Mattel has never paid anyone for belts WWE has licensed the ones that Mattel has made True and I should have clarified that WWE are the ones who would have paid Midwest in the past. Midwest gets a percentage of any replica WWE makes of the classic belts and the figure size ones too. Someone in the past here asked Dave Millican about Mattel/WCW belts and he said it isn't an issue that the ball is in Mattel/WWEs court. Bill said in that thread that he couldn't do them. Is what it is. I would love to have any of the WCW/JCP belts but obviously there is an issue. It doesn't appear to be any type of deal between WWE/Midwest for those belts. Video games have used the images recently. The only replica I see currently available is a tag belt but I don't believe Midwest made that one. Video games have the belts because they made a deal with Milican Mattel wont

it really is a travisty that Mattel can't pony up the cash to pay the designers to get those classic belts made, but they can sink a ton of money into Zombies. If the TV title does see the light of day - oh how I wish it will have a red strap! Simple. Zombies are made but sold as a complete figure earning full wholesale value where there was previously none. The belts are accessories on a figure which add no more income to a figure than what it will already be sold at. Ie: they won't add a pound per figure for this (because if they did there would be complaints anyway). I won't be buying he zombies line but I get the appeal for some and you can't judge any line as a reduction in spend in others as simply or these are designed to generate their own income source and not suck profit out of others. Mattel being a smart business would not produce any line if it wasn't covering more than the cost of that individual lines production and distribution costs in sure! Now don't get me wrong I understand the argument about some prominent widely recognised titles such as the WCW US title but other NWA titles are likely to be used enough to be profitable. But I'd rather Mattel keep giving us some awesome attires and wrestlers than spend all the lines budget on a title that maybe only 5-10% (guess) of their market would determine as a purchase clincher. That said I'm currently disappointed in the recent DM line and maybe the extra value paid here is the way to achieve these belts?

Different people, have designed the titles over the years.
Wwe dont own the rights to every belt, even from companies they bought out.
They would have to reach out to the individual designer to get the rights to use the likeness of their design.
Cant see them digging deep for obscure belts. Maybe eventually wcw ones

My Tully figure want this post locked. Now only if we can get a baby doll figure. Yes, I know it will never happen for those ready to pounce.

The head scan is ok. I've never been a huge Magnum TA fan. I'll pick up the figure though just because it fits in with the era I collect.
I hope the books are red and white cowboy boots so that I can use them to make a "Natural" Dustin Rhodes figure.

If we're lucky, we may eventually get the last set of ECW belts, and the belts WCW used

Beautiful. And I for one am glad for a molded vest. Fabric really only looks good for fitted t-shirts. Remember how bad Elite 5 Ziggler's vest looked. Surprised so many people are complaining about a plastic vest. It's a plastic toy at a small scale. Fabric looks weird.
