I think this was the best place to put this but if it's not please move as it should.
I myself was a fan of wrestling since 2 in 2005. I came across TNA in 2007 and I "found" indie wrestling in 2013. I find myself not intrigued by wrestling as much as I used to be as a young child. I watched a match last night and was intrigued for the first time in a while and the match was Tyler Black vs Bryan Danielson from ROH Southern Navigation 5/22/08?? I stared at my phone screen for the solid 20 minutes not moving my eyes or checking the time or anything. I was screaming at my phone for Seth not to tap to cattle mutalation. How is it that this is so intriguing and current wrestling isn't. I'm baffled. I like current wrestling but I'm not intrigued just sit there on my phone glancing up at times and watching. Nonetheless I'll be watching tonight only because Seth, AJ and Owens are in the biggest matches of the show. I'm am very intrigued by NXT and everything they are doing with it btw

Too many PPV's is 1 of the main problems, WWE MUST cut back on the amount of events, fans are becoming less and less interested in the product when your getting a PPV once every 3 weeks - that is absolutley ridiculous. Also why does RAW need to be 3 hours long? what was wrong with 2 hours like it used to be?.
I would imagine that the 1st 15 minutes of raw would urk anyone, it's always the same - a wrestler comes out miffed/annoyed, shouts on the mic, then a fan-favourite will appear and say 'cut your whining and grow up' then a boss/general manager will appear and say: 'if you 2 want to sort this, how abut we make a match later on tonight'...... this has been done to DEATH.
No it's not just you OP. WWE need to change, but in all fairness, I've enjoyed the product a little more this year, than I did last year in 2015 - all that authority stuff last year where HHH and Steph would constantly punish wrestlers week in, week out was dire viewing.

Not for me. I'm even watching the game tonight over MITB. It's the same old stuff with new guys. How many times have they done that dumb multi man specialty match angle where everyone comes out and interrupts each other until a brawl starts? The gm comes out and now it's a tag match. Or where a guy beats out everyone else, climbs the ladder at the end of Smackdown and grabs the briefcase for no reason? And Rusev has murdered just about every big black guy they have because they're "American." It's not even leaving me wondering who will win. Don't even get me started on the atrocities they call stories. Wtf even is this Ziggler and Corbin fued? How long is Bray Wyatt gonna babble some crap about his opponent not being worthy only to lose every fued? Suprise me. When the draft comes, do an NXT invasion angle. Interesting. I think it's a great idea to have younger talent destroy everything in sight to establish themselves. I'm done with my rant, but WWE is really losing me here.

Well.
I wouldn't say it isn't intriguing, because I find myself yelling at people I like because I don't want them to lose, I.e Dean Ambrose or Damien Sandow in the ARMBAR.

AJ Styles vs Xavier Woods on Smackdown this week was something special, in my opinion. Both wrestlers were clearly enjoying the match and it was really, really good. During the match I was actually thinking about how much I was enjoying it, and how long it had been since I felt that way watching WWE. It can be intriguing still. They just don't do it often enough.

Some of it is good, but I do find my figure fed more intriguing than current WWE.

Nothing about the WWE is gripping anymore. Feuds and storylines are half baked and it's hard to get excited about anything.
Last night I watched the Raw from 1998 where the Outlaws joined the Corporation and then later that night DX revealed that it was all a trick. Now that Raw was gripping from start to finish, it had a story and everything was fun and enjoyable.
A Raw from todays era has become an impossible quest to get through.

The internet didn't help matters either, when the world wide web became available in the mid to late 90's - fans were able to go online and find the in's and out's of wrestling - how wrestling was really done, who's been fired, how storylines really work e.t.c....., it killed the mystery of not knowing how wrestling was done (of course deep down we wll knew it was scripted) but when the internet confirmed this for us a great deal of excitement that wrestling fans had, had died.
of course I'm not saying the internet is completely to blame, but you have to admit the world wide web didn't help matters.

Depends on the individual. Depends on the night. Personally I think tonight's show should be great and I'm excited for it to begin. But some Mondays and Thursdays I get a bit bored watching WWE and I find myself playing Tapped Out while listening to the show.
That being said, I think business is gonna pick up. Mostly because I think the brand split could be good for WWE. The RAW writers won't wanna be outshined by SD. And vise-versa. So they won't be able to be complacent anymore. Hopefully with the call up and former talent returning, things will get shaken up.

Hopefully the brand split leads to another world championship. It's hard for there to be a feeling of competition when you know that every number one contender is gonna be fed to Roman Reigns.

To me, yes. If I'm not enjoying one company, I can just go and watch another.

The internet and boards like this ruin the magic of wrestling, for instance Kane vs Undertaker would've never been gotten over because people would've crap on their ring instead of appreciating the storyline. The internet also spoils a lot of spoilers, results, debuts, etc. There is also less intriguing storylines since almost everything has been done before, it's more realistic with reality rather then kayfabe.
I'm not saying this to be offensive to anyone by the way, but that's my take.

For me, I'm just disinterested in everything related to the main roster of WWE right now. It just feels like a regurgitation of the same show each week. There's rarely something fresh or exciting. Everything feels overexposed. Lots of things feel cheesy. I just don't care about it.
However, most companies outside of WWE can still hook me in. NJPW, ROH, TNA, RevPro, Progress... whatever. Maybe it's because WWE presents itself more as "entertainment" than as a wrestling company, and for the most part, I just want to watch some good wrestling.

I just watched that Raw too! It was on my TV On Demand channel, with a bunch of other Raw shows from 1998 and other years.

Absolutely! A combination of MITB and NGW has rekindled my previously depleting love for wrestling.

There is just too much of it! I made a post awhile back saying how the commitment of being a WWE fan is ing crazy!!!! And it looks like it is going to be getting worse. I loved Money In The Bank last night it was a damn fine PPV, but that then three hours of RAW then two of Smackdown and one of NXT mixed in is just too much. This is not even counting the wrestling related stuff they have on the Network! Each week on the Network they should have a one hour RAW recap and a one hour Smackdown recap and I bet they would be a huge hit.
