I'm glad I have tickets to that show. There probably won't be a lot of wrestling, but it will be something different and hopefully fun.

I'm excited about the draft. I used to love watching these. I assumed they were going to do some on RAW and finish it on the live SD.
But I was really hoping they were gonna do a live draft special on the network. Could have given us a two hour show without any matches. Just the draft picks and some promos from those who were just selected.

WrestleZone reported that WWE officially announced? I'm gonna need a source on this.
I'm excited for this. I can't wait to like SmackDown again.

I like the fact that they're doing it on Smackdown rather than Raw.

What are the odds? lol. Over ten years ago, I had tickets to go to Smackdown in Rochester and they ended up having a roster split like the day before my show on Raw so I saw the first Smackdown after the roster split (and was pretty upset too cause there were some people on RAW I wanted to see). Now this year I have tickets to see Smackdown in Buffalo, and now they announce that a week before my show they are having a roster split. So my Buffalo show will be the first Smackdown with a new roster. History is repeating itself.

Hopefully this means the return of CM Punk! He's been out injured for the last few years now.
Just kidding!
But seriously, the draft concept is cool but it just reeks of 2002 - 2008 era of the WWE. That Ruthless Aggression stuff.
I also wonder how long before some main guys end up appearing on both shows to boost ratings??

Good decision to have it on the live Smackdown Premiere, just to make sure people tune in to the first one and hopefully make a habit out of it.

On a hunch, I picked up some tickets to the first live Smackdown on StubHub the day they announced the split for about $40 a whack. The section I'm in is now whipped out, and sections on either side of me are starting at $75-$80 a head.
I am excite.

I wonder if the will change the Raw and Smackdown arenas. Both shows look identical atm except for the ring skirts. They need their own rope colour and entrance stage to stand out.

I wonder if the will change the Raw and Smackdown arenas. Both shows look identical atm except for the ring skirts. They need their own rope colour and entrance stage to stand out. I've discussed several things about the booking that needs to be done for this thing to be done right. Well not the actual booking of the storylines, but just the general idea of keeping rosters seperate and championships exclusive. But aside from that, the other thing that cannot be stressed enough is how different the shows need to be aesthetically from one another. As you mentioned, ring rope color and some variation of stage setup. I'd go as far as saying different lighting and even ring mat color. However, with SD going live now, thats gonna be an expenditure they normally dont have on a weekly basis. So, i imagine they're probably gonna cheap out where they can, and that'll probably be in the area of keeping the set up of both shows relatively unchanged. I'd like to be surprised though.
