn those were the days

Ok so... Someone brought this to my attention this morning.... I'm not normally one to fall for bs, customs or swaps... But this actually looks legit! MattelDesignTeam - IS THIS REAL?!? EDIT... It's real!!!!!! Shame the back of the box, I cannot get Austin in that pose with the belt due to the lack of double elbows : (

Regardless, Mattel is smart to make The Ringmaster now as appose to after Stunning Steve Austin or The Hollywood Blondes. I gather that a lot of collectors will get it, but I think the majority are on the fence. Mattel knows this is their best chance to make the most profit on a Ringmaster Austin. Personally, I'll pass. However, I could become interested if I had a 20% off Toy R Us coupon and, at least, a $5 rewards cash.
